We have been bringing our girls (three Yorkies) to the Original Dog Barber for 20 plus years. Chris and his staff took very good care of them. They bathed, trimmed, and gave them hair cuts from the time they were little squiggly puppies up to their last hair cut. They were always gentle with them and tolerant as they got older and less happy about being groomed. Always good to our girls.

They always do a terrific job grooming our dog and owner Chris is always very friendly! We've been going here for a couple years now. It's not the closest groomer to our house, but it's worth the trip. They are also very affordable. Chris listens to our requests and sends our dog home looking and smelling wonderful as always! I never have any complaints. I'm also able to get an appointment within a few days notice which is very convenient. Regular happy customer right here!

Boo is always well taken care of at the Dog Barber. He look super cute after his grooming and loves going; almost jumping out of the car when we get close.

I am seething as I write this review. Where do I even begin? We made an appointment a few weeks ago to get our dog Piksi's hair cut, as we usually do every few months. We had been here a few times before and generally had no issues. As the drop-off time is 7-9AM, my mom dropped him off at 7:45AM. The man who I believe is the owner grabbed him so harshly, and said he hasn't been cut since July of 2020 (based on their appointment book) - which is distressing as we brought him there for a cut in October 2020, so their recordkeeping is spotty. He kept referring to Piksi as "she", which is also weird, because we had brought him to this place before.
My sister called at around 10:30AM, as he was usually done around this time from previous experiences, and one of the female staff answered. The woman on the phone said she would go check on Piksi and put the phone down, which is when the owner picked up. He said Piksi wasn't ready yet and they would call when "she" was done. My sister was parked out front and said she would wait if he wasn't done yet, but she was wondering why he wasn't done because he was dropped off early as usual. He replied that they opened at 7AM, and that if we wanted Piksi to be finished earlier, we should have come at 7AM, and that we could expect Piksi to be done at 1 or 2PM, despite being dropped off at 7:45AM.
My sister was put off by his attitude and replied "noted," and he just HUNG UP with no response. We understand that some days are busier and more hectic, and we might have been okay with the timeline had he spoken to us in a normal tone without any attitude and explained that they were a little busier today. At that point, we weren't sure how Piksi was being treated, so my sister walked in and asked to pick Piksi up because we worried for his well-being.
The woman at the desk was kind and said she would go get him for us, though he hadn't been groomed yet and had only been washed. At that point, the owner walked up and said "That'll be $40." FOR A WASH. My sister told him that that was a ridiculous price to charge considering he was only been washed (in a tub that looked dirty and stained in the reflection from the mirror). His response? "THIS IS MY BUSINESS, I CAN CHARGE YOU WHATEVER I WANT." My sister gave him his money and at that point, she just wanted to get the hell out of there. As she left with our Piksi, he said "Bye sweetie" in a condescending tone.
If he treats his customers like that, I can only imagine how he treats the dogs left in his care for hours... we will never ever bring Piksi here again, and I regret any money that we have spent here, because now I'm left wondering what Piksi's experience was like. The female staff are nice and our problem isn't with them, but the attitude and rudeness of the owner just left us disgusted with the whole shop and experience.

they did a great job with our matted labradoodle. the prices our better than others groomers! it will be our new place for our dog.

I have been taking our dogs here for 15+ years. They are amazing. My dogs are so happy when I pick them up. The owner Chris really goes out of his way to get to know your fur babies. We just got our very first Big size dog and she just got her first cut and we are so happy with it.

I would give this place a zero if I could. Owner was very rude when we asked politely over the phone when he would be finished with my dog. He hung up the phone then I proceeded to walk inside and ask for my dog back as I was concerned even though he was only bathed. The owner then insisted $40 for the bath as he said it was his business and could do whatever he wants! We paid and left but then left a review on google to which he reported as he doesn't want his "5 star" reputation to be ruined. Don't be fooled imagine how many reviews he has taken down to make him have the stars he does. Never coming back.

My normal groomer was closed for a few weeks and then another groomer i found cancelled. I was calling around trying to find someone to take my
Golden doodle for grooming today. I talked to Chris and he took on my doodle no questions asked! Not only was he incredibly nice, they did a fantastic job considering I gave him very little instruction on what to do with my goldendoodle. He had her trimmed up, bathed and looking pretty within the time they promised. Prices were great and overall I am very happy! Thanks so much for a great first hair cut for our little Teddy! I didn't think it possible for him to be any cuter, but after a great bath and a fresh new hairdo, Teddy is the even more adorable. As a customer, I appreciated the early morning hours during the week. I was able to get Teddy in and out and get to work in a reasonable time.
