The Melting Pot

Wow!! Went last night for my daughter's birthday! Party of 6, Tatiana our server was amazing! 4 course Big Night Out for 2 with lobster tail, bacon & brie and spinach cheese fondue, fabulous!! Next came the salads, Ceasars  and California, then the show  began, Coq au Vin and MOJO fondue,  steak, chicken, salmon, shrimp, more meat and broccoli and mushrooms!! So many different  sauces to dip in I can't remember them all!!
Dessert, OMG!! By now we were stuffed, but there was no way we were going to pass up The Original  and Flaming Turtle!!! Strawberries, pineapple,  bananas,  rice Krispy cake, pound cake, brownies, OH MY!!! I seriously wanted to lick the pot clean!! Oh,  we also brought a birthday cake,  needless to say,  we took it home! Tatiana had a blast trying to light 30 candles!!
We had such an amazing experience!! The restaurant  had a birthday card in the table, such a nice touch!!

This place is excellent for celebrating intimate birthdays and anniversaries! The reason I say intimate is because of the atmosphere. Quiet, peaceful not noisy. Our server Kate was personable and very knowledgeable of the menu. She was AWESOME!!! Yes the menu is pricey but why not treat yourself yearly right?  And it's worth it!! I definitely recommend this place for a girls night out too!! The food is fresh and since you cook it's delicious!! Oh yeah and you will be carded when purchasing alcohol!  I'm 58 but look late 30's early 40's so that amused me!! Enjoyed my experience there as always!!!

Great selection of cheese & chocolate fondue. We chose the bacon & brie cheese fondue, it was ok! I thought we couldn't go wrong with anything bacon but it was not as good as I thought it would be. Our entree selections were pacific rim & land & sea and we chose the tabletop grilled as our cooking method! Everything was great although i didn't care for duck but the hubby did. Absolutely loved the peppercorn sirloin!! For our chocolate fondue we chose flaming turtle and it was awesome! Service was a little slow but it was because so many were celebrating valentines late like we were except it was my birthday dinner as well because we couldn't get reservations last weekend. It was our first time and definitely will go back to try a different cheese fondue amount other reasons. Oh & make sure you at least try the ying & yang martini, so Yummy!!!!

Let me start by saying the food was good. That's the 2 stars.
Our waitress didn't bring water, didn't bring the drinks we ordered, didn't bring the salads, didn't bring the allergen options we asked for, and didn't check on us more than once all night.
Truly unfortunate, because the rest of the place seemed to be running fine.

I enjoyed the food.  The reason I did not give it more stars was due to the fact that I ordered a mix drink and was told I could not get one because I didn't have my license.  First of I understand stand this if I wasn't 53 years old.  I had a picture of my license on my phone and showed it and was told I still could not get a drink because they have to have license in hand.

OMG!  We went here on a recommendation....
The waitress ruined our entire experience.  She was slow, inattentive and totally unaware of the concept of customer service.  When she finally did make an appearance at our table with the bill, she conveniently checked the 20% tip option....not happening.  We were upset enough to mention our experience with management, and he rolled his eyes with the same amount of disinterest.
Would not recommend this place....there are too many others businesses that appreciate to coming....this is not one of them!

Thurs-date! This past Thursday evening was our second visit to this Melting Pot location.
Back-up: New Year's Eve 2020 was our anniversary and we were supposed to be out at sea celebrating our 20th. But CV killed that plan... so I had to find something else that was "different."
The Melting Pot was a great experience. Made reservations and told them that it was our wedding anniversary. We arrived and the initial table that we were supposed to have was just too tight to sit at (I'm not a Twiggy) so they graciously honored our request to move to another table. We received an Anniversary card and I had ordered chocolate covered strawberries in advance. Our waiter was Anthony and he was very knowledgeable to the fondues and cooking methods. A very personable young man.
Present date: So we just came back from a late birthday getaway and celebrated with their Thurs-date menu. $44 per person (+ drinks and taxes). We had the Spinach and Artichoke cheese, a house salad with house dressing, the entrée with cooking oil and a flaming turtle chocolate fondue dessert. They also have a Thurs-date drink menu... I LOVED the Love Martini (peachy flavor). The evening came with 6 free chocolate covered strawberries (email from Birthday club online). We lucked out with Anthony still working there so we requested him ahead of time as our waiter. Just another enjoyable and relaxed experience!

This place is very close to my heart. The first time I came here was on my first date with my current partner . The food is absolutely amazing it will definitely leave you speechless every time. Their seating is usually pretty intimate and private and have a dark lighting type mood which is great. We have gone many times for anniversaries or dinner dates or even a pick me up date night. I reserve online and they always have a card for us waiting which is so kind ! The first time we went we got the full four course meal. This includes the cheese fondue, the salad, the entree, and the dessert fondue. If you do get this it is expensive it will run you about over $100. Please be aware of this! However we now only get the cheese and dessert and it usually cuts it down to $45 for both of us. This is simp my because we don't really enjoy the entree because of the waiting for it to cook and the salad that was my favorite - strawberry was taken off the menu. Their menu does change quite a bit which is sad but everything is always delicious !! Also sign up for their emails and program they send free coupons for birthdays and such !

Walked in with a reservation to celebrate my daughter's adoption. Saw zero staff in masks. Husband asked and the hostess said that servers "might" wear them. Walked out. Gross and unsanitary.

What's the bad to say about the melting pot? Oh, I know: they never rebuilt in Asheville all those years ago when the great flood came about (not the one that happened two thousand years ago).
The melting pot in Greenville is absolutely fantastic! I love it and I'd come here more often if I lived closer. The food was so good, I forgot to take pics of it. I did get a pic of the most important dish though: dessert!
One huge improvement this location made: they open at noon on the weekends now. Thank you so much!!!! I can't wait to go back!
The service, too, was just as good as the food!
