About the Business
Established in 1877. The Palace is the oldest frontier saloon in Arizona, and the most well-known and historic restaurant and bar in the state. It is the crown jewel of Prescott's Historic Whiskey Row. Past patrons include Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, Doc Holliday and Big Nose Kate. Virgil was Prescott's Town Constable. Originally built in 1877, the Palace was destroyed in the Whiskey Row fire of 1900. Patrons moved the bar and lower back bar across the street and drank and watched Whiskey Row burn to the ground. It was rebuilt in 1901. Today, The Palace maintains its history, grandeur and old wild west atmosphere, and attracts visitors from all over the world. We offer great food, drinks, music and a monthly dinner theatre in an authentic wild west atmosphere. The staff and many of the locals are in period dress, and we have many regulars who are very knowledgeable about the area's history and love to share that with others. We have an extensive menu and the best whiskey selection on Whiskey Row

Best Dang Bar and Chill in a modern day Western Atmosphere with the Touch of The Historic Palace Saloon. You can not go wrong. Service is amazing with staff that love to Serve and recommend. The owners are Down to Earth salt of the earth. Shout out to Madame Martha.
Grumpy Sheriff secretly has a heart of Gold. Nonsense is not allowed here. :))
My favorite of all time is the pancetta and sprouts. Love my wings crispy. Cooks know what they are doing when it comes to signature dishes. Such as a Beast Burger. Really good Burgers cooked just the way you like it. Competent Chefs that care what they are preparing.
Servers dress the Part and it each matches their personality's. Deanna and Christine best Servers but such knowledge these lovely Ladies have about the Palace Past is phenomenal.
The Bar of The Town
Expert Bartender Extraordinaire Nick, will never leave you disappointed. Pick your Poison. If you're a whiskey connoisseur you're in luck.

Really cool atmosphere of the old time west cowboy days. Walls are covered in old photos of cowboys like John Wayne and Doc Holliday. Has a good bit of history too. The actual bar is original to the palace, was carried across the street when the bar caught on fire long ago. Famous cowboys sat at the exact same bar.
If you are in Prescott you should give it a try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 13, 2024
Must try:
Whiskey sour with the Madame Martha Whiskey. The waitress recommended, they make their own simple syrup and the whiskey is made locally for this bar. Best whiskey sour we have ever had!!
The corn chowder. It has potatoes, corn and magic. Seasoned well, large bowl and best corn chowder I have ever had. My father has soup everywhere we visit and is a bit of a critic, he was in love.
The green beans were soaked in maybe teriyaki, slightly sweet and wonderful.
The fish and chips- both men loved the fish. Fries were mediocre.

Was not a fan of the old fashioned drink here.
The mushrooms in a skillet were slightly bitter, not for me.
I love Cole slaw, but their coleslaw is yogurt based. So weird to my pallete, not mayo or vinegar like usually Cole slaw.
Murals and memorabilia were pretty cool. They still have the original bar even though there was a fire in the early 1900s. The legend has it that all of the towns people ran and carried the large bar out to save it.
The Palace Restaurant and Saloon is both the oldest business and oldest bar operating in the state of Arizona, United States. Located on historic Whiskey Row in Prescott, the saloon was opened in 1877, and rebuilt in 1901 after a disastrous fire swept the district in 1900. It is considered one of the most historic bars in the state.
All around solid choice for lunch or dinner.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 9, 20241 check-in
Oldest saloon on the streets. This place was great. The feeling of the Wild West is here for sure. Being in the same spot of the outlaws and sheriffs of gun slangin is a great opportunity to not miss! Bartender was great and knows her shit. The town itself of Prescott, pronounced PressKit as I was told, is very cool too. The original rodeo was here as well. The atmosphere here is welcoming and everyone in the town are nice. Food is great all around the area as I did not eat here but worth going in for a drank.

Do not miss this place in Prescott on Whiskey Row. The atmosphere is Old West with lots of memorabilia. The food was outstanding--pork sliders, chicken sandwich and prime rib sandwich. The wait staff. Dressed in Old West attire were friendly and helpful. An overall great experience.

Want to step back in time? Then it's the Palace you need to step into! The food is great! Ambiance perfect. Sit at the bar for a drink and you can hear the jingle of spurs walking through the swinging doors. The bartender has a generous hand and the drinks are perfect. Doesn't matter if you want yo have a hearty meal or just sit at the bar and "live" .. the Palace is great!

This place was one of the pit stops on mine and my boyfriends trip to Arizona and we were impressed! This place gives off a very old "Western" vibe and it's a restaurant that used to be a hoo*** house LOL. The inside is really neat and you can truly feel the history in there. I didn't get any good quality photos of the food (they were blurry) but I did get a couple of photos of the inside, menu and my drink glass! They definitely know how to make a drink there, that's for sure.
I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was really good! It was juicy, the bun was warm and extremely soft and the bacon was CRISP. It's hard to find good, crispy bacon on a burger. I also had coleslaw. That was a little too warm for my liking, but tasted good. We also had some onion rings and those were some of the best onion rings I've ever had. They were thick but the breading wasn't super crunchy/hard to bite down on. They were perfect.
The service was really good! Everyone was really welcoming, kind and all around had good energy. Our waitress was really awesome, attentive and she was just very knowledgeable, which I love.
The only reason I didn't give this place 5-stars is because it was pretty expensive for what we got. I understand inflation is a little crazy right now but for the food and the 1-alcoholic beverage and 1-regular beverage, it was a lot. I'm not going to post what the total bill was, but it was a little outrageous. Other than that, great experience! Highly recommend, especially if you like history.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Maria G.Zephyr Cove, NV06139Mar 1, 2024
Such a fun place with lots of history! Waitresses and waiter's dress in saloon attire. Great service and everyone was very personable! Happy hour street tacos were great!
