The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill

The Great Greek has set my standards for Mediterranean food very high and the prices are very reasonable.
I Recently tried another Mediterranean restaurant bc it was closer to my home. Boy, I was disappointed.
I will go out of my area to get my Greek food fix from The Great Greek next time.
The staff at The Great Greek are always friendly & if I have a reward, they offer it instead of me having to ask about it.
The restaurant is always clean, and the staff brings your meal to you.
Looking forward to a Great Greek restaurant coming to the Tustin/ Orange/ Irvine area.

First impression:
Inside the store eeek plain Jane common tables and chais. There really is no decoration or inviting ambiance...
Then ordered the food... well let's just say it was ok.... The chicken was a tad bit dry and flavorless for my liking...
The rice was not seasoned just plain white rice...
I don't like to be negative but there's no reason to go back.
What's baffling is that it had tons of good reviews as if there was a need to try this place.
Either people are being nice or plain deceptive.. stop people saying things that are not true.

Ever since my beloved Mad Greek on Beach Blvd closed, I have been looking for a replacement gyro. Daphne's in San Diego is good, but no local places had that special something.
Finally! This is it! Dare I say it? Better than my memories of Mad Greek? I'm not sure what they are doing to this gyro, but it's spectacular. I ate there twice last week. And those Greek fries are dreamy.
I am so glad this place isn't closer to my house because it's embarrassing when the people who work there recognize you and give you that look like "Don't you ever eat at home?"
I have long said I could easily eat tacos every day. I may need to change that to every other day, alternating with gyros.

So satisfying!! I just had The Great Greek for the first time last night and I can't wait to go again. It's a casual restaurant which made me even more surprised with the quality.

My sister and I both got the Greek Salad Wrap with falafel and LOVED it. At first I wished it came with a side but I was actually perfectly full and because it's so fresh & healthy, didn't get a food coma haha.

My grandma has some serious health issues and we are trying to get her used to having better foods. Her doctor's recommended if we are eating out to do Mediterranean. She got the plate with 2 kebabs (one chicken, one steak) that comes with a side salad, rice, pita, and Tzatziki, sauce. Presentation was gorgeous, portions were great, and best of all - her vitals didn't spike after the meal!

The staff were VERY friendly and the space is clean. There is indoor and outdoor seating & easy parking. My only thought is to turn the music up or fix the soda machine because it makes a lot of noise that was distracting.

I had an amazing Greek lunch with very fresh ingredients and great vibe.

I had:
1. Hummus
2. Greek salad
3. Beef & shrimp skewers with rice
4. Dessert sampler: baklava, baklava ice cream with honey, mom's rice pudding
5. Iced tea

Mediterranean is my safe go-to when traveling. I think I got a fair deal for my money. The gyro was very hearty. I liked that the feta fries were served hot (the feta baked into the fries).

Simple menu, basics done well.

Great Greek is a fast casual restaurant where you pay and order first then they bring you your food.

Great Greek Gyro Sandwich - You can get this one gyro meat or chicken, I went with gyro. It's a thick pita with stuffed full with Mediterranean salad, plenty of gyro meat and a fat fluffy scoop of tzatziki and feta cheese crumbles. The meat was cooked perfectly (not undercooked, not dry and burnt) and was robust in flavor. It's a good sized pita.

French Fries - They served medium cut beer batter style fries. These were hot and crispy like they should be. A very full portion size.

The sandwich does not come with sides, so you can add something like Fries for $3.99 or make it a fries and drink combo for an additional $4.99. They have feta fries for $1 more. They also have avgolemono soup and lemon potatoes that I will have to try in the future.

Ordering was easy and the food came out really quick, within five minutes of me sitting down. The restaurant is new and clean and there's plenty of parking in this strip mall. If you need a good, quick Greek food fix, hit up Great Greek Mediterranean!

Tried this place out for lunch and got the Great Greek Gyro. Very fresh ingredients and very tasty. Service was friendly and place was clean. I'll need to come back to try their other sandwiches and entrees.

The food here is absolutely fire. One of the best Mediterranean food I've had in a while. Ordered the great greek gyro wrap as a combo with a side of fries which was around $18. Service here is great and the restaurant has plenty of parking and seats.

Make sure to order a side of fries whether you go for the regular ones like I did or the feta fries. Perfectly crispy and crunchy on the outside while maintaining its soft texture on the inside. Careful when you eat it though, because it is insanely hot being fresh out of the fryer. The gyro wrap was delicious as well and they are very generous with their portions. The gyro was nice and flavorful, pita was soft, and the taziki was good. If you're in Costa Mesa, definitely check this place out.

Huge portions, many options to choose from. We ordered the Athenian burger, gyro pita, and feta fries.

The feta fries with lime were perfection! My favorite item.

The gyro pita was ginormous, probably enough for 2 meals. My husband loved the Athenian burger!

The team members were so welcoming and friendly. Plenty of parking on this side of the plaza. Saw there is also another location in Ladera Ranch!
