The Melting Pot - Farmingdale

The Melting Pot is our go-to celebratory locale.  We've never - yes, never - had a bad experience, and we've come here easily 20 times if not more.

The food is always outstanding, the wait staff always phenomenal, and the dessert always deserves its own separate mention.  In short, if you haven't had The Melting Pot, you are missing out on deliciousness that is as close to divinity as one can get barring ascension to a higher plane of consciousness.  You owe it to yourself to try it.

I have been here at least 5 times and it has been consistently good. We had Grace as a waitress this past time and she was excellent. I feel this restaurant deserves an extra shout out because my wife has celiac, and she is extremely sensitive to gluten. As such it is very difficult to find quality restaurants that can accommodate her. The melting Pot has lots of options for people that need Gluten free options.  Even the dessert options were really good!  I see people
Complaining about cooking times etc . First of all it's fondue lol. That's literally the point. So that's a dumb reason to leave bad review. Second of all they DO have a "cheat sheet" which is displayed on the table that gives you the cooking times for meat, poultry and seafood. Realllly not hard. And to leave a one star review because a place is closed? Equally as petty and not a fair review.

The service was excellent and very kind. It was my birthday and our first time at a Melting Pot Our waitress explained everything very well and was kind when asked for suggestions. We loved it A big Texas thank you to The Melting Pot!!!!

Appetizers and desserts were amazing! But the actual entree took forever and a day to come and then cooking everything was time consuming. If you have 3-4 hours to kill then order all 3 and have fun. Everything took too long for my liking. Also our waiter was MIA a lot.

We love coming here! We love getting the 4 course meal of cheese fondue, salads, assorted meats that you cook yourself at the table and finally a delicious chocolate fondue with unlimited dippers! Sometimes we even come for cocktails with the cheese and deserts. They have delicious cocktails. I wish I got better pictures but the food is so good that I couldn't even get a picture in before devouring it!

Poor service and extremely slow, and the whole experience of cooking table side was the worse, food was just blah!!! Overpriced for a few pieces of meat and veggies.

Came here for a double date over the weekend and had an absolute blast! First of all- we were that group with 3 out of 4 people with dietary restrictions and the servers were so awesome & accommodating about that!

The servers really all made the experience incredible to be honest. Not sure of their names but whoever was there Friday night was phenomenal!

As for the food- everything was great except the vegan cheese. As a vegan I can tell this isn't a high end non dairy cheese alternative. That's the only thing that could be improved upon- a cashew based cheese or a miyokos brand would be a million times better.

Otherwise everything was fantastic and I'm sure we will definitely all be returning! Thanks for a great meal and evening!

Love this place but it is a bit pricey considering you're cooking your own dinner.
Cheeses are delish with the veggies and breads to dip. Meat and fish are fresh, duck is my favorite. The desserts are awesome as well. It's hit or miss on how good your server is tho. No one has ever been rude or anything, just have had a couple that don't check on how things are going, ask for refills, that kinda thing. I will be going back for sure.

Yannoooo I hate to be that person but after a lackluster evening filled with bland vegetables and weird waffles I think it's kinda important for me to share my experience.

Before COVID I've been here a handful of times always pretty fun and good for cheese and chocolate fondue. My dinner partner had never been here. So I thought alright cool. We go and I felt so bad because it was a big let down.

The veggies were bland and some what tiny and not like they used to be. The bread I'm sorry as both of us are Italians we agreed some good crusty bread would be great but not here. Bread almost reminiscent of being in the fridge too long.

Our server wasn't the greatest but when the manager came over and asked if we wanted more dippers during dessert and basically said no thanks and when he asked us how everything was and we both said "alright." He kinda just basically scurried off without saying another word.

Sorry but after this experience we both agreed we won't be back.

The cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue are amazing! However, their entrees are just not worth the price. I tried the all meat entree with the wine sauce and it wasn't all that great. On the other hand, the drinks were very good and the waitress was super nice!
