This review is for The Oregon News Store that is right before security, not the one once you get through security and into the terminals (don't think I've even ever been to that one lol).

They sell cigarettes, and that's the main motivation for going here and even reviewing at all. I know it's gross but anyone who smokes will understand the want/need to smoke before getting on a flight, or directly after you've landed.

This is the only place I am aware of in the airport that sells them. I've never seen them displayed, you just have to ask at the counter and they only have so many brands at any given time.

It's right next to where security is (for gates A, B, C I believe...) so if the line is full it might not look like you can get to it but you just gotta go around.

Otherwise it's just a general convenience store/gift shop you see all around the airport but I know they've saved my butt before with the cigarettes so YES I'm a fan!!!

Flying out of Terminal E at PDX? Need some nuts n' gum? How about magazines? Grab-n-go sandwiches? Newspapers? Water? Sodas? Snacks? Sundries?

WELL THIS IS THE PLACE, MY FRIENDS!

Let me tell you about the wonders that about at The Oregonian News! They have a startling array of various things you may need when you're captive at 30,000 feet. Think about it. You might get hungry. You might get thirsty. You might get bored! Did you forget to bring a gift for your nephew or niece? Will they cry when you show up to visit empty-handed? Never fear! They have some cheap Oregon Ducks gear here. Not cheap in price, mind you. Because this is a classic airport money grab. The prices are airport standard. But we're at an airport, so I'm not sure you could expect much else.

Friendly service, convenient location, and they have the things you so desperately need.

The Oregonian News is a great place to relax while waiting for your flight. Airports can be bleak places, and this outpost is an oasis. There are fun Oregon souvenirs (tho not as good as the Made in Oregon store before security) along with a huge selection of magazines to leaf through. If you want to know about the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie, the Blake Shelton/Miranda Lambert and Ben Affleck/Jennifer Garner splits, this is the place to go. For a convenience store, it's convenient.

Worst customer service ever. No delivery of my Sunday paper when I first subscribed. It was dumped on my doorstep the following Wednesday. I canceled my subscription and have been waiting for a refund of the money they owe me for TWO MONTHS now.
