Steve gave his burger, "the charger" an A+ which was served with onion rings for an extra $1. I had their homemade chips. Yummy. We will be back. Our server did an excellent job.

Great bar. Friendly people. Had a blast at 80s karaoke. Made some new friends too. Didn't try the food but will be back to do so.

The food was good. The service was great. The ambiance was fine for the area. Mostly friends just gathering for a get together.

Of late we have enjoyed the food and service here. Especially like the Fridays fish fillet dinner.

      First to Review

We had a group outing for about 25 of us here yesterday afternoon. The staff was accommodating and while we may have got one server a bit flummoxed, the experience was very good overall.

We all ordered beverages and many of us ordered lunch. The food was very good. A variety of offerings, reasonable prices, nice-sized servings, and very tasty entrees were enjoyed by many. I had the Rajun Cajun grilled chicken sandwich - it was nicely flavored, a big piece of chicken on a pretzel bun, with a tasty sauce and a side of crisp, fresh french fries. A couple in our group got the grilled tenderloin, which was equally flavorful and tasty. A few also got nachos, which are an appetizer, and they were a nice gooey combo of chips and veggies, and appropriate for one person to substitute as a lunch. At least one in our group got the fried tenderloin, which was a good-sized thin, crispy piece of pork.

Drinks are reasonably priced and the full bar has a variety to choose from. We had a couple of servers, and while one had some challenges keeping track of a few orders, the other server backed her up and helped take good care of us. Nice atmosphere that's family friendly.

This visit Steve had the breaded tenderloin with onion rings and I had the homemade potato chips with the sweet and sour sauce. Happy with our meal. Great place for a quick bite at a reasonable price.

My first time here ,since it opened up.

My complements to whom ever designed and re-did the interior, great job , much nicer now. Like the new tables and chairs a lot !

It's street parking here in Orion so new comers may have to walk a bit during the busy times.

I was there at 5:30 , the seats at the bar were all full, must be a great place to get booze, I don't drink ,so I had my pick of 50 chairs in the dining area, there was not a soul eating here (?) at supper time !

All the tables and chairs floor and walls were very clean , thats a good sign.

I am pretty sure that the ice water I got was from the tap, not through the filter in the pop dispenser , I live in Orion so , I know the nasty stuff.

The Pastrami sandwich and coleslaw came quickly the bread roll was ok but the meat was as dry as dry could be , no moisture what so ever, so it had about half of the taste that it should have.

A note about presentation at a restaurant :
even if a place has absolutely wonderful food, a fine presentation will always make the eating experience a better, one complements the other.

Personal hygiene is a must and what a waiter wears is very important,
      The "O" has substantial issues in this area, 5 y.o. t-shirts and 8 y.o.
hippie tights do NOT cut it .

Not at $10.00 for a sandwich and water.

A clean light colored blouse with a collar and plaquet and
clean darker slacks or skirt would go a L O N G way twords making the wait staff more presentable.

then there is food born cross contamination:
My waitress had a dirty ace bandage on her hand , unprotected by any covering, she was picking stuff off the floor with her good hand and eating snacks with it as well,

also she carried around a filthy dark brown wet rag and " cleaned" the chairs and tables , ,-roll eyes- never washing her hands!

Please consider some education for the wait staff, send them to a course , Orion Needs a good place to eat ,

Maybe you can make it as a bar, but people would drive from miles around for a good meal in a nice looking place like the "O" there is money to be made in the food buisness.

( I give every place three tries , so I will see you again)

Had the ribeye sandwich and their wings. Very good, wings were breaded nicely with a good crunch. Excellent sauces and great onion rings as well! Good addition to the area and will try something else next time.

Had the pleasure of visiting The O Kitchen and Tap today in beautiful Orion, Il. The bartender Veronica was a Rock Star! Moving like she was an octopus! Filling drinks, Waiting on people, cleaning as she went! She was a blur of good service! New ownership, I highly recommend them!!
