The Racquet & Tennis Club

This place is ritzy. It is very old world, old money New York. I went for a special event, so I'm not familiar with the normal club rules. I was told off multiple times for using my phone in the lobby, just texting, not even on a call. I didn't realize that was like, a rule, until that happened. They have little telephone booths that you can go into if you want to use your phone. The food is good but nothing extraordinary. They use real silver silverware, which is so fancy and pretty cool. Anyway, it is quite an experience. As a 20 something, I don't think I'd hang out here on the regular, as it seemed like it was more for folks in their Golden Years, but it is a lovely venue.

Partied there last night. Make no mistake - this place has been servicing the monied cream of American society forever.

Very impressive. Amazing service --- to the point when you get tired of turning away gorgeous appetizers from eager servers.

I would urge people to go take a look for themselves, but I'm fairly sure it's next to impossible to get in.

I've actually been in the building for a few benefit parties. It's really beautiful inside.

One of the greatest clubs in America, with superb facilities for squash, rackets and court tennis.
