Came here on a Friday night. Ordered food to go. Bartender quoted us 20 minutes for to go food. Came back in 20 minutes. Stated it wasn't ready. Came back again in 10 minutes told it wasn't ready & it was another 15 minutes. When it was ready they forgot the salad so we had to wait for that to be made. Got home & side salad is lettuce, tomatoes, croutons & a sprinkle of cheese, nachos were so soggy. Baked potato was cooked & reheated multiple times & so brown it was terrible! Steak was cooked correctly & my son did like his burger. Kids meal was a good size but nothing was offered for the terrible
& incorrect wait time on food. Not sure we will be back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 24, 2018
After reading many many reviews about the wings here I decided to purchase a groupon and head out to Fairport for lunch. It's a little hard to find I drove right by. When walking in no one greets you, which was odd. I had to decide whether I should just sit down or wait for a host. This is definitely a local hole in the wall bar. The staff was very friendly. ( even though eyes were rolled because I had a groupon) and the food was hot and came out quick. We ordered the loaded nachos. The portion was HUGE. But man were they good. The mozzarella sticks were very good as well. And the wings were definitely some of the best in Rochester. They were so good.
If I were to be in the area and go back I definitely want to try a burger they had a very nice selection of those.
Also when reading the menu they have specials every day of the week. For example: burger mondays , taco Tuesdays , 65 cent wings on Thursday. I cant remember the rest but it was interesting.
The bar seemed very well stocked and had many varieties .
If your in the area you should check out The Landing.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam O.Rochester, NY07May 9, 2022
Terrible service. The bartender was too busy gossiping at the bar to be bothered with taking a order.

not impressed since new management took over food quality and portions lacking. Draft beer is smaller and a dollar more I will travel the extra couple miles to go somewhere else

I went last night to see a band play. The band was EXCELLENT. The place itself, I was told, just went under new ownership. This place is a good dive bar. It's in a strip and there is ample parking behind it and street parking out front. Inside you'll find lights strung along the ceiling, a pool table, and a decent amount of seating as well as the bar area. There are TVs up with sports on them giving the bar a good warmth when you walk in.
The bar tender was great as she was pretty much working the whole place. Of course I was there on a Wednesday evening, so there wasn't much traffic in there. She got us our beers at the bar and then she came to where we were sitting to find out if we wanted to order any food letting us know the kitchen was about to close. I think this was around 9:30pm so be aware that during the week it does close fairly early and isn't a good spot for late night eats. There was a decent selection of craft beers on tap as well as a good selection of bottled beers.
Our table ordered wings and two orders of fried pickles. I only had the pickles and they were nothing I'd write home about. They were pretty soggy and oily. There were not crispy like I like them at all. The restaurant was out of mayo so they couldn't make the normal sauce you have with it so we opted to have Ranch as our side. I'd be willing to give the food another chance since the menu did look to have some other options that sounded good.
It looks like a nice place to hangout and grab a beer. Being in the heart of fairport though I think there are better places you could go for food and drinks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ryan M.Rochester, NY04Dec 15, 2021

My lady and I had dinner at the Landing on Sunday July 4th,2021. We hade the 12 oz steak and shrimp. The steak was great , no fat at all, pefert cut for both of us. The shrimp was good too. The place has a down- to earth atmosphere, welcome all , be yourself. The price was affordable and serive was good. Looking forward going backk soon. The guys who sat in back of us, I think 5 or six,big guys ,not one curse word in front of my lady, real cool place. Bikers in there cool too. Cant wait to go back.

We like the Landing a lot. May not seem like a family place but we bring the kids here for dinner pretty regularly. Good fingers and fries, wings, mozzarella sticks, etc for the kids. My wife says they make a good burger, frizzled onions and bacon, and have lots of sandwiches and wraps that are tasty (High Plains Drifter is really good). We love the wait staff here too, lots of tattoos and piercings, but don't be intimidated, they are all really nice. This isn't fine dining, but if you're looking for simple bar food in Fairport this is a good bet.
