The Melting Pot

I have eaten at several Melting Pot locations. They are typically exceptional. this location in SLC fell well outside that expectation. The hostess and servers were arrogant and the food quality was poor at best. Will not be eating here again.

John was wonderful however left my dart there just received that night and was
Mysteriously gone when showed up 10 minutes later I certainly hope this is found because it means a lot to me if not found I will never return again this is seriously put a damper on my night

Service was great, food was mediocre and overpriced for quantity compared to other fondue type restaurants. It was okay but we probably won't be back.

I have eaten there many times - but service and food quality has gone downhill. Vegetables were so old they were brown-ish! The meat and fish looked limp, probably had been sitting outside of refrigeration for a long time. And 35 minute wait for drinks - several times, so it wasn't a fluke. The meal took so much longer than before that we didn't have time for part of the courses we paid for (desert) and even though they said I could get it to go, they took so long after we paid to get it to us that we left without (between when we told them& paid and when we left was 40+ minutes). Sad, prices jumped and service and quality went downhill. Oh and it didn't help that staff kept yelling "corner" every few minutes right next to our table!

This place was just ok and definitely not worth the price. It took 2+ hours to get all of our food and that's only because our waiter kept disappearing. The restaurant smelled dirty and I've used cleaner gas station bathrooms. The chocolate fondue was very good so if you go, just go for dessert.

If you are looking to spend an inordinate wad of cash, for a small amount of food that you have to cook, this is your lucky day. Service wasn't great. Food was okay. Took three hours and the majority of that time was waiting for the food to come out or the table to be bussed. Went home poor and hungry.

This place is slowly going downhill and it's been happening for several years. The quality is still pretty much there, but the quantity is a drastic difference, especially when prices haven't changed.

We ate here yesterday for dinner. Our bill for 2 adults and one child, no alcohol, was $150 before tip.

We ordered the special dinner for 2, not the Big Night Out. We did the "choose your own" which is 3 choices of meat. The amount you get is ridiculous, especially considering this option a la carte is $30. We got 4 bite sized pieces of each item. For $30. If you had ordered only steak I doubt the pieces would equal one full steak.

The quality of the food is still good, all the usual sauces are there, same cheese options etc. They don't mix things at the table anymore, like the cheese, so when they bring pots out they are ready to eat.

The food choices with the dessert is also slimmer than before.

Service was very good. Friendly, attentive, fast.

All in all, it gets more disappointing each time we come. For $150 we could make ourselves a LOT of fondue, it's getting less and less worthwhile coming to this restaurant.

the food here is always so so amazing. the staff is so nice and come by quite frequently to ask how everything is going and offer assistance. it's a fun experience to make your own food at the table, but it's always delicious. it's a little pricey, but it's so worth it for what you're getting. the food tastes so good and it's just a good experience overall. highly recommend!

THE STAFF! Omg it was my husband and I's honeymoon. We were planning to go somewhere Else and couldn't get in so we actually went over to the melting pot and even though they were totally full, they ended up getting us in. AND IT WAS AMAZING! The service then experience 10/10 would recommend!
