The Donut Man - Glendora

We live far from here but every time we go somewhere and pass by this city, we always make it a stop on the way home because the donuts are delicious...my favorite is definitely the strawberry donuts and tiger tails...my kids love their chocolate donuts with sprinkles. Line is not too bad when we go since it's later in the day but the service is pretty quick and friendly.

I'm writing this review for the wrong reasons but here it goes anyway. Lol

After standing in a line for roughly 15 or so minutes to get some awesome donuts from this place, we ran into an unexpected problem...

So unfortunately we had made the mistake of parking around the other side for some hoodrat third party gym with one other guy parked there too. We thought, "ok someone else is probably here getting donuts too so we ahoior be ok"

After we get the gold, we come back to find that the one car next to us had left and all of a sudden the gate to leave was also locked and we couldn't escape! So that means that loser left and thought to teach us a lesson by locking us in for the night.

Unfortunately for them, we found our way out via donut man with the help of the awesome staff. Who all came out to help us try to find a way to Jimmy the chains off the side connecting their parking lot to theirs. They were pretty busy too and yet made the time to come out to help. I'm sure I'll write later about the donuts.. For now though? I get to enjoy a good slice of Ef You too. :D

This is not your normal donut shop. All their donuts are to die for. Our family go to donuts are the tiger twist, Bavarian filled, chocolate bar and really every donuts on their shelves.

All the employees are friendly,
helpful and so patient. Go check it out, you will definitely will not be disappointed.

I'm sorry but I don't get the hype. A tiny location where you have to wait to order one by one and you feel rushed once you get to the front.

The donuts were ok but not worth waiting in line for.

The Donut Man had been on my list for years and I finally got around to trying it. It definitely lives up to the hype. Not your average everyday donut, but a delicious dessert.

FOOD
Of course I had to try their best selling Strawberry Donut. The strawberries were fresh and juicy. The glaze coating the strawberries is sweet and it soaks into the donut, but not to the point where it's soggy. They don't skimp out on the strawberries either. They really pack those berries in even if they're falling out. The strawberry donut was my favorite out of my order.
The Bavarian Creme donut was also good but it was nothing special. I would skip it next time. The tiger tail and maple bar were great. They're ridiculously large but I would definitely buy them again. The Apple filled donut was also tasty. I do prefer the strawberry because you get whole strawberries instead of chopped pieces.

SERVICE
The staff is wonderful. They were welcoming and upbeat even though we were there late.

AMBIANCE
Be prepared to wait in line during peak strawberry season and for their other seasonal flavors. It was about a 40 minute wait if not a bit longer. They're open 24/7 so it's perfect for a midnight sweet treat if you're in the area. They have a small parking lot in the back and there's also street parking. I will definitely be back to try their peach donut and other specialty donuts.

Over 50 years and different owners, as far as I know, but still delicious "doughnies"!!! The tiger tail is my go to, hubs likes plain raised glaze. No annoying soy aftertaste, just sweet satisfying donut yumminess! They are know for their fresh peach - in season, so check first - and strawberry, but easy to remedy any flavor craving you may have. It's a special stop when I'm in the area. Cheers! "CC"

This place is soooooo popular and has been a donut staple in Glendora. Located off a busy street but there's plenty of street parking and there is a small parking lot in the back.

So many choices and not enough stomach space for it...

They're known for the strawberry donuts but it's seasonal. So today m, I got blueberry donut, apple crueller, raspberry filled and of course the regular chocolate and sugar donuts. I spend about $15 for what I got. There were also seasonal specialty pumpkin donuts... I'll try those next time.

Say, now, is that a donut or a work of art? At Donut Man, it is cream and fruit filled ecstasy. Come by in summer for the fresh peach donuts. Drop by in late January for the strawberry donuts. Have yourself a merry giant apple-filled donut at two in the morning -- Donut Man is 24/7.

The lemon cream cheese cruller is sublime. The chocolate-covered Bavarian custard filled donut is rich and delicious. The blueberry powdered sugar donut is very fresh with a pure and natural blueberry essence.

During the holiday season, there may be a line, and you might have to wait. But it's worth the wait. These are certainly not your average donuts; they are elevated and artistic.

The Donut Man is a well-known favorite in the area-- even my friend visiting from out-of-state asked about it! Representative of nostalgia and LA small-biz donut shops, The Donut Man is well worth the wait for churning out always fresh (and always delicious) donuts.

The Donut Man has seasonals-- like strawberry donuts and pumpkin donuts-- but they offer a wide variety that will please anyone. Their uber-popular tiger tail donut is glazed, moist, and sweet. There's also filled donuts, which sport different fillings from lemon to bavarian cream. And for those want a slower release of sugar, their cake donuts are a hit (double-chocolate is delicious, with a lot of bite). All of the offerings from The Donut Man are delightful and consistent, even if you have a go-to (they will be sweet though).

Go often. No matter the mood, you won't be disappointed. (Also, the service is attentive and sometimes offers free donuts!)
