I don't even know if anybody in Japan checks reviews of doctors on Yelp, but I still have to post this. I contacted this doctor as his ads were all over the internet, which of course does not mean he was the best, but I had to try.

After spending many years in the US, this place reminded me of the realty I have forgotten that doctors in Japan are condescending in general who look down on everybody and expect others to respect them blindly. How on earth a therapist/psychiatrist can be so rude and arrogant to a potential client/patient who contacted him hoping to get some help? Also, I could smell this doctor's underlying disrespect toward Japanese women. He made me feel so violated during a few minutes of phone conversation that I wanted to take a shower afterwards.

If anybody reads this and knows any good and helpful therapists who speaks English, but does not refuse to speak English because your first name is Japanese, please do let me know.

Dr B doesnt even deserve 1 star, I don't recommend him at all. He preys on the weak. His practice is shady, his advice is dodgy, he's overpriced, and he's purely just scamming. Pushing drugs ($$) seems to be his main concern, and he cant even legally prescribe them. He was licensed to practice in America a very long time ago, and he has never been granted a license in Japan. He works out of his apartment. He will "write" you a prescription, and you have to visit another doctor to get it approved. Oh, and he is misogynistic to boot.

He'll bully you into another session. He'll not really listen to what you are saying. He'll ask you the same questions over and over again. He'll try to tell you that you have ADHD. (more drugs he can prescribe!) If you're a woman you can expect sexist comments - and if he thinks you are "unattractive" then its only going to be worse. (He'll even suggest cheating on your spouse!) He'll make comments about your weight. He'll question your intelligence. He'll hassle you for money. If you try to cancel a session he will demand you pay up, or he'll practically stalk your phone/emails. HE REALLY pushes the drugs, and way too quickly.

He pays for his ads to be on the top of the google search engines. He stalks reddit, blogs, and forums that would leave him any bad commentary, does his best to have them removed. He'll harass users that leave said comments.

Avoid at all costs. Find someone else.
