About the Business

We're all about amazing pizza here at 433 E Street, and every pie we make is created with that passion. Since our home is in downtown's Gaslamp Quarter, it's easy to grab a slice to give you the energy to explore all that San Diego has to offer: clubs, the Balboa Theater, and even Petco Park! Great pizzas aren't the only thing we're cooking up, though. We also have other Italian favorites like lasagna and stromboli. And with sandwiches and wings, all your friends and family will be able to find something they really love because bringing people together over great food is what Tony's Pizza is all about.

Marco was the best! He showed my friends and I such great customer service. Was walking around late at night trying to find a spot to charge my phone and eat. He was so welcoming and charged my phone for me while I hung out.

Would rate the place 0 stars if I could. The guy serving the pizza was super rude and passive aggressive.. I was directed to a sign saying "kwiturbitchin" after politely correcting him about over charging me for more slices than I had ordered. Then aggressively called my husband "homeboy" in attempts to shoo us out.
Pizza was a solid 5/10.
I do not recommend. - John M.Long Beach, CA41314411/27/2022
In the downtown area, walking around after a bad experience somewhere else this spot was near by, the man at the counter was friendly and fast
Got myself a Buffalo pizza slice, it hit the spot. It was good! Tasted warm hot and fresh. It was also very affordable
3 stars because he didn't have any pepperoni slices available but overall fast friendly and delicious - Brian S.Inglewood, CA169872155/3/2023
Well, I didn't find Tony Montana but I did locate a solid late night cravings spot in downtown San Diego. Selling pizza by the slice and more, the small storefront offered friendly & quick service. Around $5-6+ per slice

Awful! Threw it away! I don't know how you can mess up pizza when it's the only thing you make! Yuck

Guy told us a couple minutes then said 15minutes and told us to f*ck off since we asked to make it easier for them and quicker for us to switch to slices. He was a self described a&$hole.

Tony's Pizza is located in the Gaslamp off E Street and 4th serving up Pizza all through the day and night.
I dropped by Tony's after a night of going out with friends for drinks and had the munchies and was craving something that would fulfill my empty stomach. I walked in and there were a couple of customers coming through ordering as well.
I went ahead and ordered the pepperoni jalapeño ranch Pizza by the slice. All the pizzas are on display and when you order they throw the slice into the hot oven again to reheat it but in my case they did not. He told me that the Pizza just came out of the oven and is already hot. In my head and eyes it wasnt hot he just wanted to get people in and out as fast as he could to prevent a crowd build up from all the crowds on a weekend night.
As for the Pizza it was just okay and nothing spectacular. The Gaslamp has tons of pizza by the slice shops and I have never expierenced something like this before where service was not a priority. Maybe during the day and they don't have a rush this place would be better. - 268306106710/26/2021
I love this New York City style pizza. The crust is fresh and crispy. The cheese is salty and creamy. I got the E Street special which has fresh tomato, mushrooms, and basil. You can't go wrong with that! My boyfriend got a slice of the Brewski which has pepperoni and sausage. Also a winner. He grew up in New York and confirmed that this is indeed New York City style pizza as it was easy to fold in half without the crust breaking...something I still don't understand but what I do understand is that these were delicious pies!
I believe it was the owner that greeted us. Great guy! Everyone here was so nice! - Chris W.Spring Valley, CA1376140262/4/2023
If Price Gouging was a Pizza Shop lol. $7 for a mediocre slice and $50 for a whole pie I would have left but the guy threw the slices in the oven already. $5 for a water to lol. I know downtown rent is pricey but come on now.

This place was the last option & I still regret going here.. the service was very poor & the guy working the oven obviously hates his job. Please seek workers who want to work or at least pretend they want to be there.
