Wanted a quick and delicious brunch with the girls. Found the hive. Did not disappoint. I will say it doesn't give off overly trendy, cute vibes. Still feels more like a diner trying to be trendy and cute. The waitstaff was awesome and the food was definitely quality.
I basically got some type of loaded biscuits and gravy. You better believe I ate every last bite. It was extremely tasty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 1124731357Jan 29, 20241 check-in
I've had The Hive Eatery on my list of breakfast places to try for a while now, and I finally had the chance to check it out. The food was solid, but not spectacular. I tried the honey chicken biscuit, and I would eat that again. My tablemates tried the loaded biscuits and gravy and a fried chicken breakfast. I should have tried the gravy so I would know for sure, but it didn't look homemade to me, and that is a critical part of a good breakfast in my opinion. Again, I had no complaints about my experience, but nothing stood out too much to me.

The shrimp and grits are a must. Lots of shrimp engulfed in creamy grits which are cooked perfectly. If you've never tried them, you've got to try it here.
Service was on point and always there when we needed more tea or coffee.
Quaint restaurant with not a lot of seating, but worth the wait.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 2, 2023
Food was average. Everything tasted average. We had scrambled eggs, overdone outside but a tiny bit underdone inside. Instead of scrambled they came out like a solid omelette might. The over medium eggs were perfectly done, the hash browns were average. The bacon was raved about. Sausage was average. The oatmeal was very tasty.
Service was slow. Courteous but slow.
Ambiance was meh. The TVs keep your mind off the surroundings. But they really need to amp up the restrooms. They need a huge update as the previous tenant left them in sad shape.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jun 26, 2023
Such a nice little eatery!
Have good options to choose from.
They even have a "not so hungry" section if you are in fact not so hungry. They have a pick 3 and pick 4 options as well if you wanted to customize. Not a huge space so depending on the size of your party you may have to wait . We had a party of 6 (4 adults, 2 children) and we were able to be seated immediately. Kinda luck of the draw really depending on how many had the same idea to eat at the same time lol. I got the pick 3 with waffle (+$2) eggs and bacon. I loved the waffle cooked very well! The eggs and bacon wasn't anything to rave about - but decent. Had good service. Many of my friends ordered the chicken and waffles and it looked really good.
No alcoholic drinks here. They do offer coffee, cold brew, orange + apple juice, milk, water etc.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca B.Austin, TX115Feb 25, 2024
Frozen potatoes, boxed gravy. The biscuit was good I thought, but my husband didn't like it. I got the Campfire plate. I did not like it. My husband got the hamburger breakfast. The hamburger was big, and tasted pretty good. Coffee was good, tea (not the bottled one) was not. Service was prompt. Ambiance was ok. We aren't planning on coming back.

TLDR- flavorful food, good, local vibe. Friendly staff. Vegan impossible sausage available
My first time at the Hive was delicious & well worth it. My friends & I went around 9:30 on a Saturday & there was no wait. We sat ourselves & the waitress came quickly to take our drink orders. The coffee was warm & fresh, which is always a plus.
I ordered the western burrito (sub sausage instead of ham) with a side of fruit. The burrito was flavorful & folded correctly, nothing spilled out.
My friend ordered the ham & cheese omelette with a side of potatoes & a biscuit & gravy. The potatoes were evenly crispy &
I wish the burrito came with an extra side option of toast or biscuit & gravy as well but that's only available with the omelette. The omelette was standard but delicious as well.
The portions are generous & prices are
I'm excited to try it again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brooks J.Spring, TX1434Jun 24, 2023
The server was fantastic! He was so friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The food was delicious and fresh! We ordered the Chicken biscuit. It was flaky and the chicken was moist and meaty! The honest was the perfect touch'

Omg! This is our first time here, recommended from a server at a different restaurant. They said to try the honey butter bbq biscuit and it did NOT disappoint! I got the pick 4 breakfast, my roommate the biscuits- and our server Dakota did a fabulous job of recommendations. We will add this restaurant to our roster of staples because this breakfast was delicious.
