A great place to take kids! I came with two kids and another adult and we all had a great time. There are plenty of options to choose from and the prices seem reasonable. Plus, they have Ronnie's slush, a nice treat for the end of the day!

Staff here is very welcoming and friendly. Explained the process thoroughly.

The setup is very similar to other pottery painting places I've been to. They even had pre-made paint palettes as an option.

They also have some pottery pieces and things you can paint and take home the same day, but you can't eat from those items as they don't go thru the kiln. There wasn't a ton of variety in the pottery pieces to choose from, and the prices were a bit high compared to what I've seen in the past.

We enjoyed our time. There were only two other parties there so it was very quiet and peaceful.

Tip: if you use GPS for directions, it'll point you to the building across from theirs. They're right across from the Russian School. Their sign is a bit hidden. They do have a free parking lot.

We came here with a last minute reservation on a weekend with five people and were able to easily find a spot to start painting. They have a plethora of ceramic pieces to choose from, including vases, bowls, mugs, cute decor, pitchers, ring stands, sushi plates....so many to choose from! Prices ranged from around $20 to $60 from what I saw, which I think is a good spread. We were given a tutorial to applying and choosing the paint and were able to quickly get to painting. The staff was soo friendly and helpful during our entire time here. They had two birthday parties going on while we were there and they still were able to accommodate us well. We had a great time listening to their music and painting peacefully until their shop closed. They even let us stay a little later after closing time until one of their parties finished up! We picked our pieces up after a week and they looked great, I would highly recommend!

This place is great! Me and my friend had a blast! There are so many choices for painting pottery. Some things include bowls, plates, mugs, vases, jewelry holders, trays etc. They also have plaster available for painting (can go home that day as opposed to pottery which is about 10 days,) candle making materials and mosaics as an activity option. The pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe! It is slightly expensive, but worth it since it can be washed etc. There are plenty of paint choices as well as tape, tape stickers, stencils, etc available to help you with the design. There is no time limit, and the staff are super helpful and kind. The owner is a very nice lady, and was so fun! It was very busy, but they take walk ins! for the parking lot, use the address 11 Laurel Ave in Wellesley. My friend got lost with the regular address. I highly recommending going- there are things for all ages there! In addition, there were birthday parties there as well if you are interested in that. I can't wait to pick up our pieces and paint something else!

My friend and I were looking for a pottery painting place and we're so glad we found this place in Wellesley. There is a smaller parking lot that has a different address (11 Laurel Ave) if you're driving to get here. I made a reservation online, but when we came the place was so big and there were so many open tables that we really didn't need to. There was a birthday party on one side of the place, while the other side was open up for others to paint and create a masterpiece. Besides pottery painting, they offer plaster figurines, mosaics, slime, and candle making.

My friend and I opted to do our pottery painting and spent approximately 3 hours here. I painted a dinosaur mug while my friend painted a plant pot. The staff brought over a variety of paint brushes and water and let us know where the paint colors are. They have a great selection of paint colors and have each paint color sample for 1, 2, or 3 shades after the pottery has been glazed. They also have tiny squirt bottles for intricate lines as well as tape and stencils to make your own pattern. There is no studio fee, so the price of pottery is a bit pricier than other places. There is a large selection of things to paint from bowls, plates, mugs, figurines, and more. After you finish painting you put your pottery on the cart to get glazed. You return in about a week's time to pick-up your glazed creation.

I had a wonderful experience painting a Christmas pottery wreath for my mom. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and variety of pottery available to choose from with plenty of paint colors to help bring your piece to life. The owners were extremely helpful and nice. We made a reservation in advance, but the place fills up quickly for walk in's, especially with younger kids.

What a wonderful place! My friend and I took our four year old grandsons to The Painting Place yesterday, and we all had a blast! The owner was very welcoming, and so good with kids. She gave us an overview of the projects that are available to do, and the kids couldn't make up their minds - so many great things to choose from. They both decided to do snow globes, and we were set up with smocks, paint, brushes, everything we needed. I want to commend the owner again on how great she was with the kids - great instruction, very patient, and extremely friendly. The kids were both very excited about doing the projects and the final result. And the results are things that will become keepsakes of what they made when they were four. There are so many beautiful items on display showing what can be made - beautiful presents for all occasions. One last thing to mention is the party area. Decorated in a very happy, fun way, with lots of supplies to keep a party going for a lot of little ones. I love this place and will definitely come back!

Very friendly service and huge variety of pottery to paint! And it's not just pottery, you can also make candles and paint on canvas. We will definitely be back.

Samara was totally sweet and made our night so fun and special. We had 3 generations of girls out to paint and get creative. There were so many options of projects, from candle making to ceramic painting and more. Walk ins were welcome which made it easy for us! Definitely coming back!

We had the best experience at The Painting Place! The owners were super attentive to our needs and helped us figure out the best way to decorate our pottery. They had every imaginable color and clear displays on how many coats to use to get the desired shades. They had all the tools and materials needed and a huge selection of pieces to create. We felt welcomed and relaxed and not at all rushed to finished within an allotted time frame. We can't wait to go back!
