If you're looking for a gunsmith and the firm is recommended to you reconsider taking your stuff here. Where to start... I asked for a Remington 700 action to be re-barreled with a Rock Creek, M24 contour, 6.5mm barrel. I called to ask about progress 6-7 months after I shipped the action. I was told it had been done for months but the paperwork was lost and they couldn't figure out who's it was. It took me 3 1/2 months to get them to ship it to me after that. I would get messages saying it was shipping soon, but it wouldn't ship. Then I got one saying it shipped but it actually didn't. Not until I called out the smith on social media did it ship (overnight) 2 hours later. When it arrived it was missing the entire trigger assembly I sent with it, which was shipped regular mail the next day. The Cerakote came off easily with 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol, and the bedding tape I used when bedding the rifle also pulled off the Cerakote. This is an indication of either poor prep work or the coating not actually being Cerakote. Upon inspection of the barrel I noticed it was a 4 groove rifling barrel, indication that it was not the Rock Creek barrel I asked for. Rock Creek confirmed they do not make a 4 groove barrel at this time. If you like waiting a long time for the wrong thing then send it here.
