My daughter is home sick so my hubby brought us lunch! This is the fish Tokyo fish served. WTF is wrong with this place. How many people's hands did this go through before my husband picked this shit up? I was so happy to hear our small town was getting a sushi place but I hardly ever get anything made right from this place! The fish is grey/brown in color and they still serve it!! Piece of trash!

Figured I would try them out since they claimed there was new ownership. The food has always been horrible and service was just as bad. Prior to going, I checked their Facebook page which showed their business hours to be 11am to 9:30pm. Showed up at 4:25 pm and the open sign was on and the door was open. Went in to eat and was very rudely told at the door that they do not seat anyone until 4:30pm. Another customer walked in behind us and before she could say anything the manager very rudely made the statement again that they don't seat anyone until 4:30. That customer only asked for a Togo menu and didn't even ask to be seated. For a business that wants customers to return after new management, they sure treat customers like crap. That was the last time I will step foot in that building.

Worse and getting worser! At first they were the in place to dine out in Morgan City, offering Japanese food locally that you don't have to drive out-of-town to find. The food was really good, atmosphere lively, good drinks and fast service. So what happened?
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 1, 2018Previous reviewStarted out as the in place to dine. The food was really good, service excellent and for once we didn't have to drive out of town for Japanese food. Something happened later and somehow the quality of the food and service declined. I remember once there was a bartender then the severs started mixing the drinks and they're not so good any more. The Ika Fries (fried squid) used to come out thinly sliced, now are thick and difficult to eat. For a Japanese restaurant it's not the most attractive place with pretty decor on the inside or outside as it was once the towns American Legion. I hope they take pride in their business and food as they once did.

Mmmm.. nah
It's ok nothing special is ok to fulfill your cravings. Very inconsistent service, one day is good the next it changes. Service and food, one day I will get a really nice sashimi or sushi and the next day it tastes like there is a new cook in house.
Other than that servÃs not the best but I let it pass.

Worst sushi EVER! Tempera was gigantic pieces, spider roll had a very fishy taste and not in a good way! Volcano roll, just avoid it!!

First impression, the lighting is too harsh.
The service was quick and efficient, always checking on me.
I ordered the hibachi emperor, which was good. The filet was cooked correctly. The lobster was good. The shrimp was slightly overcooked.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lori R.Port Allen, LA124May 26, 2017
We ate here for the first time today! Good service and food. Worth the stop.

Food made me sick. Don't sit down. Get the hibachi. This is a Japanese hibachi restaurant with white kids working in the kitchen. The owner is Japanese and does the hibachi. The crab legs were undercook.. possibly left out .. meat was hard to pick out, crab legs were soggy, made us both sick..

Got into Morgan city after our flight and just wanted some food so we stopped by. The sushi was disgusting. Rice of grainy and hard. Filet and shrimp was overcooked. Took 20 minutes to get a salad. Waiter was nice but took forever. Prices were pretty high for not being good.
