The Low-Key Poke Joint

Best poke in Riverside 100%, they have a green tea rice that is to die for. The fish always feel fresh, they have a really good hot sauce (I lava you). The teas are also really delicious, staff is very friendly. Super cool interior.

It is very hard to find a good poke place in riverside that I actually like.

Found this place and it's probably my go to, if I feel like getting a good poke bowl! The bowl comes out packed to the top, fish quality is not bad, free toppings, sauces! Worth the price.

Ambiance is alright not very decorative but spacious!

Taste was good and the sauces good. Service was ok. I found a piece of plastic in my bowl. Brought it to the counter The employee didn't know why I was bringing her the plastic. Than she took it from me and threw it out

Hope they remember to do a better job inspecting the food after they prepare it to remove any ingredient bag pieces

Portions are huge, and although it's not on the electronic menu, for protein options, they have salmon belly in addition to the normal cuts of salmon. Not too crowded for lunch on weekends and plenty of parking.

Listen, I live 40 min away from this place but I don't care. This poke spot is so good I will make the drive! Everyone here is so friendly! Definitely need to check it out!

definitely not the best Poké spot I've been to. They barely have any options regarding toppings but I will give it to them. The portions are pretty big. I enjoyed my proteins, which tasted very fresh. However, 3/4 into my bowl. I noticed a hair in my food, but just didn't say anything because I already ate majority of the bowl and because the girl that helped me was kind of rude so I just didn't feel like saying anything.

I was going to give this place 3 stars for the following reasons:

1. The salmon is cut up so thick you only get like 4 pieces of it in a scoop.

2. They have crab meat and avocado as a protein option, which means the avocado is free, BUT it takes away from how many scoops of fish you get. This is an issue because of concern #1. I'm used to crab meat being free as a side that you order with the veggies and sauces.

3. My request for medium sauce of shoyu was more like a heavy and it was just too overpowering.

Why I have 4 stars:

The poke rice and sauce tasted better on the second day. The fish was fresh and delicious. They were generous by giving me like two more pieces of salmon when I asked and didn't make it a hassle. Because of that I tipped for my to go order. Everything was really good.

I was very intrigued to try the low key poke joint again since the last time I came here was at least 5 years ago. Their booTEA and Hula rice was okay but I don't think I would go for it again. The colour of the bootea rice was bright neon green and it was kinda off putting and was not what I was expecting. Quality of the fish was mid and some bites did not taste good. They charge for extra sauce if you get more than 2 and also for avocado. I wasn't mad but I don't think I'd return here either.
