Pre-Covid I worked around the corner from the restaurant and my coworkers raves about the Melting Pot so it took a few years to finally visit :)
Took the family out to celebrate my dads birthday. Our waitress was amazing and was with us at each step of the cooking process and recommended cooking styles based on everyone's choices. We are all had a great time and most likely we will be coming back again.
The portions was just perfect (again because our waitress was amazing and recommended to not overdue it etc).
Overall great experience!

Came here with my nephew to check the restaurant out as we hadn't been in years. Lexi, our waitress, was absolutely amazing and she is definitely going to be the one I ask for next time I'm back.
We came on a Wednesday and ordered from the Best Fondue Friends Forever menu, which we had to ask for specially. We had the classic alpine to start, which came with Prosciutto, Summer Sausage, French Baguette, Pretzel Bread, Honey Wheat Bread, and seasonal veggies and fruit.
We both had the caprese salad which was a little heavy on the Balsamic. Next time, I'll try the California salad.
For our entrée, we had Filet Mignon, teriyaki-Marinated Steak, Shrimp, and herb-Crusted Chicken Breast. It also came with veggies and 6 sauces. The filet, steak, salmon, and shrimp were good! The chicken was a bit too salty for my taste. We cooked the entrée in the mojo broth.
We were too full from the first 3 courses that we took the dessert home.
Cate, one of the owners, stopped by to check in and see if we needed anything, which I thought was kind.

We used to come here all the time, despite the drive (1.5 hours) and the price (very high). It's our son's favorite restaurant. We went back for his 10th birthday last night for the first time since Covid, and are so sad to see that the restaurant is not what it once was.
We were served by a waitress who seemed bored and tired. She would ask us if needed anything, then never return with our requests (we had to ask another server for our requested refills on water, napkins, and a missing plate). She did come back once to say, "I think you asked me for something, but I forgot what it was."
The young man who came to carry away the cheese course stacked the hot, boiling-water pots directly on the table right in front of our 10 year old son, shoving our son's dirty silverware into his lap to do so (just the steaming pots, not the carry-braces they are supposed to use to move the pots). My husband was so terrified of our son being scalded by the leaning tower of steaming water pans, he reached over and nearly burned his hand moving the pots to safety, all while the young man ignored the issue, left our scalding broth and then scooped up the cheese pots in sloshing-fashion like there wasn't still steam coming from them and people in range. Maybe the issue is that he was listening to his airpods while clearing our table? Not sure, but we also found that rather off-putting in an "I don't really care, so don't try to get my attention" kind of way. The manager was called and we were offered a brief, curt apology by the young man, who thankfully did not support our table again, with no other comment, and no further check-in by the manager to see if we were content with the curt apology. We were livid and nearly left, but for not wanting to spoil our son's trip to his birthday choice restaurant.
Our table was never wiped down or completely cleared between courses; when the bill came, the waitress shoved aside dirty plates and silverware that had been sitting there since cheese in order to find room for the bill folder. The chocolate pots were set onto burners that still had cheese spills cooking onto them. When she brought our son's little birthday candle on a piece of cake, it had tipped over and gotten kind of flattened by the other dessert items, but she just righted it with her fingers and served it to him anyway... About this point, my husband started calling the outing "the voyage of the damned."
The food was okay, but somewhat scarce. We used to leave this place stuffed, but this time we had half a pot of chocolate left over with nothing left to dip into it, and the birthday boy was eating chocolate by itself with his fork. We were not asked if we wanted anything else to dip, just presented with a $300+ bill for a family of three adults and two kids. It seems the prices may have gone up, too - we have never paid that much for a meal, much less for service that was at best rude and messy, and at worst, nearly a trip to the ER.
We used to love you guys, Melting Pot. But you've lost our trust, sadly.

The food was pretty good. I wouldn't be able to give it a 5 star for the food. But the experience was great! Our server was super friendly and helpful explaining everything to us as it was our first time. I would say go for the experience of being able to try fondue type food and of course the fondue chocolate desserts Still good food and experience overall.

We decided to celebrate a birthday at Melting Pot. We decided to have a cheese fondue, entree and chocolate fondue. The cheese fondue was bitter too a point that we had to ask our server to replace it. Although we got a new one but there was hardly any change and we took few small bites before we decided not to eat cheese fondue. Moreover, i expected a better quality and variety of bread that is served with fondue. I felt like i was served with a $1 pretzel bread. Surely a waste of money. By this time we already had spent 40 minutes at the table and were out of enthusiasm and super hungry.
Garden pot entree was okay and chocolate fondue was good. I have no complaints for the server since she was trying her best. Waste of time, energy and money.

Hi Ravi,
Thank you for taking the time to post a comment on both Yelp and Google+ for us. We always appreciate knowing if there are ways we can improve things. As I mentioned on your google review and to your friend who also posted, I would definitely be happy to chat with you about what cheese you had that evening so I can understand why it was bitter. If you could please give me a call at (781) 791-0529 I would appreciate it.
Thank you!

Long story short ...lol just kidding.
Date night, friends dinner, anniversary or just got to get your self some fondue...this place offers a deal for 2, want a bang for your buck? That's the offer you want! If you have never been to a All you can eat Korean bbq or Hot Pot then please be advise that you HAVE TO COOK YOUR OWN FOOD! That's part of the experience, don't complain about it later. If you eat like a pig then this is def not for you, come and enjoy a mixture of seafood, chicken, steak and pork with a little cheese fondue and amazing deserts. 5 course meal for 2 under $100 (yes they charge extra for add on's)
Something i notice is:
the gluten free substitutes
Private dining areas for 2
Full bar and amazing cocktail options
Due to covid, you need reservations and the last one is at 7:30pm with a 90min dining limit (due to current ordinance) they are taking precautions to maintain a level of sanitation required by the state.
Again!!!!! Prepare to cook your own food! Enjoy the experience and thank me later!

Dessert and Apps were amazing!! So yummy. The main meal is fun and an experience but it's definitely not the same as ordering a grilled steak or chicken since it is boiled. Our server was awesome and drinks were really fun and different too! Highly recommend coming here. Show up hungry.

Hi Erin!
Thank you so much for the great review!! If you are not a huge fan of the Entree cooking style in the Fondue Pot, we do have our cast iron grill, which gives you more of the grilled meat taste and texture. Try it next time you are in and let us know what you think.
Thank you!

One of my favorite restaurants, worth the price and if on a date the meal for two package is perfect. Also have great drinks, loved the rosé sangria. Can be slow service, but they're usually very busy.

Hi Kelsey!
Thank you very much for the wonderful review! We do apologize if you felt the service had slowed down a bit. We have been, along with every other restaurant, been desperately trying to hire more staff, so hopefully that will improve in the near future. We hope to see you again soon!

This is the only place I have ever been to where I had to apologize to my guests afterwards.
We had a reservation but were told to wait outside because of covid regulations, understandable. Then 3 separate parties were allowed to walk in ahead of us and wait inside. We waited in the cold for 15 minutes before sitting. It then took 20 minutes to get water. The cheese course came out room temp and, even on the heater, stayed room temp. Our waitress disappeared despite us asking for her and after a total of 90 minutes we didn't get our food. It's served raw by the way so I simply don't know how that happened.
Do not come here, they are facing problems they simply haven't been able to resolve yet.
