This food was sooooo good! Greg was awesome and very knowledgeable about any questions we had of the menu. He was entertaining and kept us laughing all evening. I would definitely recommend this place and Greg as your server! BUSSIN

Madeline, thank you so much for letting us know about your visit. Please come back soon!

Popped into my local Melting Pot with a friend on a Monday. Overall, the experience was ok. The restaurant is older and a little run down.
Server: 5 stars! She was very attentive and offered recommendations based on our dietary restrictions!
Food: 3 stars. The food was just ok.
Picture: Nothing exciting to post!

Thank you for your feedback, we'll review it with our management team.

We reserved a table for four to celebrate a family birthday. We have visited Melting Pots in multiple states and I was shocked at our experience.
1) Our server was HORRIBLE. He couldn't answer a single question and didn't even try. His response was, "Oh, I don't even know. I haven't been doing this long so I have no idea... haha" - every response in that same vein. He literally did not care. Fast food service is better. This is not an exaggeration. We were pretty sure he was not sober.
2) The drinks took FOREVER. My husband ended up getting up to go find them - to locate them sitting on the bar, by themselves, amongst flies.
3) The fondue was sloppily prepared. Remember that server above? He was sloshing food across the entire table so badly it was covering the table. Cheese everywhere. While bragging about the fact he's never made this before.
4) When the meat finally came, it was poor quality. None of us came close to finishing even half. It was incredibly depressing as it was so wasteful.
5) Every person we came across was horribly unprofessional. But the SERVER. The teenager that got a $60 tip because he uncomfortably loomed over me while I paid the $300 check. That's when I felt robbed of $360. Like I'd just thrown it away. Because I basically did - on an extraordinarily long, uncomfortable, poor quality, dinner.
We will never go back.

Came here for my brother's birthday, we've been here before and we always love coming! Definitely the best fondue experience you can get in Raleigh, there are plenty of options to choose from and you can enjoy the experience of cooking/dipping your own food! We got 4 courses, we spent about 3 hours here so make sure you have plenty of time to spare!
We got the fiesta and Wisconsin trio for the first course, it came with chips, vegetables, and bread, I personally enjoyed the fiesta with the chips and the Wisconsin for the veggies and bread! I got the house salad with ranch dressing as well, it was super tasty, a good break between the cheese and the main course. We got the classic broth and the Mojo (citrus!) for cooking, I ordered the steak lovers for the meats. Each pot comes with a mix of mushrooms, potatoes, and broccoli as well. The steak came with 3 options, all of which I enjoyed, the 6 sauces they give the table really helps give variety to the meal, I loved the teriyaki the most. For the cooking, I personally couldn't taste a difference between the broths for the meat, but you can definitely taste the citrus in the vegetables from the Mojo. I did not enjoy it, so I'd personally recommend the classic cooking broth, but if you like citrus, go for it!
Lastly, for dessert, we got the Oreo dream extreme and the milk chocolate. I did not try the Oreo, but the milk chocolate was great! You get an array of desserts: brownie, blondies, strawberries, banana, pound cake, graham-cracker coated marshmallows, and rice crispy treats. It was my brother's birthday so he got a martini glass filled with strawberries, pound cake, whipped cream and a candle, it was cute! Overall, it was a fun and tasty experience. The service was great, they will help explain things if you need it, I definitely recommend the experience!

Thank you so much for celebrating with us and for leaving such a detailed review. Hope to see you again soon!

The Melting Pot is Raleigh's BEST special occasion restaurant! The menu may seem pricey, but you more than get what you pay for in atmosphere alone. I highly recommend their "Big Night Out" dinner, which was around $75 for two people, because you will get a serving of the very best they offer; steak, seafood, veggie spread for each fondue course.
You need to plan for AT LEAST 2-3 hours for your visit. Your meal is served in courses, and cooked right at your table in your own fondue pot. This is high-quality gourmet here, with fondue sauces and of course the chocolate fondue dessert! (I highly recommend the Flaming Turtle, with its chocolate, caramel and pecan!) or the crushed Butterfingerdessert.)
The cocktail menu and wine list are unbelievable! Try one - there is a variety of exotic and delicious gourmets-in-a-glass that will delight your taste buds.
Let the staff know if it's a special occasion, and they will go above their already-topnotch customer service to arrange a special treat that will make your night memorable. A friend proposed at their dinner, and they had rose petals and champagne plus a staff photographer standing by for his signal. We had our own wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was more fun than our wedding reception the next day!! Should have just had it there!
The food is awesome, the dining experience an event in itself and the staff is the very best. (Please tip well - I give them at least 25% because they are attentive and deserve every bit of it!!) Your waiter will treat you as if you are their special personal guest, even though you know they have other tables as well.
WELL worth the money, and an experience you and your friends will never forget.
Been coming here for anniversaries and birthdays since 1998. Can't say enough good things.

First time visitor. Took the wife here on our 5th anniversary, and enjoyed it. We ended up selecting the "Big Night Out" dinner for two, and it was more than enough for both of us!
For our cheese, we selected the Quattro Formaggio-absolutely amazing starter.
Salads were next; I picked the Apple Bacon Spinach; the wife picked the California. Both were good.
The meats were steak, chicken, salmon, shrimp and mushroom Saccheti. All were good.
Dessert was chocolate fondue, with assorted dipping stuff like brownies, cookies, etc.
Overall, it was a pricey dinner, but enjoyable. Truth be told, I like my meats over flame...not steamed. But, this was a fun experience. Service was spot-on, helpful and friendly.

Thank you for the detailed review. Next time, we suggest asking your server about our grill cooking style!

OVERPRICED 400% mediocre food guised as gourmet! Cheese melted- morning old bread (for that price it should be warm from oven like MANY restaurants have). 25 usd for one step above ratty bread from church offering bowl.
Service is ok- like you have to wave down anyone to get something - plates need to be cleared -the server pushing HARD to increase the bill! Sauces are ok- mustard was fantastic!
I felt for that price point they could use a good deep clean of fabric on booths or just replace...kinda felt worn and stained- like that nail shop from early 2000. You kinda wondered how clean the kitchen was if front of house looks like a motel lobby tore up from 20 years ago.
Lastly, for the love of Pete..hang some fabric to cover your kitchen walkway-- it's unsanitary and eye sore to see the dirty kitchen. Trust and believe most restaurants cover it for a purpose.
2 stars for novelty the other star got knocked for price gauging. Overall, you left this place feeling like you were insulted, robbed, and left starving.

Nerissa, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your visit and we'd like a chance to speak to you further about it. Can you please email us at meltingpotmarketing@veri… and include your full review and phone number?

As someone who has travelled extensively to Europe and had many a fondue experience over seas, I can confidently say that my experience at the melting pot was by far the most authentic fondue I have had in the states. The atmosphere mimicked that of the French/Swiss countryside completed by the cultured service and variety of dishes.
If you'd read up to this part and you've dined at the melting pot, then you know I am completely joking. Horrible experience and service. Food was from Walmart. 1/10. I hope it goes out of business.

Mike - We are really sorry to hear this. One of our managers would like a chance to speak with you. Please send your phone number, along with specific details about your experience to meltingpotmarketing@veri…

This place will always be near and dear to me. They had me at melted cheese... but seriously I've been a part of the Melting Pot's Club Fondue for years. I always specifically watch for Ladies Night Out because they have 3 Course meals for half the price. I've come for numerous ladies night events, date nights, and birthdays. I always make reservations through Open Table and have never had a problem being seated. I've always had great service and I always order the same thing so I know it will be good.
Typically I order the Wisconsin cheddar, but sometimes I'll venture out to try their new cheeses. I always get the surf and turf and the Coq Au Vin (Red wine) Cooking style. Hands down the best one. My favorite chocolate is the flaming turtle. I honestly just love that they set it on fire... and they let me change it from milk chocolate to dark chocolate.
Every birthday and anniversary, I get free chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the meal. They will send you a coupon via e-mail if you sign up for club fondue.

Thanks for being such a loyal dipper, Ashley! We look forward to your next visit.

An experience and a half! You come for the experience! Don't come starving because you will be frustrated. You have to cook your own food. You choose a starter and entree and dessert. You choose a cooking method. And you get brief instructions oN how long to leave your meat in the sauces in order for them to cook. I would ignore some of these "servers" and pay attention to cooking the chicken properly! Salmonella is no joke. Pay attention to what the cards read on the table and not just the server. 2 min for chicken? Bubble guts anyone?? I am a cook and baker so I knew better and everything came out great. I would get the 1/2 for 2 people for starters, full for entree and 1/2 for 2 people for dessert. If you are basic hungry, what I said works for you both. I did the Caribbean mojo.
Next time I may do the skillet but we shall see since the skillet seemed to create a bit more smoke than I would like. However the skillet did look like you could SEE the food cooking unlike when you have your meats inside the pot. Totally up to you.
I did the Wisconsin cheese combo. And I did the dark chocolate dulce dessert.
Full disclosure:
I am very picky and because I cook and bake well... I expect very specific flavors.
