I realised they were doing a few specials so we decided to go with out friends to celebrate our September birthdays. I was worried we wouldn't get a table so I made reservations a week in advance for a Wednesday night. They were pretty dead. I loved the fact we basically had the place to ourselves & we weren't rushed.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. Ironically we decided to order off of the regular menu & it was really worth the extra money. We sat at a two burner table. * you can request two instead of one, just make sure to remember when making reservations. This was not my first time here but it's been probably about a year and it was nice to see some new additions to dip with. I also love the fact you can create your own meat tray for the third course. And it's just about the same price as the courses they offer.
I splurged and got a Strawberry-Blonde Martini, omg it was delicious!!! I actually had to have another. It was just sweet enough not too over powering on the sweet factor or alcohol. I highly recommend this drink!
I will definitely be coming back here maybe just for a drink and the dessertHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Andre S.WASHINGTON CROSSING, PA13110645May 11, 2018
Really annoying seating procedure, make you wait to be seated even if you are on time for your reservation and the restaurant is half empty.
Mediocre chain.
Fun for kids.
Good drinks and cheese fondue.
Rest of food is ok.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 2, 2016
Yes, I am a fondue fan! The Meting Pot in Warrington is my daughter's annual b'day dinner spot, with the occasional visit in between. The tables are private and the ambience is nice. They have a pretty decent wine list, which is always a plus for me. The service has always been consistently good and I have been here at least 3 times per year since they opened. On my most recent visit, there was a second server, in addition to our waiter, who brought us drinks. And as always, the manager delivers the check and asks how the experience was.
Now for the food: If you go for the gusto, there are 4 courses to be had (but you don't have to get all 4- it is a lot of food). First is the cheese. Oh yum, how I love cheese fondue!! There are several flavors to choose from and all are served with unlimited dippers (bread, apples, veggies). This time we had the cheddar. The server makes the cheese fondue for you at the table, it usually includes some type of wine or beer with seasonings and a blend of cheeses.
The second course is salad; there are 4 types to choose from. I had the California salad which was very fresh and tasty and included spring mix, blue cheese, and pecans. My daughter always gets the caesar with pine nuts; it is her fav.
The third course is the entree. There are plenty of options, along with 4 styles of cooking broth- beef, chicken, duck, salmon, shrimp, filled pasta, etc. We shared the salmon and spinach & artichoke ravioli with the classic court bouillon broth. The best part of the entree course is that it comes with unlimited veggies; potatoes, mushrooms & broccoli as well as 6 dipping sauces to mix and match.
The fourth and final course is the chocolate. Again, there are many choices. We had the yin & yang with dark & milk chocolate (substituted for white chocolate). They also have flaming turtle, s'mores, etc. The dessert dippers are also unlimited and include strawberries, banana, pineapple, brownies, blondies, rice krispy treats, etc.
They also have special seasonal menus to mix things up. If you tell them you are celebrating something special, you can get a little bauble, such as a candle with your dessert, balloon, etc. It can also be a romantic date spot because they have tables for 2 facing the back wall that are completely private between each table and you cannot see the other diners, nor can they see you.
One final note: If you don't like fondue, or the idea of cooking your own food at the table this is not the place for you! It really can be a lot of fun though and I recommend giving it a try. Be sure to make a reservation though.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Trushit O.Langhorne, PA56210217Apr 15, 2018
At Meeting Pot, we have only ever had dessert; so this review should be limited to that experience only. The fondue is great, we love it. They have a policy, no unlimited dippings, which is understandable. To me each additional plate at $3 is worth it. They are not trying to fleece you here. The dipping plate is well put together. Everything is fresh and the presentation is great.
The wait staff is very attentive. We had a pleasant server who took good care of us.
The ambience is great too. Seating is lit right and comfortable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 22, 2018
Good food and desserts! My bf and I had a much needed date night at the Melting Pot. We split one of the 4 course meals for dinner. It was just the right amount of food for both of us. The Alpine cheese dip was delicious, especially with the pretzel bread. For our entree we had shrimp, filet, chicken, steak and pork. I really enjoyed the chicken and shrimp and my bf loved the filet and beef. For dessert we had the plain milk chocolate dip with strawberries, bananas, pineapple, rice krispie treats and other delicious dippers.
The staff was excellent and very friendly.
The bathroom can be a little difficult to find, depending on where you're sitting, but it is very clean and the stalls are super private. You can end up spending a lot of money here, but it's worth it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 4, 2017Updated review
Always a great time coming here. Where can you go to make your own food pretty much? No where. The melting pot is very tasty. The best course is the desserts. Chocolate fondue is the best paired with pound cake pieces and marshmallows. Good for family gatherings and birthday parties. The staff is very friendly and are quick. Sign up for their mail and they will send you a free chocolate covered strawberries on your birthday or anniversary.

The service however is hit or miss, some waitstaff is great, others disappear for ten-twenty mins without checking on you or refilling drinks. This night in particular was a special night- a girls night and they had a deal. The food was tasty and the service was good.

It's good food for a special occasion.
But at this location, the big thing that is not good, no handicap accessibility. And it is not good for big people either. For us, that is why we walked out. They seated me at the end of a stationary table. I understand the need for those tables because if the heating element. But putting me right at the end with the switch in my belly. Yeah, that was handicap friendly. And all stationary tables, what is that about???? Don't want people with issues in there?
I've been to other locations and had much different experience.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 29, 2015
I'm confused by their reservation system at this location since it's never full yet Opentable and their own phone system makes it seem like it's impossible to get into. It's conveniently located so perhaps they're saving tables for walk-ins?
Regardless, it's a standard Melting Pot with both cheese and broth options. The best part is the chocolate fondue - and if you ask nicely, you can even have a mix of the milk and dark chocolate in the yin-yang style.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bonnie D.Lehigh Acres, FL21520Jun 20, 2017

The atmosphere and decor are quite nice. Noisy enough that the kids didn't stand out. Not so noisy that I couldn't hear myself think.
Was here for the international fondue day, 4 ounces of award winning cheese for $4.11 (and 2 ounces of white wine base). It comes with dippers, which was nice. The first batch of 2 orders of the cheese was not what I expected, but the taste slowly grew on me, so we ordered another 2 batches. Unfortunately, the second set of 2 servings had a strong taste of the white wine base (I really don't think it all "burned off" like the server said). It just wasn't as good. Price was fine because of the special; but I doubt we would come back because the whole "cook your own meal with little spears" just doesn't appeal to us.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
