The Joint Chiropractic

My partner was experiencing some lower back pain for several days. A friend of hers shared that she has routine appointments with her chiropractor to help keep her body performing at optimal function. I accompanied my partner to her first visit.
The Alexandria location is pretty small, yet tidy. There was only one chiropractor on site... Dr. Jordan, who was swift friendly. He definitely had his days work cut out l, seeing each patient averaging around 6 minutes at a time. He was kind and patient with our questions. He did a brief assessment and then manipulated my cervical and lumbar vertebrae as I heard the crepitus (popping sounds) being released. I did leave feeling pretty good, feeling light. My partner said her back pain sustained. I learned that you don't need to be injured or have some kind of chronic pain to see a practitioner. You can see them for preventative and maintenance care as well

This place is ok, gets the job done if you need instant relief but nothing spectacular. The most annoying part of any visit is the constant push to upsell you packages, etc. I've repeatedly told them I do not want a package yet they ALWAYS try to harass me into purchasing them. I will not be returning simply because I don't want to have to explain why I don't want a package every single time I visit.

They just kind of crack your back and neck. No personalized service after the first visit and they get you to sign up and pay. After you sign up and pay they quickly crack your back when you come in without asking any questions most of the time. Like an assembly line.

If you just need your back cracked on a weekly basis or whatever, go for it. But if you're looking for a personalized care for your back pain I wouldn't bother.

This place is a joke! They have you sign up for a monthly membership and give you the run around and won't cancel when you ask them to. No one seems to have the answers and they don't want to admit their wrong doings.

I walked in, advised of my issues, completed the necessary paperwork and was sent back to adjustment table 3. The chiropractor barely looked over my paperwork, asked what the issues were, and began adjusting me. I attempted to explain what had worked for me in the past but he didn't listen. After three spot adjustments (neck, mid-back and lower back), he exclaimed I was done. He didn't ask any follow up questions. Declared I've never been adjusted before because was I tight everywhere. I explained I had in fact been adjusted but it had been just over a month. No follow up to my comments. This place is a joke.

Charged me for six months of unused visited after signing me up for a membership that they didn't cancel when I requested them to.

I decided to give this place a try after a friend of mine raves about it. The first time I went in I was concerned about neck pain and headache. The Chiropractor was so rude and so un empathetic towards the pain I was feeling. I did not feel taken care of at ALL. He gave me a quick half assed adjustment and sent me on my way. I work out and I started feeling a pinching sensation in on my lower back ear my spine. I decided to give this place another try as I had a better idea as to what pain I was feeling. Again, I had the same experience with this chiropractor. He asked what I was feeling, told him and AGAIN he had the most non compassionate attitude towards me. He didn't address what could potentially be going with my back. Just gave me a quick adjustment asked if I was feeling better. I told him "no" thinking he would try another adjustment or do something different but nope. All he said was "I would go see a physical therapist"

I will not be going back here. As someone who also works in the healthcare field I would of expected more.

My last adjustment was very rushed and uncomfortable. I was almost thrown off the table during the stretches and it was not a personable experience. I will be looking to visit other locations in the area. This location has so much potential because of its location but i looks like the reviews reign true.

I have been to other Joint locations where I've had great experiences (especially at the joint in Owings mills, md Dr. DeCarlo is phenomenal), but at this location I had a negative experience. The receptionist didn't acknowledge me when I came in; she was in a personal conversation that went on for awhile until I said excuse me and asked to be seen (there had been a free Dr. since I walked in. My adjustment was 2 seconds long & seemed rushed. There wasn't exactly a spirit of friendliness; customer service was severely lacking.

First, I have mostly had interactions with Jordan.  He has honestly been more helpful than any physician I have seen.  I was scared to death to let anyone touch me after an extremely painful back injury a couple years ago.  He listened to me, HEARD ME, and has just went the extra step to help me get some relief.  He is very knowledgeable and passionate; and it shows in every visit with him.  

I am so grateful for his expertise, drop-bedside manner, and all the great suggestions to get me feeling better.

I saw another doctor here, petite dark-haired woman.  I felt so much better after my visit with her.  She was straightforward and kind and definitely knows her stuff!!!  I could tell immediately that she cared about me feeling better.  You don't always feel that these days with healthcare providers.  Great asset to the company.
