We break the ice for you when we turn up our burners. Reconnect and grow closer over steaming fondue at The Melting Pot of Grand Rapids.…
Q:
What alcohol drinks melting pot has?
A:
Extensive, the list is! Using Google, you should try; or phone number.
Q:
Is the 4 course price per person, or are these shareable?
A:
The price is designed to be per person, but the three adults in my household always order for two and add on an extra salad. We leave stuffed every time!

I don't often go to major chain restaurants, but we came here for a special occasion treat meal. We splurged on the "bigger night out" menu which is your choice of cheese fondue and dessert fondue, choice of salad, and every kind of protein for the main including filet and lobster. It's a fun and different dining experience that forces you to slow down and enjoy it, which we liked!
We got the French onion gruyere cheese fondue, the mojo style for the entree, and the yin yang chocolate fondue. All were good. My favorite protein was the filet and my favorite dessert dipper was the brownie. I also got a house salad, and I loved the tangy honey mustard dressing. They will bring you extra cheese/ dessert dippers on request, and I got extra brownies to indulge in! I believe the check said our server's name was Charlee... we had a trainee and trainer and they were great.
I look forward to coming back to try different options!

Had a lovely experience at The Melting Pot tonight for my husbands birthday. The food was amazing and so much fun to cook by ourselves! We did the 4 course meal option. We started off with the Wisconsin Cheese fondue. Yum. The servers prepare it at your table and then let you do the dipping. Then we had salads. Husband had the house salad with peppercorn ranch. I had the Caesar salad. Both were okay. Then came the main entree. Husband got the steak lovers, I got the create your own with chicken and a couple different steaks. The teriyaki steak was our favorite out of all the meat. Again, was really cool to be able to cook our own food right at the table. Ended the meal with the classic chocolate fondue which had chunky peanut butter in it. *chefs kiss*
Would definitely go again. Overall, great experience. Ben (our server) was also pretty awesome!

Nothing like what I expected... Take trying to be something great and slam it against the concept of a Hot Pot and you have... The Melting Pot. Our waitress was nothing but courteous so no faults to her. But the food was not that great... I would give this 3 stars at best. For $137 plus tip out the door for two I expected a lot more... In fact I would have gone somewhere else...
Felt like it was a first date impression club... and I should have just gone with my gut and gone to the Chop House or something more higher end...
For the Experience I would give a 5 (yup its neat to cook your own food..) and the combinations of pots is a bit overwhelming but kind of fun...
But quality and quantity of what we had I would give it a 2 (Its just not that good...) If you do go stick to the sea food... The beef takes WAY to long and tastes just off putting... Like meat cooked in a dishwasher...
I would say if you are going to spend what we spent go elsewhere there are a lot better options...

We've been going to the melting pot for 8 years now. We love the atmosphere and the stay and linger pace.
Tonight we were celebrating our anniversary. Started with the classic alpine for our cheese. I had the Caesar salad and my husband had the california.
My husband had the steak lovers and I had the classic for our entrees. My absolute favorite thing here is the sauces. The plum sauce with the shrimp is delicious. I like to mix the curry and teriyaki for my chicken. The Gorgonzola port is my absolutely favorite - great with all the steaks. I like to mix Gorgonzola and green goddess for my veggies.
We had a bananas foster chocolate years ago (white chocolate with brandy and cinnamon) and they will still make it here upon request! Our favorite! Pound cake is delicious with it!
We love this place, reliable and consistent. Took off a star because over the years the options served on their cheese and chocolate plates have dwindled.

I knew this had mixed reviews but a fondue joint just sounded so fun for our anniversary and my husband's birthday (days apart). We called and they said they only had availability at 8:45, so that's when we made reservations. That's late for us but we decided to do it. We went early just to see if they had anything open and could get us in quicker. They said they had no availability, which I thought was odd because there were clearly open tables. Oh well, we would just come back. When we did come back they acted like they couldn't find our reservations but they did seat us. The outside of the restaurant gets you excited. Their are pictures of fondue and words like "romantic" and "special" but I can assure you our seats felt anything but romantic and special. I felt on display for everyone to see. Staff was constantly going by. It felt like they put us in the hallway.
A review said that the service was slow and though it's true that this will take you almost 2 hours (or longer with a chatty group), our server brought each course out pretty quickly after we were done with the last course. He never once refilled our drinks though and made a comment like "whoa, where'd all the food go?" I think he was joking, but also who wants to feel like a pig? I didn't like the cheese (Wisconsin cheddar) and you basically get a heaping helping of bread to go with it. It felt cheap. The salad was small and sloppy, but tasted good. We did like the main course meat, especially the teriyaki beef and shrimp. Some of the dipping sauces were really yummy. The chocolate turtle fondue was okay. Again, it felt cheap. It didn't taste like thick quality chocolate, it tasted like chocolate syrup with pecans in it.
Overall, fun to try but definitely not a place I plan to go to again. It's overpriced for the quality of food you receive. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere at all and the service was just okay.

If you're going to do the full experience, make sure you plan on roughly 3 hours for the meal from start to finish. It includes a salad, an appetizer fondue, a main course fondue, and a dessert fondue. Spreading out the courses over an hour helps so you aren't too full. The house salad was great with the house dressing. We got the Wisconsin Cheddar appetizer and dipped bread, pretzels, apples, and veggies. The Classic comes with beef and chicken and pork and shrimp. The dessert is really where you get the bang for your buck. Even just going for desserts and drinks would be amazing!

We loved it for our group. It's the perfect place to go with a large group to socialize, eat food and have drinks. Perfect for a date night as well. You can get for around $80 an appetizer, meal, and dessert for two.

I've always had a soft space in my memories and stomach for The Melting Pot! The food and service have always lovingly greeted me! Everything from the starting fondue, cocktail options, or the choice of towels in the restrooms feels as if it was planned with intention.
Now this is not a first date spot. If your not sure you like the individual, I recommend you save this spot for later. Plan for a hour and a half to two hour dining experience if you enjoy four courses.
I have to admit, every time the food is brought to the table I question if it's gonna be enough- Only to feel stuffed with a few items to cook remaining at the end.
We are an family of three adults and always are filled by the 'big night out' for two people, supplemented by an extra salad.
I recommend ending off with the flaming turtle chocolate fondue and asking for the addition of a dollop of peanut butter!
The pandemic table spacing felt sufficient, sanitizer was available, team members wore masks consistently. Our server, Megan, treated us well this weekend.
Make sure to pick up a $6 bottle of garlic & wine seasoning to take home!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to give such detail to our future guests! We are so happy to hear you can count on us for an amazing experience with your family. We look forward to continuing the trend and seeing you soon!

This my first experience here for a dine in.
We tried :
- Wisconsin Cheese Fondue
- Turtle Caramel Chocolate Fondue
- Lemonade Juice with Mango Syrup
Pros :
- A cozy beautiful restaurant for a romantic dinner
- Their Chocolate Fondue is really good and delightful
- The employees are super friendly and helpful with great service
Cons :
- The prices are expensive (The whole order was for almost $50, and we didn't order main courses)
- The Cheese Fondue was too salty, plus the spices smell was too strong that it got stuck in our clothes so badly that you have to wash it.
- The menu shows prices for one, and we ordered one order of each plate, but when we got the check, they put the order for 2 of each plate without clarifying that to us.
I recommend this place for having dessert and chocolate for a romantic date, that's it.

I'm very sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the fondue experience we offer. We are very unique dining, and do realize that it's not always for everyone. Hopefully we'll still be able to see you back to enjoy our decadent chocolate fondue. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience with us.

A nice place to spend romantic evenings. We ordered mango lemonade, Wisconsin cheese fondue, and turtle Caramel chocolate fondue.
The lemonade was perfect, the accurate balanced taste of sour and sweet. 5/5
The cheese fondue comes with sides of bread cubes, apple, and vegetables. It was made of vegetables soup base because we ordered non alcoholic ones. It was fine but a little too salty to me. I wish if there are more options like grapes and Crackers to add to the side. 2/5
The chocolate fondue was very good! It came with sides of strawberry, pineapple, bond cake cubes, cookies cake cubes, ric crisp cubes, and Oreo marshmallow. It was perfect melted texture and contains pecan pieces. 5/5
We ordered a side of sea salted carmel cheesecake. It comes with side of cream puffs and berries. very creamy and gooey. I rate it 5/5
They make all fondues at your table, Which is disturbing because the garlic and spices smells will stick to your clothes. To me, it wasn't so romantic to go out wearing garlic perfume during a date night.
Maybe It might be better to bring a spare clothes to change after visiting the restaurant.
I might come back but for take out and chocolate fondues only.
