The Melting Pot

We've been back to Melting Pot multiple times. My pre teen even wanted his Birthday dinner there where he told our server he was 35 years old and she played along all night.
We've overall had many wonderful experiences here and I wanted to update my review to reflect this.  
I highly recommend for a fun night with the family and probably the only place we go where my brat eats his veggies

We went here for an anniversary dinner. Making a reservation was beneficial, got there early and we were seated quickly. This place is truly a dining experience.
I remember when it first opened.
The food is delicious and well presented.
Because you are cooking your own food is makes you slow down and enjoy it more. The staff was very friendly and informative. Even added some special touches to our evening.
A bit pricey but, definitely worth the experience!

This place is perfect for date night! The kids went to grandmas for a sleep over so the husband and I went out for dinner just the two of us. We decided last minute and wasn't sure if they had any reservations left. We logged on their website and was able to easily reserve a table.
We got the four course dinner for two. Started with Wisconsin cheddar cheese fondue with unlimited dips. Then we got our salad. Great portion size salads. Our main course we chose the big night out option. It had Premium Filet Mignon, Teriyaki-Marinated Sirloin, Herb-Crusted Chicken Breast, Shrimp, Atlantic Salmon, Wild Mushroom Sacchetti. Each and every one was absolutely delicious. We were stuffed up to our throats but ofcourse had to eat some of our dessert. We went with the yin and yang chocolate fondue. Our server even brought out chocolate dipped strawberries! She was so fun and kind and made our experience even better.

We called for a reservation and got an hour before closing, and were there 2 hours past closing getting the 4 course meal with music shut off and them vacuuming around us.  They were sending out the orders rapid fast when they saw us slowing down but it still is a 3 hour time commitment between heating up the dips and cooking your protein.  Go hungry, there's so much to eat.  The baked potato fondue for the apps was amazing though and will get that again next time.  Very expensive though in my opinion.  4 people came to almost $400 and I already offered to pay for the celebration before getting the bill.

We love the Melting Pot but since the Rochester one closed we haven't been to one for over a year. This one is in Buffalo at the Galleria Mall. Their protocol since COVID worked very well. They no longer mix your cheese, cooking base or oil or the chocolate. All come warm with all seasonings added to the table for the final heating. Food was all very fresh, steak and chicken lean and delicious as usual! Cheeses and fresh bread chunks, apples and veggies fresh. The spacing was good and plexiglass was up in between the booths. My main course and salad pics didn't come out. Fortunately the cheese and dessert fondues did! We had Flaming Turtle fondue and Dulce Chocolate. So good and we left so full! I think we only left a couple of pieces of pound cake!
We will make the drive again in a couple of months!

The Melting Pot offers an experience everyone should try at least once in their life!

I've never had a fondue-style meal before, so I was curious to see how it would work outside of the melted chocolate dessert most people are familiar with.

Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the ins and outs of the menu for us. We opted to start with the quattro formaggio cheese pot. The cheese itself was pretty flavorful, a lot thinner than I was expecting which is a good thing. I really enjoyed dipping the cauliflower and the breads!

We opted for the court bouillon style for our meats. I built my own meat plate, choosing the filet mignon, herb crusted chicken, and shrimp. I liked the chicken and the shrimp, but the filet was not my favorite. Personally, I just like my steak prepared other ways, like on a grill! I really enjoyed the vegetables they served with the meats.

The dessert is what stole the show. The dippers are delicious and the chocolate is very rich. I highly recommend the waffles they give you to dip!

It is definitely expensive to eat here, I wouldn't say you get a lot of bang for your buck either. But regardless, I think everyone should try it once, and I'm glad I got the chance to!

Came here to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary.  Our server was very friendly and explained how everything worked.  We had a nice private corner area to ourselves.  Enjoyed four courses.  I was impressed with the sesame crusted tuna, really delicious!  I don't think I've ever had real tuna before.  Filet was quality as well.  Ended our experience with flaming turtle chocolate.  Nice variety of morsels to dip in it!

Yikes, unfortunately here we go again with the melting pot. My mom called and made a reservation for my birthday, and asked that we be able to book the private room since it was seven of us and the party included a baby. Babies getting fussy in restaurants, And we wanted to be accommodating to other guest. (Fussy baby in a confined space) My parents arrived first at which time they were made aware that the room was booked, which they were not made of aware of during the reservation booking process. I then arrived  just a few minutes after that, at which time I heard the manager and the host  discussing A "problem" at the table, And then Jim stated that they would just put a high chair there once he saw that I was in that party. The "problem" was that they should not have been putting a large amount of people at a table that only holds a certain amount of people., And they also knew it was dangerous to put a baby at the end of a table in which they bring boiling liquids over head, not just your standard meals. Our waitress Rachel was absolutely Amazing, and if it were not for her we would have left. We really try to make it work,'because we all  wanted to have an enjoyable experience! The fact that they put a party of seven with a baby, at a table that typically holds a party of four or five is downright appalling. Not to mention hot food is constantly being brought over our babies head!! We barely got to finish our meal before needing to leave and taking the test to go. The reason we constantly give melting pot another try is because it's a family favorite, when my husband and I came in September, during the reopening we had an amazing experience, and our accommodations were met when we requested a private room. However this time we weren't made aware until we arrived. The manager Jim, nor the assistant came to our table not Once,
Jim walked past at least 10 times and would not even make eye contact, He wore a blue shirt and the other manager wore a coral/ orange shirt.

With a $285 bill, we could've atleast been asked how our meal was?!! Every single time I've been to the melting pot I've had a manager ask about my meal, which has been over 40 times since they've been open.I will NOT be contacting the restaurant, because it's the same song and dance with them each time. If the managers and Host get it right the first time, It could make for an easier experience.  As a family we agreed we would not be returning, because this time was unforgivable and dangerous. I will include pictures from our September experience, unfortunately due to tonight's experienced we were unable to capture any.

We love the Melting Pot! We have never had a bad experience there. We typically go around noon on weekends and it is never busy. I always make a reservation, just to be on the safe side.

I'm the WORST with names so I cannot recall our server's name today. He was very friendly and attentive. The GM also swung by to make sure we were enjoying our meal.

We are so glad that they are back open!! Can't wait to go back again! Most definitely one of our favorite places!!

We haven't been to the melting pot in a long time. My mom saw on facebook that they were doing a special on Wednesdays $29.99 per person for a cheese fondue, salad, and a dessert fondue. I absolutely love this deal. My family and I are not big fans of the meat fondue so it was no biggie for us. We picked the Wisconsin Cheese fondue and it was FABULOUS! It was so yummy we cleaned the pot out. Our salads were also fantastic! It came with their garlic wine seasoning and we loved it, so much that we bought a bottle of the seasoning for home. Finally we ordered the the Flaming Turtle fondue which was very tasty. I definitely recommend the melting pot, although it is a little pricey it is definitely worth it. And even though we didn't get the meat fondue we all left with full bellies.
