Perfect spot for an occasion dinner! It's definitely an expensive night out, but for a special date it's such a great experience. We were seated in a very intimate booth, where we couldn't see other customers and they couldn't see us. Great for a romantic night!
Our server was great - she explained the menu to us (cook your own food at your table - one cook top for the two of us to share meant that we needed to select the same cheese, cooking broth and chocolate fondue). Drinks were brought out very quickly along with the first fondue course. Our server also makes all of the fondue courses in front of you - really cool to watch!
We started with the Alpine cheese fondue and it came with mostly bread for dipping, along with apples, and some veggies. The bread was by far our favorite dipper. We easily finished off all of the cheese. We also got salads with the meal, both were good, the classic and the California salad (a little heavy on the dressing, but great salad toppings). We got the Pacific Rim and the Land and Sea entrees with the red wine/mushroom broth. The proteins brought out were great - and really nicely flavored, plus potatoes and other veggies that came with were a good touch. SOOO Many sauces came with the entree - so it was really fun to try out a bunch of different flavor combinations. Finally, the dessert fondue - we got the turtle which was very good. The fruit dippers were great, but some good sweet dippers too with the marshmallows and Rice Krispies!
I could only get through a few pieces of protein each before I started to get full, and luckily dessert looked so tasty otherwise i might not have been able to eat anymore. This is a LOT of food. Come prepared to eat a good meal!!

Get the Candy Bar chocolate fondue and you wont be upset! That was the highlight of the meal for my family and I!
We got the cheese, salad, entrée, and dessert for each one of us. The cheese fondue was great and the favorite at the table was the one with pesto and tomatoes added in. The entrée was a good amount of meat for each person. When we first got served our meats, we thought it was too little, however it was just enough to not make us feel overfull for dessert. We got the Milk Chocolate desert fondue for a basic one and the Candy Bar chocolate fondue for a more adventure out. Hands down the Candy Bar fondue was the highlight of the entire meal!
Our waitress was very kind and personable. She was very easy to talk to and every cracked a few jokes with us while explaining what was in each fondue pot.

I have gone to this melting pot with my cousin several time when visiting family in Wisconsin. We both love this place. But what's not to love. We always get all 4 courses. I usually get the same thing every time. Caesar salad, Wisconsin cheddar cheese (This time with got the alpine), land and sea meat w/ coq au vin cooking style, and the flaming turtle. Let's face it, it's fun to light your food on fire! Ha! We had no negative experiences during our visits.

Melting pot is always fun, but the food is always just OK. Â I guess there is only so much you can do with fondue but some of the food really isn't good. Hard to justify the price just for some fun so we only visit once every year or two.
If it was more affordable we would go more often and I feel like it could be. Serving size versus price is kind of ridiculous especially when the quality of food is good but not great.
Fantastic service as always.

I've taken my wife here twice for our anniversary, and we absolutely love this restaurant! I have always loved fondue cooking, so I find this restaurant to be a lot of fun, while still providing a classy atmosphere for its guests!
There are many different selections and combos you can pick from here. On our last visit, my wife and I went all out, getting one of the top tier seafood dinners for two. This included a cheese fondue, the main course which consists of an assortment of meats and seafood, vegetables and potato's, and a dessert fondue that included an assortment of fresh fruit, pastry's and cheese cakes!! Yum, with a side of yum!!
They also feature a wide selection of delicious martinis!
If you looking to step outside the box of your every day dining experience, then you definitely need to give this place a try! Great environment for a get together with friends, or a romantic night with your special someone.

I've been to several different Melting Pot locations all over the country, and while I love the food and fondue, unfortunately the Appleton location is the worst one I've been to. It's not AWFUL and cheesy fondue is never bad, but often times service is slow (which isn't great for an already long meal) and I find the sides (especially the bread that goes w/ the cheese) tastes stale. I wish they'd elevate to the service and quality of other locations and then this would be 5 star.

Always a fun time at the Melting Pot!
I had to save up my calories in order to fully enjoy my meal and it was worth it!
Food was good as always and the dessert was absolutely sinful!
Customer service was good, nothing special to note here but we were well taken care of.
Note to the person who created the tables at Melting Pot who obviously was never a server: please create a situation where the server does not have to lean over hot burners in order to serve food? Our server was ingenious and created a switching system but I believe that should have been taken into account. After all, it is the center of your business!
Overall, very satisfied and very full!

Just don't. I hate writing bad reviews, but the service is incredibly slow, no one is very friendly. Â The worst thing is there is no imagination whatsoever in the food. Seriously, none at all! Â The website looks good, but it's actually plain and kind of dirty inside. It's expensive for fondue and a total waste of money. I thought the atmosphere might be romantic and I'd give extra stars for that, but it's not. I would never go back here.

I've been here about 5 times over the last 4 years for special occasions and this review is a compilation of all visits.
Atmosphere: The parking lot is kind of tight. I prefer to take an uber or lyft ride here and not deal with the hassle. It is very dark inside, I think they are going for intimate/romantic, but it kind of comes off as divey. I believe most of the restaurant is booths, a few tables here and there scattered throughout. The tables are always wiped down nice and clean. The bathrooms are a whole different animal. I literally try NOT to drink water or beverages with my meal in fear of having to use their facilities. Water everywhere, stalls a mess, wastebasket overflowing, and they need to consider cleaning the toilets DURING business hours, not just after. I have used the bathrooms 3 of the 5 visits and it was pure horror, be prepared to hover girls.
Service: A reservation is a must. We've had reservations every time and two of the five occasions we still had up to a 45 minute wait (which to be honest is pretty disrespectful of your customers time). The servers are hit or miss, we've had some really amazing ones that make the night beyond memorable. Then we've had others that seem like they just rolled out of bed and they couldn't manage making a bowl of cereal, nonetheless they are attempting to dole out a 4 course meal.
Drinks: They have a splendid drink selection, but their menu for it is all jacked up. I believe there are two different menus for drinks? One at the table and one at the bar. So make sure you look over everything before ordering. I really enjoy the "Air Mail" mixer. (1 star)
Food: I mean, it's fondue, who doesn't like to dunk things into chocolate and cheese. I don't really care for their "endless" policy. It's like why not just serve more up front? I guess it saves on food waste, but when I ask for more of something to be brought to the table, it'd be great if it wasn't like, two pieces. They do have a nice selection of items for each course to choose from, even if the menu is a bit confusing. (1 star)
Price: To avoid an inevitable bill of $100+ cut back on drinks and opt out of the entree course. We usually get a salad, cheese course and dessert course and are still plenty full.
Overall it's a fun adventure if you've never been to a fondue restaurant before, but I really wish they would up their management game and make this place as amazing as it could be.

Went to the melting pot for the first time today, our server Ariana(sorry if the name is spelled wrong) was amazing! She was so helpful and explained everything so well. The food came out in a timely fashion and was AMAZING. I ordered the classic and everything on it was so tasty. I definitely will be back!
