Tikiyaki

Love this place so much!!! Been here 2x in 1 week.
These days a meal from a fast food joint will cost you $12+. Why would one eat a greasy burger or taco when one can opt for a healthy, delish , inexpensive teriyaki bowl or plate at Tikiyaki for under $10?
Yeah, I know good teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce her is amazing. Food here is 100x better than Flame Broiler.
Friendly, efficient service.

Don't understand the point of ordering ahead if I still have to wait in line to get my food. My biggest problem was the ladies attitude when I told them I was there to pick up my order. Unnecessarily rude and disrespectful

Tikiyaki offers a budget-friendly dining experience with a unique twist on traditional flavors. During my visit, I tried their Volcano Chicken, which earned a rating of 3 out of 5.

One notable aspect of Tikiyaki is the generous portion sizes at a reasonable price point. The Volcano Chicken, while flavorful, had a texture reminiscent of sweet and sour chicken from Panda Express, with a heavy batter and crispiness. Additionally, the volcano sauce provided a medium level of spice, adding a satisfying kick to the dish.

In terms of service, the staff was attentive, and the pricing was commendable considering the ample servings.

Got a steak and chicken bowl. Steak is a little tough. But they give you so much meat! It's a great value. I think the chicken tastes better.

I also got a veggie side. It's a good portion. I love how the veggies still have some crunch.

The habanero sauce they gave me was a sweet teriyaki watery version. Yuck. I wanted the green sauce. I called to complain, she said that's for only if you dine in.

Oh well.

I think I will try their plate next time.

The cost for two large bowls was under $17. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is the order. I did request for my bowl to be half rice and half vegetables, but upon coming home I only got the rice. Other than that, everything was good!!

Great eats for cheap! This place is always busy, so I tend to call ahead to place my order. The chicken teriyaki plate is great, with huge portions for less than $10. I used to like the volcano chicken, but honestly it's not as good as it used to be. Regardless, this place is great and flame broiler wishes it could be as good as this place!

Woooooo, this place SLAPS. I've come twice now and would whole heartedly recommend that you eat here during lunch rush because the meat was so tender it melted in my mouth. The sauce is sweet and flavorful and super complimentary to the food. Best and only coleslaw I've ever enjoyed and this is the most inexpensive delicious and natural food establishment around. You cannot beat the portions for the price and taste. Love this place. Get the chicken and steak plate_ it even comes with a free egg roll

Very small and quaint joint with limited seating, but there are more outdoor seating available! This seems to be a family owned shop and I was surprised they knew Cantonese since I don't really hear that too often outside! I speak Cantonese too so it was very welcoming for me to hear that haha. Otherwise, the cashier at front was very efficient and kind!

I ordered the teriyaki chicken plate and it didn't take too long for it to be finished. The cashier even brought it over to me at the table when it was ready, so kind! The moment I opened the box, the portions they offered here were huuuuuge. I was surprised this was even this much, well worth it for $9!! You can even substitute for brown rice for free. Although, a lot of the size is mainly the rice, but I think that's still pretty worth haha. The teriyaki chicken was pretty nice as well. I like how they offered different types of sauce to complement your meal. There's also an egg roll include but if I have to be honest, I didn't really like the egg roll lol. The egg roll had like a very mushy filling, so I wish it had actual meat or something. Coleslaw was pretty standard!

Overall, great experience and would definitely come back!

I really enjoy picking up (or dine-in) a good teriyaki bowl from here. The portions are great for the price and service is generally pretty good. It DOES get busy so wait can be an issue.

My go to see the steak and veggies, the orange chicken, or the Volcano Chicken (which isn't really that spicy so for those that just want a little kick). Only negative I could think of is sometimes the outside of the fried orange/volcano chicken can be a little tough.

Overall my go to spot if I'm in the area after a good hike or bike ride down the street. Highly recommend.

The orange chicken is great here! Sweet, tangy, perfectly crisped while still being juicy. Everything else is good here too. Love to support a small local business. Bummer they're closed Sundays. Definitely recommend for quick, yummy but affordable eats!
