My friends and I typically come here once a year for a Xmas dinner. This year we decided to all dress in onsies and have fun with it. Although we got stares from the other people dining (rightfully so) the staff all liked it. There are two choices for the 4 course dinner. A regular one and a slightly bigger one that includes lobster. We got the bigger one.
Drinks: We all got their Ying Yang martini to start and it was basically a vanilla mudslide with chocolate shavings on top, which don't get me wrong was very good. We also got the Love martini which everyone liked and the chocolate martini which nobody really thought to much of.
Salads: I got the Strawberry Almond salad and asked instead of Feta cheese to have candied pecans and it was SOOOO good!!!!!
Cheeses: We got the Bacon Cheddar and the artichoke Cheeses. I loved the Bacon Cheddar cheese and ate way to much of it. My friends really liked the artichoke one also. We were a party of 5 and got 2 pots and had nothing left in either but were stuffed with cheese when done. I am sure 2 pots of cheese would be a great amount for up to 6 people.
Meats: there are multiple cooking styles. We did the MOJO which has a bit of a kick to it but by no means spicy at all and the oil which is essentially like deep frying. We got an enormous amount of meat and veggies. Good balance of surf and turf. Veggies are unlimited. The mushrooms filled with the cream they have and then rolled in tempura better and fried were AMAZING! We were STUFFED and had meat left over we didn't cook so the server asked if we wanted to cook the rest and take it home. My husband was very happy I brought him home a doggy bag.
Chocolate: We ordered smores and dark chocolate dulche(?). They came out with a large amount of items to dip. Brownies, fruits, pound cake, waffles, marshmallows. Both chocolates were very good! I am admittedly not a chocolate person but even so we were soooo stuffed from the prior courses we didn't eat to much of the chocolate. What we did have though was really good!
My friends and I talk a LOT and have a history of being the last people to leave at the end of the night. We stayed 5 hours and honestly we only left because they closed. They stop seating at 8:30pm and the last groups typically leave around 10pm or so.
Great place for date night or group dinners. However keep in mind this is not a cheap place to come to. Figure spending at least $100 a person. The food is excellent and you will leave stuffed. It was a great time and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Thank you so ,much for this awesome review! We LOVE your onesies! We look forward to celebrating with you again sometime!

First time experience have a full course fondue menu!
Appetiezer - cheese fondue !! You can taste the bourbon in this & i love how rich the cheese is
Salad - strawberry almond
Entrée - the classic with variety of meat & shrimp + coq au vin broth which is an infused red wine broth. Interesting! You just need to cook your meat on the boiling broth & dip it with the dipping sauce.
Dessert - flaming turtle ! Ahhhh tbh i expect it a lil too much! I love it but i wish that the chocolate will be richer & more chocolatey than liquidy.
Overall, good experience ! And i am very full & oay $67 per person for 3 pax group

Thank you so much for such an awesome review, Michelle! We appreciate the love!

Why not 5? Entree not worth but nice cheesy experience + good service.
What I got: Big night out dinner for 2 (bourbon bacon cheese fondue, coq au vin cooking style) actually lots of food so be prepared!
Cheese fondue: not overly cheesy which is great, good bread
Salad: good
Entree: cubed meats (salmon, steak, chicken, ravioli thing) + others (broccoli, mushroom, potatoes), came with sauces
-ravioli was super good
-meats are okay, not amazing- probably better off getting actual hotpot- sauce didn't help that much
-mushrooms pretty good
-potato good with cream cheese
Dessert: got the smores one, good dip for fruit. Others way too sweet esp if you dip it in the chocolate.
Bee's tea was good - pretty tea-y
If you made it this far: honestly just getting fondue and salad would be good enough. Can just forego entree

Thank you so much for leaving such a great and detailed review, Alexandra! Thank you also for posting these awesome photos. We would LOVE to have you back for some cheese fondue and salad. Also, you can always ask for just fruit in your dessert dipper plate. Thanks again! See you next time!

This was our first time here and we did like the food, I just think it was not worth what we paid. There is an option for 2 people for $110 which is platter of items that you can dip in cheese, then they bring out your choice of salad. After your salad is your entree and then chocolate fondu dessert. They have a bigger dinner which was about $115-$118ish. The bourbon bacon cheese was amazing, the service was really good and everyone is super nice. I just wish the pricing was not so expensive. To be completely honest, if it were more affordable, we would definitely come back, but I'd rather spend $120 at a steak house or kobe steak and sushi.

Thank you so much for this feedback, Monique! We totally understand that 4 courses of fondue is not for everyone. It sounds like you really loved the cheese, and we absolutely have guests that come in just for cheese or chocolate fondue, or both. We would love to have you back, and you definitely don't have to commit to a hefty check.
Thank you again for this survey, Monique!

My boyfriend took me here on a date & let me tell you how out of place I felt there. It was a very classy setting that I felt I didn't belong there even though I dressed the part. It's just me not knowing how to act at a nice dine in experience lol.
We got the $90 meal that came with all 3 course. My favorite was the cheese dip they serve you first. I love cheese so this was a fun experience of dipping & eating. There was an assortment of food items to dip too. The main entree with our protein choices & soup base reminded me of hot pot. Dessert was also a dipping experience but with chocolate & sweets on the side. The overall meal was delicious. Portions look small but it was filling at the end.

Thank you so much for this AWESOME review, Ivy! I'm so glad you had a good time! I hope you now know there is no reason at all for you to feel out of place. We look forward to your next visit!

Great date night & small group night place! Menu is simple enough, yet broad enough to cover everyone! The drink menu has been expanded and is fantastic! The Melting Pot mule, the Eiffel Tower, and any of the wines are great! Bring your appetite and your other credit card !

This is my boyfriend and I's favorite spot to go too! We try and go about once a month and always request to have Cain as our server! He always gives the best service and is so attentive to his guests!
We always get the four course meal for 2 and it never disappoints! The money you spend is always worth it!!!! Also recommend the Yin and Yang Martini!

Oh wow, what a fantastic review! Thank you so much! we've passed this on to Cain. ;) We'll see you next time!

I have been coming here for my birthday celebration with my family for as long as I can remember and the food is always immaculate. This time the fondue wasnt made in front of us which was a touch I missed tonight, likely a covid precaution so I am sure eventually that will make a return. Every time I leave I am so full, this time we even took some left overs! Great spot for celebrations or date night. Its always a spot I am eager to return to!

Thank you so much for the lovely review and the gorgeous picture, Lexy! We look forward to your next visit!

During Sacramento Restaurant Week I purchased several gift cards at a discount to help support restaurants. I always wanted to try MP and they were participating soooo I just used my gift certificate. One wouldn't think 4 course fondue would fill you up but it does.
Our waitress was awesome and helpful explaining everything. For first course we did Cheddar Bacon fondue with the gluten free bread option (not allergy, just preference trying to reduce wheat). The flavor was excellent. We dipped bread, veges, and green apple. Soooo good and thick.
Salads were cold and fresh, nice after a hot day. Next course we picked the Classic with shrimp, pork, a couple types of beef and a Vege option with artichoke, peppers, potato, broccoli, mushrooms, potstickers, and stuffed pasta. We chose the mojo type of broth to cook in. The meat and verges are all raw and they cook at the table. You can control what goes into the pot and when. Entree course also comes with various sauces.
For dessert we chose the Flaming Turtle which is chocolate with caramel and set aflame then pecans ate added. Dippers include strawberries, banana, rice crispy treat, waffle, crumb-dusted marshmallow, and pound cake plus we still had green apple from cheese course. It was a great way to end the meal. I loved the fruit and chocolate combos.
We also had a couple of drinks, they do not skimp on the alcohol, it was definitely in there. This is a nice place for a celebration or for a treat. You don't have to order the 4 courses, they can be purchased individually but not sure what the price breakdown is.

Dear Dei,
Thank you so much for not only choosing The Melting Pot as one of the restaurants you support, but also for taking the time to write such a great review!
We hope to see you for a celebration in the future!

I've been meaning to go here for so many years but never went until recently. It's a great place for melting cheese and hearts and ideal for dates or special occasions. Be prepared for a fun, and interactive fondue dining experience. The menu offers a few options but you are free to customize it to your liking. I highly recommend the 4 course experience. You start off by selecting your favorite cheese fondue, salad, entree, and chocolate. After that, you can choose one of the four cooking styles and sauces to enhance the flavor in every bite. For drinks, they do have a full bar with an extensive wine menu. Back to the food. The first course which is the cheese comes with two kinds of bread, like soft pretzel bites, apples. and veggies. I think the beer overpowered everything so I personally did not enjoy it. The second course was the salad which had some of the best house made ranch that I tasted! Next was the meat and seafood entree where we tried out filet mignon, lobster tails, chicken and salmon. Everything was fresh and cut skewer size so you can easily put them on your skewer to cook. For the style of broth, we chose the Coq Au Vin which is Burgundy wine infused with fresh herbs, spices, and mushrooms. My favorite course was the last which was dessert. Overall, the food was ok, but it's really the dining experience in a nice setting. Be prepared to stay here for two hours or so and take your time. Definitely would recommend this for an interactive, unforgettable dining experience.

Hai, thank you so much for this awesome review! We LOVE your tagline about melting cheese and hearts!
on your next visit, you can either choose a less beery fondue OR you can always ask that the fondue is made with vegetable bouillon in stead of beer or wine. We look forward to seeing you again!
