The Roost Sports Bar & Cafe

The ambiance was great to hang out in. The food isn't great, though, so we haven't really been back in over a year. We tried it before the revamp and weren't fans of the food. Decided to give it another try after the revamp and I wasn't very impressed, however, my husband was good with the fish tacos. Service was alright.

Great drinks and always good food and no complaints about the service! Wife and my fav close to home place to eat!

Umm, Hard Pass. Fly in our Old Fashioned, a less than mediocre server with next to no ability to service customers. Overcooked Potato Skins, undercooked fries and goop for Chili .

We went to the Roost for Friday fish fry. They used to be a lightly breaded cod, but they have changed it to a very heavy beer-battered fish. They no longer have tator tots, which was disappointing. We used to love it, but they have changed things, and we won't eat there anymore. It did seem packed, so lots of people seemed to be enjoying it.

Came for my birthday dinner. Ordered a Coors Lite and Blue Moon beer for my wife and I. We each got the Copa Chicken Wrap, mine with fries and hers with side salad. Lots of TV screens to keep you entertained, which was good because it took FOREVER to get our food (about 40 minutes). Waitress was very attentive, keeping our beers coming. Food was excellent, and the wraps were very tasty. Loved the Duke and Johnny Cash decorations on the wall too.

Wow.. we attempted to go here because we heard good things about it. Never again. Sign when you walk in reads "seat yourself" so we had. This was a Monday evening and the place was almost empty, just a few couples and one larger group. My family sat down and waited and waited. We were not even greeted.. yet we got to watch as what I assume was one of the teenage male servers air hump a coworker from behind at the servers station... as if that wasn't bad enough the smell of sewage/dirty grease trap immediately hits you when you walk in. The place had a foul odor.. I can't even call it service, because the place lacked it entirely. Everyone else who was seated looked confused as well, wondering where and who to even talk to. We sat and waited 20 minutes without even a simple "hello", water or even a damn menu. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Hopefully the owner witnessed what we had and makes some changes.

We got there an hour and 5 minutes before their "supposed" closing time. We were told we had 4 minutes to order food by 2 rude servers. We ordered quickly and then were told " last call" before 10:15. Why advertise that you close at 11 if you can't get any food after 10 or drinks after 10: 15??? It's really sad since this business comes up as a recommended sports bar on Google when you're leaving the casino. We won't go back! Incredibly rude staff and poor service!

My layover flight was delayed 9 hours, so I called up my mom who lives in Maricopa. She picked me up from the airport and I was pretty hungry already. We picked up her husband and off to The Roost.

When you walk in you notice tables and TV's. A few high tops and a bunch of tables. The place was busy but not packed. We were seated pretty quickly by the hostess. That was the last positive of the night.

From the time we sat down it was 10 minutes for a drink order and another 20 minutes before the server showed up to take our orders. 30 min in and just got our order placed. I wasn't driving and my mom swears this is the place to go. At this point about half of the restaurant had cleared out. My coke was empty any his beer was too. After roughly 25 minutes our food came out. Our drinks were still empty. Our server, whose face couldn't get through a metal detector, finally came over to refill our drinks.

The burger was ok. Good seasoning but a basic burger. Nothing about the meal is really worth noting.

The manager finally came over and refilled our drinks one last time.

Could have been a bad night but I don't think I'll give them another shot.

We have been waiting for an hour for our wings and our potato skins. People are busy with their daily lives it's so disrespectful to us. Will not be back. Left when we received cold food and horrible wings.. I'm beyond upset . The place served us cold potato's... it's a dark sad looking bar... doesn't make any sense. 0 stars if possible

Arrived at the roost, 3 servers hangin out socializing and 1 server bustin his butt to get stuff done. Seated ourselves and sat for 20+ minutes until the only server that was doing anything came and asked for our drink order. He then came promptly with our drinks and took our food order. I just moved to Maricopa and man I gotta tell you the food scene is horrible here, service is non existent. I feel buyers remorse every time I go out to eat because I have such horrible experiences here. Going into a place we're 99% of the staff avoid you like the plague is not a good feeling. If you read your reviews I hope you guys take care of Jimmy cuz he is one of the best waiters you have.
