The People's Republik

I only came in for a beer after being told to check this place out.  It was quite busy on a Thursday. A slightly older crowd, but very convivial.

Several dart board areas, lots of bar seating, a nice kitchen menu of cheap eats, and a very extensive beer selection.  I would definitely come back for more beer, try the rosemary fries, and perhaps more.

Horrible drinks for absurd prices.

I came on a Friday night. The location and decor are nice, but the drinks are insane.
I first ordered a draft Hefeweizen ($7) that tasted suspiciously like a bud light. I then tried ordering a gimlet cocktail ($11), which turned out to be basically 2 oz of lime juice.

The staff seemed nice enough, but the drink price vs quality here is so skewed that the entire experience felt insulting.

I really like this place no matter what's on their menu. gives me a death proof vibe when the food comes from the back but i watch too many movies

Great dive bar! I went here for a social gathering for work. Our office is near central and it was a quick walk.

The space is very open so it's good for crowds. They have a great drink list that includes various cocktails and beers.

We ordered french fries (regular, sweet potato and seasoned) and they were all fantastic! The seasoned fries came with a delicious aioli sauce.

Interesting place. Friendly bartender and good choices of beverages. The food on the other hand was not something I would put myself through again. I ordered the nachos and while they could feed several people, they were just not good. Many of the toppings were cold and while piled high it still lacked flavor.

Great little dive in Cambridge. They now accept
cash AND cards. Great place to play darts. They have gluten free beer, french fries, and flautas. Hallelujah. Great selection of beers and they even have wine in a can. Lots of seating available at the bar and pub tables. It kicks off on Friday and Saturday nights. Good mix of people and relaxed atmosphere.

Eh? What's that, comrade? You vant hear story about the Republik? Da, ve can do zat, but first, how about a vodka? No? Only craft IPAs? Da, vill do, vill do.

Zee, back in motherland, ve have no hip wooden bars or fancypants dart boards.  Ze Soviet signs, da, ve have dat.  Also unhappy barman with beard, ve have dat.  But, vhen we get ze burger, it just meat on plate, sometime cooked.  Not zis bourgeois spicy sauce and pickle.  And French fries, pah! In motherland, ve get one potato on birthday.  Ve cherish that potato.

Da, is good bar.  Except on Saturdays.  Remind me of gulag.

This place is almost impossible to miss because of the huge communist themed paintings on its outside wall. But seriously this dive bar has probably one of the best collections of beer in Cambridge. I was very impressed by the beer they had on tap every time I came here, and the food was good too.

Fast service, reasonable drink prices, and a great hang. Will be back whenever I'm in Central Square!

My husband and I love the juicy burger here! Their fries are pretty amazing too! 4 stars only cuz it's pretty loud in there - especially on the weekends.
