Amazing food, great service, we will be back! Everything we got was delicious, the staff was really kind and friendly, we had a great time. We dined in and loved it, but clearly they're also doing the takeout game right, they had a ton of orders efficiently lined up for pick up.
We had the pad Thai, panang curry, red curry, and the eggplant crusher.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 31, 2023
My daughter found 2 hairs in her dish, the server was very apologetic (remade it)and told me I'd get a "discount" which I took to mean she'd comp the dish but she only took off $6. (BTW, hair was dark, daughter's hair is light.)
Aside from that the curry sauce was super watery & lacked flavor. We were also greeted by an adorable girl (maybe around 7 years?) and she actually tried to give us plates & serve some food. I was pretty grossed out because I had noticed she had just been eating prior and didn't even wash her hands, yikes.
(My parents would have never had us touch plates & food at their restaurant when we were under 15 yrs by the way.)
What really didn't sit well with me especially was the bathroom. Looks like there was a leak of some sort because there was a puddle in the corner and it did NOT look clean.
Lastly, they charge you extra for using a credit card. I like to give good reviews but there were so many red flags at this business.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 24, 2023Updated review
Been a while since we dined in here. Was grateful they were open on T-G. We made reservations just in case. Friendly service. Be patient as food is made to order. It is hot and fresh. Make sure you know your spice tolerance. Our food selections curries, entrees, pad thai and fresh rolls all tasted so good. The eggplant is awesome. Not soggy and plentiful. Many items come with jasmine rice however some don't and there is ala cart offerings like coconut rice.
The tea is fabulous. There is no spirits. So good and filling. The do offer DD and Uber eats. Menu is being redone so prices are blacked out and they will present you a check for your review prior to receiving your order.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Feb 15, 2017Previous reviewIn a strip center across from Folsom Lake Bowl is a great new Thai restaurant. Upon entering greeted warmly by "Sink". He is a member of the family owned restaurant. Cute place. Several tables filled and it smelled good! Sink was our waiter and told us about the menu. Started off with Fresh spring rolls. Good wrapping and colorful. Prawns inside. The peanut sauce was so fresh and had a nice spicy tang. Great consistency. Ordered cucumber salad. Diced cucumber and red onion and jalapeño. Marinated in a tangy sweet and spicy sauce.
They serve beer and ordered a Corona and had hot ginger tea. Very soothing.
The entrees were Duck Curry and Red Curry with Chicken. Both came hot to the table. The veggies in each were different other than bell peppers.
The red curry had great egg plant. Yum! A little spinach and jalapeño as I requested spicy. The curry was amazing. So flavorful. The duck was good! The curry was red. Pineapple, tomato, spinach, bell pepper, jalapeño (asked for spicy). Rice options both white and brown. We had both. Can't wait to come back and explore more! This is real Thai! Cooked to order. Be patient. It is worth it!Nov 13, 2015Previous reviewIn a strip center across from Folsom Lake Bowl is a great new Thai restaurant. Upon entering greeted warmly by "Sink". Great Thai food. Great for take out. Generous portions except this time there was enough pad thai for two. It used to be enough for 4 . This was disappointing as this was a favorite restaurant.
Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 28, 2020Previous reviewEnjoyed a great dinner here. Beef panang Curry, and chef entree specialty of fried catfish which was perfectly prepared, crunchy yet tender in a gingery soy light sauce topped with fried basil on top, perfect!! Panang beef was mild and was just the right amount of spice for us with just a pinch of heat that lingered but didn't threaten. Service was simple. The decorations are looking a bit worn from the years, could use a lift to appreciate their customers. Restrooms need a lot of TLC.
Food can't be beat!! Recommend.Sep 17, 2019Previous reviewBest thai food!! Authentic and generous with portion size. The Penang curry is excellent, pad Thai is very good and service is always top notch. Lunch specials are priced right also!!! Highly recommend.

Good Thai food.
Ambiance is pretty low key with older furniture and walls spray painted with stencil text.
Staff makes you feel like you are family.
Satay was the bomb and so were the fried shrimps. The spice level I asked (number 3) was a bit inconsistent with the fried rice and Tom yum soup. Tom Yum was more sour than I like so they redid it upon request.
They were out of Beef but I definitely want to go back to try their famous Crying Tiger Beef.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Danna L.Elk Grove, CA12611Apr 6, 2024
My daughter and I went to The River Thai Cuisine restaurant, and we both walked away, saying how yummy it was! There were just the two of us eating in, but a constant flow for takeout. I had the yellow curry, which was very flavorful and delicious! She had the drunken noodles, and it was also very flavorful and delicious! we tried the spring rolls which we are both disappointed, not much to them and not much flavor. I will definitely be going back and taking my husband.

We went for Sunday lunch and were seated immediately. We got our food after about 10 minutes of ordering and the server was friendly.
- pad thai with chicken: good firm yet chewy noodle (not overcooked) and good taste. Lots of chicken pieces. The tamarind & fish sauce aroma were weak for my liking bit it was still a good pad thai.
- panang curry with tofu: the curry was flavorful and creamy & delicious but it was a bit too watery for me. The tofu pieces were big and generous.
Overall, good thai food in the area and good service.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Shelby M.Elk Grove, CA14038Mar 23, 2024
Called & ordered, got it in 15 minutes. The pad se ew was the perfect spice, flavor was good. The yellow curry came with free rice & was piping hot. Very yummy! Inside looked small business family owned. Would get again

Located in a strip mall next to Gold Miners, the inside has nice tables and chairs but there was nothing special about the decor. My only complaint is the room temp. It has been a rainy day and the room was quite colder - even colder than the outside temp! Had to keep my coat on and was still cold; however, the food was so delicious that it was worth sitting in the cold to eat. ( This detail knocked off a star from an otherwise perfect meal. Checking in also netted me a Thai iced coffee and a refill.
Now to the food. I ordered the fried wontons with a chicken filling. They were the crispiest, thinnest wontons I've ever had! The filling could have used a smidge of salt or soy, the dipping sauce made up for that lack and I ate every one of them!
My entree was a fried catfish with curry sauce - bone in. It was very tasty with perfectly crispy fried skin. The bones were quite manageable. I am one who feels like a pariah for loving "bone in and with skin" meats and fishes. I ordered mild, but even that was a bit hot for my standards. However, eating it with Jasmine rice cut the heat and made it manageable and allowed me to enjoy the pure flavors. The portion was large and I could only eat half. (Looking forward to the leftovers.)
As side I ordered Jasmine rice and cucumber salad. The rice was cooked perfectly and the cucumber with a bit of red onion and in a sweet vinaigrette was also a great accompaniment to the spicy fish.
All-in-all, I am very pleased that I chose to come here and, for me, this will be my "go to" place for Thai food. It is a bit of a distance from my home but worth the time because I know what to expect.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Richard G.Shingle Springs, CA030Mar 13, 2024
Probably the Worst Pad Thai... or just Food from any Restaurant I have ever Gotten..
Do not Order To Go from this Restaurant...
Just Plain Awful... Over priced ... Small portion..
Quality of ingredients Questionable...
If it wasn't so far away I would take it Back...
I still may ... Another day... Can't Eat it ...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
