Oh my. What can be said. BEST burger around. Sure the inside is outdated, but the burger isn't! The burger is awesome! So well done. Not a premade patty. Pure beef. Go get you one!

Like it says it's a shack, the food is great. I love the fish plate and shrimp sandwiches.

Best burgers in town. Easy access and friendly staff! Great choice for a pickup on a busy day

Food was overpriced and nasty. I got a meaty nacho and I got unseasoned meat with cold cheese. The fish is unseasoned & overpriced. The ice cream makes you shit like you got the stomach flu. The chicken salad is just hard nasty chicken strips on top of lettuce. The chicken strips are so nasty now I couldn't finish my plate. No ma'am it's a hard no for me.

Great stop along 15 as we head from Baton Rouge to Little Rock! Cheeseburgers are homemade and amazing!!!

Stopped in on the way out of town and got a fish plate and salad. The Fish was great but the Ranch dressing makes me so happy! Salads are my favorite!

I practically grew up at this restaurant, and going to eat here when I am home is a requirement. Some of my fondest memories took place here in its various incarnations. I remember where it was in a tiny building with some outdoor dining and a walk up window when I was a child, before it moved when the new highway came through.
It's had different owners but had consistently delicious burgers, Cajun fries, and cherry sundaes. I live in a town now with high end burgers at a variety of super nice dining establishments and I would confidently pit them against the snack shack, who has them for half the price, too.
When you're ringing out, be sure to donate your change to the fire department, and look at the community board to see what's going on in my tiny home town.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katie H.Ruston, LA63112Dec 30, 2017
Service with a smile! Amazing burgers and Chocolate malts. This has been a favorite spot of mine since I was a kid. Don't expect a fancy pants atmosphere. It's old been there forever and has the best "malt shop" food I've ever had.

This was a nice surprise while passing through little Sicily Island. Classic country restaurant similar to those I grew up with. The cheeseburger is fantastic! There's a tv on in the dining area so entertainment is there. Staff was the best part of the experience! Very friendly and gave recommendations on what was good. Had a smile on their faces and actually looked like they wanted to be there, making for a good customer service experience! Location is another plus: it's right on 425 past the gas station going north. So either way, you'll pass by there and it's not difficult to find. This is a fantastic all-American gem hidden up in NE Louisiana. I highly recommend stopping here if you're looking for a place to eat in Sicily Island!
