Timberjack Smokehouse & Saloon

Visited Timberjacks on a road trip and are glad we did.
Ribs and chicken were both delicious. The sides we chose were amazingly cheesy hashbrowns (addictive) and coleslaw that was a bit peppery with just the right amount of dressing (not drowning or dry).
Our server was attentive and friendly and although near closing time, we weren't made to feel rushed.
The location is woodsy and just off the main hwy 371.

We wanted a little local flare and we got it. Great place, Amber behind the bar was great and personable. We had the chicken and the all you can eat fish. The barstools are beautiful pieces of wood work! Very cozy environment . Love it! Too bad we live so far away..

Enjoyed a delicious meal here. I had the wild rice soup and it was delicious, wish I had gotten a bowl instead of a cup! It came with breadsticks which were also good. For dinner, I had the prime rib sandwich which was served in toast and it was very good, I'd recommend trying it. Overall, friendly staff, nice option, and great service.

I've been coming here for years and loved their barbque and cheesy potatoes. This summer I was disappointed to drive over to Pequot Lakes for dinner and find out they were closed. The sign said will open spring so that did not happen since I came early summer and returned again in September. Not sure how long they have been closed however was disappointed.

We stopped in for dinner while on vacation in Pequot Lakes. The decor was really interesting! Everywhere we looked there was a unique piece that caught our eye. The food was good. We had Saturday's Prime Rib Special. The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and full of flavor! The famous au gratin the website and menu spoke so highly of was a little disappointing. The service was prompt and attentive; our server was a bubbly person that made us feel right at home. It is clearly a local favorite, as the place was packed. I'm excited to try some of their other dishes!

the taste was amazing, the barbecue sauce was on the side which I prefer, the ribs were smoked in a smokehouse on site, so tasty. I will be coming back and trying lots of things on there menu.

We went here on Saturday night and the prime rib was the special. It was so meaty and charbroiled deliciousness. The au gratin potatoes were the cheesiest I've ever had. The baked beans were similar to Bushes but had what reminded me of a little nutmeg. They were pretty tasty but probably wouldn't order again. The meal came with a vegetable and two sides. The vegetable was green beans which were ok. Cooked well but not really seasoned or anything special. I can't get the prime rib out of my mind. I do wish our meals came with some dinner rolls or some type of bread seemed to be missing. Nice restaurant and good service!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My wife and I went here tonight as we were staying at a cabin close by and it is our anniversary. We thought we would have a nice quiet romantic dinner. When we came in the hostess seemed frazzled which was strange since it was not that busy.

A party of four walked in behind us and the hostess asked if my wife and I wanted to sit at the bar. We declined she then said she did not really have seating for two but did for four. We then turned around and left after being in the place for a grand total of three minutes. Really disappointing and really horrible service. Way to keep it local.

We have been making this a regular stop as we love their bbq ribs and their walleye fingers. Service is great. Wish they'd bring back music which has been a fun backdrop. Nice people.

We eat here several time a summer and we've never had a bad meal or bad service. Tonight we had the brisket and it was SO good!
