Nice coffee shop with very friendly barista. I chatted with her while my one daughter played the piano. We were the only people in there on a rainy Friday afternoon. We hung out for about an hour and had a carafe of pressed coffee. Cute place which offers games, cartoons and cereal on Saturdays and some music nights.

Everything you could want in a Tolkien/Lewis themed coffee shop. Wonderful light fare and baked goods compliment a full coffee bar menu. Lots of seating, a performance space, and books! It's my crash spot of choice in this city.

A cute hole-in-the-wall bookstore/cafe that focuses on whimsical themes by authors like Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and such. I like the cozy vibe - curling up in here on a winter day with tea and a book is great
My one suggestion would be to put in more funky overstuffed armchairs and whimsical couches to go with the fantasy theme, plus it would add more comfortable nooks for people to hang out in.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sabrina F.Reading, PA17765126Sep 29, 2018
I've been here several time. Busy or slow it's always great for a warm pick me up. I got a Sweater Weather latte this time and it was oh sooo good! They were having a Harry Potter night with Tricia and scavenger hunt and everything- not they I participated, but it seemed like a fun thing to do! They sort of are "underground" b/c you don't see them from the street but there are to entrances one off the courtyard of the square of shops off S Queen St. and also one in the back on N. Market St. So stay or go either way stop in for a hot or cold beverage and they also serve a limited food menu as well just in case you need a bite. We never come to Lancaster city without stopping in here.

Really good funky coffee and tea shop in Lancaster. My daughter really liked the artwork, especially the Chronicles of Narnia painting on one of the walls. Proprietor was friendly and coffee was excellent. Well come back when we return here.

The coffee and the dessert was delicious and I loved the little book section. I played the piano and the staff was very chill with me doing that. Relaxed atmosphere. Almost too relaxed when it came to the speed of service, that was my only hang up. If they were quicker, they'd be super popular with the locals. We were just visiting town and had a good experience! Thanks!

This intimate, cozy space is a unique addition to downtown Lancaster, as it invites guests to linger longer than the other options in the area. It's a relaxing space throughout the day. They have books, games, and plenty of tables to either plug in or sit down with a board game (I've done both). You'll be promptly greeted by friendly staff and there's almost always a place to sit.
However, it can be hard to be both unique and professional, I've found. While I haven't seen any outrageous incidents, I've consistently had slower service, slightly wrong orders, and employee antics that got a little annoying. Despite this, I've enjoyed mostly everything I've had to eat and drink here. Most fare, if not all, is homemade, which is great, but I don't get a sense that there is a lot of quality control. Because of that, I hesitate to go beyond 4 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark Z.Philadelphia, PA15253947Mar 28, 2016
I have a thing for quirky city coffee shops, and this is one of them. As soon as my girlfriend and I walked in we were greeted with friendly "hellos" from the baristas. I just really wanted an iced coffee and enjoyed it very much. It was nice and strong, especially since I have been walking around most of the day. It was also nice to have a seat and play a fun game of Battleship with my girlfriend. They also have many of board games to play. They also sell books there for cheap prices and they have various genres.
Also, big shout out to the barista who wore the Green Lantern shirt. You sir were a funny guy and very welcoming to us. This is a place that makes me wish I lived in Lancaster City. I hope to return for maybe for an event!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Tonya W.Lancaster, PA22294Apr 9, 2019
Visited The Rabbit & The Dragonfly this past weekend for the Harry Potter Party. This place is cool, I see a lot of potential there! The cafe/bar ordering area is really cool looking. The exposed brick and stone throughout is just beautiful! The hardwood floors are as equally beautiful! Although the event was a bit unorganized the intent & effort was good. I have just a few suggestions for the next Harry Potter Party which I see a need for another because it was pretty full. Play some Harry Potter theme music in the background at all times. Have one of the Harry Potter movies playing on the big screen TVs. Have some Harry Potter theme merchandise there to sell. I had my niece and would have bought her something to take home to remember the event. We had the waffle & some French fries and Harry Potter theme drinks and loved them! Keep up the good work!

An unbelievable experience. Went in for a sandwich and some coffee and came out as if we had been at a family reunion of sorts.
Met and spoke with Dave and just sat, relaxed listened to some light piano, and thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. Every person there from the staff to the regular customers engaged in conversation with us. Loved my time with the pup Onyx.
Thank you Dave for the awesome time. We will most absolutely be back.
BTW, try the grilled cheese sandwich. Out of this world.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
