The Landing

I took my husband and two friends for dinner and music for a celebration of my husband liver transplant. After we ate and paid we were asked to go to lower level for music. I explained my husband was handicapped and he could not do stairs. Then the head hostess came back with security and asked us to leave!!!! There were many empty tables so it couldn't have been they needed to seat more people. It was the hostess she was rude and wanted to make a point. My husband is Vietnam veteran who because of agent orange expose became very ill This place does Not Care about Veterans or handicapped it is truly a place people should not go to there are many other options here in Van Buren to choose from!!!!!

We stayed here for our 43rd anniversary in august. We brought our own kayaks and had to pay as much as a rental to have them shuttled. Seems like a lot with the room
Rate for a single king. Building was brand new but I wouldn't say it was anything noteworthy. There is one closet but no hangers or hooks anYwhere. One shelf that you can set luggage on. Lamp on side table for seating area was unusable as the chain in the switch was gone. Bedside lamps are absolutely out of reach when you are in bed. Refrigerator is adequate but no freezer. Ice for rooms is located in the gift shop so when they aren't open you are out of luck. Hard floors are great but housekeeping needs to be more thorough in getting the sand up. An outside hose would be great to wash sand off before entering rooms. No rugs anywhere we had to use bath mat to brush feet off before getting in bed. The shower curtain was about two feet too long, which was very annoying the first night, but they did replace it for our second night. Coffee cups were too small to accommodate the Keurig machine so if you don't choose correct amount of water you will have a mess.
No phone in the room. Overall, for the price I think they could have had more amenities. Like nicer coffee cups and maybe a couple wine glasses. There were no utensils of any kind.

DO NOT RENT from this company!!! We rented 4 rafts over two days. On day two, one raft was running out of air before we even started. There was no way to reach anyone so we had to tow the raft the entire trip. We asked for a refund and they refused!!!! They claimed it worked perfectly after they aired it up properly (at the end of our trip!!!) and insinuated I was lying. They offered a gift card instead of doing what's clearly right here and providing a refund. I'm never coming back. You should rent quality gear elsewhere.

It was nice but I didn't like feeling like the owners were cheap on the amenities such as tiny soap, no ice, hair dryer, etc. I'd rather pay a few dollars more per night and have amenities in the room that make me feel like a real guest. Restaurant was great.

The only good thing about this place is the food. It looks good but rudeness, uncleanliness, maids that steal your clothing & don't clean the rooms & uncomfortable beds is what your dealing with. The only people who leave good reviews will be from Missouri & are probably paid to do so. Try Eminence. OH & WE HAD THE SUITE which was supposed to be the best. HA. Lock your clothing in your car.!!!!! The mother of a kid we took with us said her son was missing clothes as well. The tube rental folks - Well one lady was nice but the rest were rude. Texting on the phone as we waited in the hot sun when we were waiting to pay. We will not give them a 3rd chance. We gave them a second & had the same issues. AVOID Until NEW MANAGEMENT OR PERHAPS A NEW OWNER WHO TRULY CARES.

Would give this place five stars except the room had a lot of ladybugs in it, which honestly is normal for the area, but still grosses me out. BUT ... other than that, I thought the rooms and stay were lovely. We were there for my sister's wedding and the owners were generous and thoughtful. It was when the river was flooded, but before the hotel flooded. And I'm sure they were stressed, but they still had great customer service for our family and wedding party. We did not go to the restaurant, so I'm not able to give a review of that, though I hear only good things about it.
