The service here was incredible. Very impressed. They checked on our coffee often. Very friendly and hopping staff.
I had the Mediterranean omelet. I get this at almost every breakfast place I go to, but this was by far my favorite that I've ever had. The combination of veggies, gyro meat and topping of Greek yogurt made this a standout and a real treat. I feel like I might start putting it on all my omelets.
The best part is our bill was only 14 bucks for two people with coffee and solid portions. Owner was also visible and attentive. It's a diner so the environment and food are going to be on that level, but I was impressed for how well they pulled it off. Very satisfied.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lane M.Metamora, IL2103Feb 20, 2015
If you are looking for a great breakfast, this is the right spot. All their breakfast menu items are at a good price. The skillets are amazing. I love the chef skillet! Everything you want for breakfast thrown into a skillet and covered in gravy. You can also substitute your eggs for egg white/beaters, so if you trying to eat healthier this is a good option.

This place is your standard country diner. There are men arguing religion at one table, a bunch of hunters at another, and a mish-mosh of families, and other diners. The coffee is constantly flowing and the service is helpful and friendly.
The food is good. The prices are also good. Two adult breakfasts, a kids breakfast, a juice, and three coffees was about $22. (No, we don't give the nugget coffee, my FIL doesn't normally eat breakfast)
Whenever we are visiting family in Metamora we always stop here for breakfast. don't forget to bring some quarters for the kiddos...they have several candy and toy machines in the foyer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 159816607Jan 3, 2011
Turkey and mashed potatoes were the real deal (no slimy processed turkey or rehydrated potatoes), and the prices were very reasonable.

Prices very reasonable. Food very good. Excellent sausage gravy. Excellent chicken soup. Service a little slow but there was only one waitress on duty.

Great portions of food. The service is friendly and the prices are more than fair. My only compliant is that sometimes the meat is over cooked and a little dry. I guess that's why it comes with gravy.
I have been here multiple times with my teenage son. The daily specials are usually the way to go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alec F.Metamora, IL12152Oct 11, 2015
Very friendly people. Owner is very nice and funny. Food here is good. Breakfast is the best in central Illinois.

I went here with a couple of friends. The gyro was pretty good, but the chocolate mousse cake was quite heavenly. The owner recognized my friends as regulars, knew their names and was very personable.

Average ma and Pa restaurant. Had the Reuben sandwich. Below average. Omelette looked good. Wifi didn't work. Would not return.

We walked in around 245pm Saturday, dining room was not crowded. Staff walked by and made eye contact 3 times. No greeting, no acknowledgement, never seated. We left and won't return.
