Mice. There are mice in my room, mostly like coming my the drain for the hot water heater that is in my closet. When I moved in the room, there was mice bait already in place. So, they know that they're a problem with mice. The new management has done very little to try to find a solution. Maintenance tells me there is no solution. The old management staff did even less. Maintenance will not even remove the dead mice. They told me I had to do it. They will not let me out of my lease even though they have a responsibility to not uninhabitable and unhealthy property for their tenants.

Regina - we do apologize for any frustration or impetus on your experience at The Rowan, especially when it comes to pests. We must provide our account of this scenario as it does not currently include details that are paramount to this investigation. Our General Manager Kia recalls that you placed two work orders for what you believed are mice scratching at the door. Pest control has walked the unit twice in an effort to find any droppings or signs of activity in the unit to no avail. We then requested that you record a video and show it to us the next day so we can try to hear/see what you're experiencing, but you told us that the noise/activity ceases whenever your camera is out. We then put in a work order for you with our pest control team to check the drain which also came back inconclusive. With the results we currently have, we cannot take further action until activity is found/proven to be persisting. Please work with Kia or any member of our team to help us eliminate this issue for you should it continue to bother you at night or during the day. Thank you, Regina.

The office staff is amazing! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Maintenance is quick to make repairs. Not to mention the renovations are beautiful.

If I could give zero stars I would. I don't know where to even start, between bug problems, being told our dryer was ok to use then it catching on fire, ac being out I don't even know how many times, shootings, the exit gate being broken, and not not being allowed guests? The fact this place is still up and running BLOWS my mind. Save your sanity and don't live here.

Awful. Do not answer phone calls. Me and a friend were looking to live here as they offer short term leases and I am graduating and she is going abroad. We went and spoke with multiple people about it and never were we told that they only do 5 short term leases per term. We were both told that there were plenty available so we had no rush to sign. When we finally went to sign, we were told that there were no more leases available. This is the first time we ever heard that they had limited availability. This completely ruined our chances of finding anywhere as it was our only option.

My daughter moved there during her soph year in colleg. I have nothing positive to say. AC was broken was told to purchase her a fan until maintenance can get there. Last year she renewed her leased was promised Apple EarPods for renewin no EarPods and she is no longer a resident. Got a email on 07/28/22 regarding fees due since she moved out. I replied and as of today no reply. They want to charge her for ceiling fan not clean, housekeeping bathroom which every time she cleaned the tub there was always some black stuff coming out of the water area so it seem like it wasn't clean.
My other issue is I was listing my name as a guarantor for a friend of my daughter and it wasn't approved but they still have my name connected to this. I have called and gone by there nothing has been done.
You have college students managing the office and they are not knowledgeable.

When it rained yesterday afternoon, all the lights in my room were flashing all the time, and finally the power went out for a short time. Then the internet was gone, and there was no internet until this morning. Moreover, after every power outage, my room takes several hours, and now it even takes a day to get online. Fortunately, it's summer vacation, but the lack of internet is very disturbing to me.

Bad management and struggle to answer phones and questions. Maintenance takes forever to come and will come any time of day without telling you when or doing the full job.

I have been waiting to review this complex because I kept wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt. I've lived here almost 2 month. When I first moved in, my apartment was absolutely not ready to move in. I didn't have smoke detectors, the deck was rotting, the kitchen floor was so dirty, my feet turned black just walking across the kitchen, there were holes in the drywall, the carpet was filthy, the dryer needed to be replaced, the kitchen sink and disposal needed to be replaced, and the front door frame was smashed in and was and still is rotting. Now, most of that was in the past tense, implying it's been remedied. However, I had to continuously ride management just to get this stuff fixed. Nothing has been easy. It took me a month of complaining and following up just to get them to clean the carpets (and by the way; they told me it would be fixed within 5 days of moving in and it took over a month). They still haven't come to finish painting the drywall repair. But emailing the managers is decently effective and rent is pretty cheap, so they get average (3 stars).

I woke up one morning and notice my car was missing and I thought somebody stole it, they had towed my car and didn't leave a note or anything. Maintenance is terrible been trying to get them to fix my back door for years. Pay to much in rent to be going through this,

Deanna, we're very sorry to hear about the situation concerning your car being towed. As a reminder to residents, The Rowan started towing at our community beginning April 2nd, and gave notice to the community in March to give time for residents to come to the clubhouse and receive their decal. We also designated visitors parking spaces for guests in each section of our buildings to help facilitate that aspect of resident life. We did a search for a "Deanna L" and could not find one in our resident portal - our GM Terence would love to connect with you in-office so we can look into your back door issue. Stop in this weekend or any time next week during office hours and we can help from there. Thank you, Deanna.

First of all, when I first moved in the units were not cleaned prior to move in. The carpets were not replaced nor cleaned. We were placed with a room mate who already was dirty, had bugs & her dog had hair all over the house which initially we had to beg to be moved to another unit. Get moved into another unit the roaches continued, the maintenance staff just barges in the home with their keys instead of knocking or coming back if no one is home. The staff in the office is horrible, I completely see why some of them have quit. The supervisors are ridiculous, rude, & have a know it all attitude which is why they cannot keep residents. The assistant leasing manager is very rude and has nothing but mouth and hasn't even been there two months but thinks she knows everything in the world. Oh and don't get me started on Ms. Leak and her attitude, these people are ridiculous & money hungry. The head supervisor just got there and she don't ever know what the hell going on when you ask they ass something. They claimed in our leases all bills were included in rent but now we are being charged for utilities for these piece of shit ass apartments. Save your time and find a regular apartment hell you can even go next door to Red Point. Don't get me started on the Hell Cat Crew that comes through the neighborhood and race through. Oh and the multiple shooting in the airs. Or the fact that it's a gated community and people been running through and breaking the gates every week.
