Tina's Whiskey Tavern

I bought a Groupon local flavor deal to come here so I'm pretty pleased I didn't pay full price. I don't expect much from bar food, but some are really good. We ordered 3 apps, loaded tater tots, chicken quesadilla and garlic wings. The wings were just awful, soggy and lacked flavor. The chicken quesadilla was surprisingly good, but the tater tots were awful as well. I gave 2 stars based on the delicious pineapple cider that was on the menu, but other than that I wouldn't return.

The place is VERY small, barely any seating inside. We sat outside on a humid day, but being right on Hylan Blvd with constant cars and traffic it wasn't relaxing or pleasurable.

The service is the pits. I had to leave my credit card at the bar of which I'm not sure why since I didn't want to run a tab. After our meal I asked for the bill (of which i never received) the waitress told me I owed $6 because the cider wasn't part of the groupon local flavor deal. Uhhhh ok well then I would have ordered more food to cover the $30 of which the deal was for. I was already hot and remained hungry and wanted to get out of there so I didn't argue over it. I sat waiting for another half hour for the bill or my credit card to be returned. I went inside to ask for my credit card back, the waitress smiled and said $6, I politely said I wanted my card back. She laughs and says "ohhhhh silly me, you were waiting long for that".

Can't say I would ever return even for a drink with service like that.

I went with my friend and it was dead because it was at 1 pm maybe and we got the food my friend had a burger it was big and I had quesadillas they were good

I just can't say enough good things about this place. I am simply blown away-impressed. Granted, it's bar food, but it's delicious and served in the friendliest of ways. Erin was our waitress and when I say she went above and beyond, I do not exaggerate. We are so pleased by our first TWT experience. Highly recommended!

Great place for food, drinks, and friends. The entire staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The bartender (Ashley) makes the absolute best Bloody Mary you will ever drink! The locals are fun and talkative. This was our first time there and by the end of the night it felt like home.

Whiskey Bars:

While some Whiskey Bars conjure up images of Dark Wood, Worn Leather and listing to Thelonious Monk while sipping on 18yr old Scotch
and yet others Matte Black Paint, Guns N Roses & a bottle of Jack.

Tina's Whiskey Tavern is more Fresh Drywall, Karaoke & Fireball.

That's not to say all is lost,
This new bar on Hyland Blvd with its eclectic clientele is very welcoming.

Kat the bartender with her Raven Hair & Rockabilly Red Lipstick
will expertly mix up a cocktail for you from the bars large Bourbon selection.

I look forward to a return trip.

I went to Tina's Whiskey Tavern with a few friends last night for a chill night and when we sat down, I had asked if there were any drink specials going on. Dana, our bartender very nastily said "well considering no bars on Staten Island do drink specials on Saturday.. no." I responded with "oh sorry I don't go out on the island" she said "ok so let's rewind, what would you like". I asked Dana for a vodka soda, and when asked what type of vodka, I wasn't sure so I just said well. She looked at me in disgust and said ew really why get well for two more dollars you can get Tito's do you want well for $5 or Tito's for $7. I was uncomfortable so I got the Tito's. Time passes by and I finish my drink and I went to order another one. I wanted to order a Jameson ginger with lemonade (it's supposed to be really good, I wouldn't know because I wasn't able to try!! ) and she AGAIN judged my order "you DRINK that shit? Like I just want to know why? You drink that shit? Do you think it's good?" So i again, very uncomfortably ordered something else. I then ordered a spiked seltzer and she gave me a straw with it. When I saw the straw I said "ooh a straw good" and she told me "yeah you don't want to drink from the can those dirtbag Mexicans touch those". Being Spanish myself I was very offended. I was mostly mortified that my bartender for this place I've never heard of was so condescending, and so uncomfortable because I was being judged with every drink I ordered. I'm absolutely disgusted in the service that I got, and I'm telling everyone not to check that place out, unless you like shitty service.

Great bartenders and the perfect neighborhood bar. Best part is the food, always hot and menu is changed periodically.

Gotta say, GREAT PLACE TO HANG OUT! Owner thought of all creature comforts, likes feedback! So much fun ,great outdoor area,your music plays outside.I watched my sports too.Food was great,Thanks to Tina,had so much fun! So if you get a chance GO,have some fun or just relax.

Pool tables. Dart boards. Nice patio lots of Tvs. Great drinks. Lots of Whiskey to choose from. Lots of beers on tap
