I'm kinda spoiled because I always go to The Original Fudge Factory but my sister in law was intrigued by the welcoming smell and the sight of the fudge worker making the whipped creamy fudge on two large tables. I was intrigued by the slabs of whipped up light fudge. That was delicious! I loved the caramel vanilla sea salt. I tried the slab style fudge , the chocolate praline and my sample was dry without any caramel to speak of.
The help is very friendly and the whipped old fashioned fudge is spectacular ! I would recommend that but I would personally stay away from the slabs of fudge although my son tried the jelly donut fudge slab style fudge and he loved it! The apples look unbelievable!! My brother and sister in law were very pleased with their fudge purchases and returned the following evening!

Terrible customer service, the kid working there didn't even answer me when I tried to order and walked away into the back room without saying anything. Took about 20 minutes for us to get the fudge and there was no one else in the store.

I placed an online order for fudge. It was a gift. Three weeks later, it has not been delivered. I have sent several emails asking for shipping tracking info. No response. Phone is temporarily disconnected. Poor customer service.

My last visit was not pleasant. The girl behind the counter smashed all my fudge choices into the same box. She also tried to literally scrape a flavor off the board for me. I said, that's melted. She responded it was fine, just hot out. Um... what? I would overlook the poor boxing if the quality was good but it wasn't. The peanut butter, my favorite, was bland. The others tasted like they had been sitting a bit. I did pick up a caramel apple and that was delicious! I probably won't be back.
Aug 11, 2014Previous reviewI admit, I was drawn in seeing all the crazy flavors. The fudge is gorgeous, really. And although I LOVED the look/idea of watermelon (hot pink, chocolate seeds and green) it tasted too much like Bubblicious gum. I bet kids absolutely love it though.
Aside, and more important than the look of it the fudge is DELICIOUS! My standby is chocolate peanut butter but on a whim tried the sea salt caramel and it rocked. Reece's pieces peanut butter, chocolate mint and rocky road are some of my favorites. BUT... the red velvet cake is THE BEST! It's perfect with pretty cream and dark maroon stripes and chocolate crunchies on top.
The girls working there are so nice and always offer samples (much to my scale's chagrin). You won't go to another fudge store on the boardwalk again! - Autumn M.Chadds Ford, PA0413Sep 2, 2019
Walked in to the fudge factory on Sept 1st and was instantly turned off. Not one person in the store but one worker. Now I know why........
The girl at the counter was full of hickeys all over neck, very dirty and was very hard to understand.
She told me buy 2 lbs get one free. Ok deal!
Instead of the beautiful precut bricks of fudge you get from others stores she was just hacking chunks off so she had no idea of weight as she added the fudge types I picked.
So she weighed my fudge after she coughed all over it yes right into the box..... .... instead of the 3 lbs I asked for that should have been $27.98 my fudge was over $53.00. Insane right???? I said take some out she handed me a brick of fudge and said how much do you want off only to put it back in the case after I handled it. Ok so I left and said I'll go somewhere else she started yelling bye bye bye....
Glad I left Douglass fudge was clean, friendly and absolutely delicious. - Greg J.Montclair, NJ293172299Aug 4, 2016
Wonderful boardwalk fudge! They let you taste whichever flavor you want. They also have a deal of buy 2 lbs get 1 free which is great if you're buying gifts.

If you have ever been on Wildwood's boardwalk, you'd know that there are tons of fudge shops and they are all having a special sale today! The sales clerks stand outside and tell you about "tonight's special," buy 2 lbs of fudge and get a free box of salt water taffy. If you live in a sea-side town you know that this is the same special that has been offered everyday since the beginning of time. (Not literally, but it's been the same special since I was a fetus. Only the prices have gone up.) If you're in town, don't get fooled by the "special." Check local papers for a coupon. Every fudge shop on the boardwalk offers them. (Fudge Kitchen, Laura's Fudge, Douglas Fudge...etc.)
Over the years I have tried every fudge shop on the boardwalk and I think Fudge Factory is the best. It is the only place I ever buy fudge from.
The shop isn't fancy by any means, it looks just like all the others, but it's the actual fudge and it's flavors that make this shop stand out.
The variety at Fudge Factory is leaps and bounds above it's competition. With amaretto swirl, jalapeno pepper, watermelon and apple pie...I think this shop is in a league of it's own. (Well at least it is in Wildwood.) - Rob P.Linden, NJ77Aug 31, 2018
Many different types of fudge to choose from, more than other spots on the boards but it's hard, looks like soap and taste is forgettable. They also sell random treats like the other shops but you can buy same candies in the supermarket or somewhere else for a better price

Didn't try the fudge, but the full 5 stores is for their caramel popcorn with pecans and cashews! Amazing!!
Walked by the shop on a late Monday night and it looked like they had just finished making a big batch of this yummy goodness. Went inside and inquired about the popcorn on the table by the shop window. Unfortunately they only sell it in a tub for about $11.99 but the nice girl at the shop asked the manager and she was willing to self me half a bucket's worth of popcorn for half the price since I only wanted a small portion :)
Had one bite of it and I was hooked! Some of the popcorn was still cooling so they were warm and crunchy, yum! Perfect combination of sweet and salty and the right amount of nuts were great flavor and texture. Definitely going back for some more! - Denise G.Millville, NJ213Sep 8, 2017
My most FAVORITE thing is the birthday cake fudge. It is delicious and creamy. The first time I tried it felt like magic on my tongue. Definitely try it and you won't regret it!
