Thumb's Body Waxing

I recently visited Thumb Body Waxing for a Brazilian waxing. I had made an appointment for 4:45 and arrived a few minutes early at 4:40. I was asked to wait in the waiting area, and although I understand that slight delays can happen, I ended up being called back at 5:01. It was a bit of a wait considering my appointment time, but overall, it wasn't too bothersome.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The facility itself was clean and well maintained. I also noticed there were various notes posted around the place, reminding people to be mindful of their actions, such as not wasting paper towels and using appropriate language. I found these reminders amusing and appreciated the effort to promote a positive environment.

In terms of pricing, I noticed their rates were slightly higher compared to what I'm used to in Atlanta, but the difference was only around $5. While it's not a significant increase, it's worth considering if you're budget-conscious.

Overall, I had a positive experience. Despite the slight delay and slightly higher pricing, the friendly staff and clean facility made up for it. I would consider visiting again in the future, especially if I'm in need of a quick self-care session.

After reading lots of mixed reviews about other hair removal places ( wax,sugar, etc...) and calling a few places with all my inquiries about the process, I was definitely headed to Thumbs! The great customer service could be experienced through the phone! All of my many questions were answered and Thumb made me feel really comfortable asking anything!

I have to say that I normally groom my own private parts, so this was a first! I get there and am quickly greeted. Thumb explained everything to me before anything happened which put me at ease. I braced for shock at the thought ripping hairs, but it wasn't that painful at all. I was pleasantly surprised! We conversed about our kids the entire time and then it was over. It went pretty fast. Maybe a flinch or two in sensitive areas, but nothing like I expected or feared. She is very thorough. The place is spotless and very well organized. I will definitely visit again.

Best waxing and customer service in town. I've been going to Thumb for eyebrow waxing for years and she is absolutely the best. Her technique is like no other.

You cannot go wrong here. They offer a variety of waxing services. I have had appointments with Ms Thumb and Ms Sherry and they never disappoint. They are very professional and friendly. They will certainly make an experience which can sometimes be uncomfortable (waxing anything) a calm, safe and quick. They go above and beyond in their hygiene practices. I love this place.

Today I went for a wax for the first time in at least a year. I was nervous to the brink of hysterics when I walked in. All I could do was remember back to my first wax (at a different location) and how painful it was. Anyway, upon arriving I called to let the desk know I was outside. I was greeted by Brandi who as it turns out would also be my attendant for this appointment. Not only was my reception warm and calming, but Brandi talked me thru the process, set me at ease and made me feel completely comfortable. I don't know what magic she conjured, but the whole session had minimal discomfort. Maybe it was the great conversation l, I don't know. What I do know is, I'll be back! Prices were reasonable, masks were worn, and parking wasn't a nightmare! All a huge plus!

I've been meaning to review but I love Thumb! She was the first person to wax me years ago and I am a regular customer to this day. The salon is absolutely clean! Post COVID, hand washing, masks, and temp checks happen every time you visit. Only one guest allowed in the building at a time! She takes her time and does a great job! She's flexible and can almost always accommodate your schedule.

I think this wax changed my life. I'm not exaggerating ladies (and gentlemen). I've had Brazilians before but this wax right here? When I say that there is not a hair in sight...or out of sight...thorough is an understatement. Hard wax, soft wax, tweezers...all of it hunny. It was my first time there and I saw Thumb herself - she is truly gifted. Stop reading this and go give her a call to book your wax - you won't regret it!

I thought about a Brazilian for MONTHS before actually committing to call. A friend referred me and said she loved it, reviews were great so why not?! I booked my appointment (love that you basically say when you can come and they do their best to accommodate you), no issues getting a time. I took my acetaminophen and ibuprofen (ok maybe a little something for the anxiety too) and headed out.

Pulling into the parking lot, it's easy to think "oh absolutely not". The building is unassuming, strip mall-esque. Walking in, not filled with the glitz and glam of spas I've been to (why did I think that was important??) . But the person at the front desk had an easy smile and relaxed manner, so I wrote my name down and waited, palms sweating, for my name to be called.

I won't gore out the details of the process, if you've had a full Brazilian you know, and if you haven't, google some articles so you're prepared. Without any previous experience, I found the appointment to be polite, professional, and (blessedly) quicker than I imagined it would be. I was definitely coming back!

I've been going for about a year and a half now (insert lecture about not going frequently enough), and at first I got a different person with each appointment. I finally started just asking for Thumb, I feel like if I'm gonna get up close and personal it may as well be with the same eyes above the mask each time.

I haven't tried any of the other waxing services they offer but I'm sure they're amazing. The prices seem reasonable to me, work is efficient and professional, rooms are clean and comfy, and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend giving them a go!

Google says their open, their website says walk-ins welcome (I don't know why Yelp says appointment only). I'm here but no ones around and they weren't answering the phone earlier. A sign on the door or a voicemail stating you won't be open during posted hours would be nice.
