The Derm Lounge Med Spa

Amazing spa with an amazing staff! Hands down best Med spa that I have ever been to. Highly recommend!

Was overcharged, owner said it was because the person was new but her very own son was helping the new person through out the entire process. I was excited to come back as it was my second visit but the original person moved to another med spa. I decided I would try it and it felt very transactional/ I did end up getting a refund for the "accident" of the $190 overcharged but still I just canceled my follow up and will not be returning here. Pay attention to your units your actually getting / check out price as well.

After doing my research, I decided to go to Dana for my first botox appointment. I decided to go to her because of all the years of experience she has. Her team was very nice and helpful. I was nervous for it being my first time getting botox, but Dana was very calm and confident which made me trust her. I was lucky enough to get my Botox done on "Botox week", which allowed me to get an excellent price on Botox!

I can't begin to describe how FAST and pain free their laser hair treatments are! My arms where done in less than 15 minutes! FABULOUS!! Highly Recommend! Oh and while you are there try out their EmSculpt machine! It's a hoot!

The Lounge from Hell...
I went in to this Derm Lounge to get one thing done, and ended up spending $2,700.00.
Then, had to go to other doctors for corrections. Be wary!

November last yr I went to The Derm Lounge to get Botox in one specific area, the glabella between my eyebrows. I was treated by Brittany, she is very nice, but in my case, not very skillful or helpful. Unfortunately, Dana, the owner, was even less competent.
I wanted the line between my brows softened and once I arrived, Brittany let me know they were having a special on Botox so I could get a good deal by buying more and I might as well get my eyes done because, in her words I needed to do something about my "resting bitch face".
I was cautious abt getting too much Botox, as I shared I thought I was sensitive to Botox from a previous situation where I got sick afterwards in different doctor's office. But she assured me, it was a small amount, and shouldn't cause a problem. So, at Brittaney's recommendation I agreed and got my brow, eyes, and filler in my cheeks.
(At this point I'll point out, altho I'm over 40, I'm in generally good health competing in triathlons/eating healthy) Looking back, I should have gotten up and left when Brittney mentioned I had a "resting bitch face". I guess I was stunned into silence.)
As it goes, after my multiple injections, at check-out, I was further sold a box of products for appx $500 that would 'help my wrinkles'.
So my grand total was a shocking $2,775.00 which was more than I had bargained for. I suppose it all would've been OK if their services were at least helpful.
But shortly after my treatment at The Derm Lounge, several bad things happened:
1) I got VERY sick.
2) My eyes got so dry, I was in pain.
3) I couldn't breath thru my nose.

1-- Since I was sick after my treatment at the Derm Lounge I called them and Dana, the owner, called me back. However, rather than asking me how I was, she was unfriendly and defensive. I felt like I was talking to a trial attorney. Before the end of our conversation she stated it wasn't her fault, and if I wanted to make a complaint I'd have to reach her medical supervisor. It didn't make me feel like she cared about what had happened to me or her quality of services. (I have since found out from other physicians, that Botox CAN cause flu like symptoms and in fact, can get worse w/ more treatments)

2--My eyes were so dry I was in pain. I visited an ophthalmologist who asked me to point out the injection sites of Botox. I showed him around the side of my eyes and underneath my eye and he said underneath the eye is especially bad for eye health. He told me the Botox had severely frozen the majority of my tear ducts. He wasn't sure if it would return to normal but was able to give me a prescription to keep in my eyes moist throughout the day & another gel w/ pain relief at night so I could sleep. This was no normal dry-eye; i cld only look at my computer 5mins, had to wear shades all day even indoors and had to close my eyes often to reduce the throbbing. This lasted abt six weeks.

3) The filler Brittney injected in my cheeks looked uneven and also made it difficult for me to breathe thru my nose. I went back to see Brittaney, who was very friendly & evened-out the filler, but stated she was sure it wasn't causing breathing problems. Instead she suggested that I was one of those 'dramatic type of people' and said it would be fine if I would just be more 'easy going' . Tired of having to prop my head up on three pillows at night to breathe, I called a cosmetic dermatologist. Upon examination, he found the filler was in the wrong place on top of my sinus cavity. He removed it and within 24 hrs I could breathe normally again.
He also cautioned me of the $500.00 box of face products I'd bought, stating they were too strong for my skin type. He asked me who did the treatment and I told him of Dana's 'Derm Lounge', and he unfortunately knew of her as he had done several corrections before.
In all, being upsold product from Dana's 'Derm Lounge' and having to get corrections from other physicians after spending $2,700.00 here makes it less than a 1-star in my book!
I chalked it up to a costly learning experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid The Derm Lounge's mis-leading online smiling faces/good rec's on their site.
Find another reputable dermatologist that will help you if there's complication,s, and steer clear of this money grubbing facade of fake professionals.

I have been seeing Brittney for years she is an amazing injector! I won't trust anyone but her to do my Botox or filler I've followed her for 2 years. I definitely recommend she'll definitely get you exactly what you want and need!
She always listens to my needs and concerns.
Amazing customer service and has always gone above and beyond!

I definitely do my due diligence when selecting someone that is going to be injecting my face (especially my wife's face) with botox/filler and I'm really glad I came across The Derm lounge Med Spa. What makes this place spot on is of course the staff! From walking in to leaving, you get a great vibe from the front of house staff, which unfortunately, is hard to find these days. Simply put, if you don't feel like reading this full review...Dana and Brittney are both awesome tacticians that know what they are doing... they talk the talk and walk the walk!

The Director/Master Injector Dana is confident with her skillset and attends training frequently with the NP on staff there Brittney; so they are always up to date on the latest and greatest trends... which in this business is very important. The walls are full of their credentials which is also a nice touch.

My wife and I came in today to get Botox and I also needed some filler dissolved. Hands down, this is the place to come to get Botox and any filler injected or dissolved from previous injectors who didn't know what they were doing. Again, the confidence both Dana and Brittney displayed today shows they are experts at what they do. Dana injected both my wife and myself with Botox with a technique, confidence and skillet I have never seen before and Brittney used Hyaluronidase (filler dissolver) near my eye trough that has been bothering me for about two years now (my little bump is now gone and couldn't be happier). My wife and I went to two other places before trying the Derm Lounge Med Spa and walked out because of the lack of confidence in the injectors... both Dana and Brittney without hesitation had the confidence to do what most other injectors were afraid to do. They both exude confidence which again, is hard to find these days.

You are in great hands coming here and hands down it's the best place in the Dallas area. 5 Stars and customers for life. Thanks Derm Lounge Med Spa for a great overall experience today and thank you for what you do to help keep people looking their best!

I had the most AMAZING experience with Dana. She was so warm and welcoming. The space is absolutely beautiful and I can not wait to see the new space. I have never felt more beautiful than I did after my appointment. I would highly recommend to anyone that needs injections or treatments.

Kristi is fantastic...she is very thorough, gentle with the needle and reassuring if you have any concerns with how injectibles may react. I would definitely return based on my experience with Kristi.. I will not return, however, based on my "after Botox" follow up experience.

Kristi said she wanted to see me in 10 days to ensure all went well with my botox injections...the shots had the intended result... so I scheduledan appointment. Due to a work conflict, I had to cancel the appointment. I canceled well in advance of the 24-hour cancelation time frame. When I called to cancel, the receptionist booked a new follow up appointment for me with Dana for 6 p.m. on another day. On the day of my appointment, 2.5 hours before my 6 p.m. appointment, Dana calls to cancel my follow-up for that night. As I was in a meeting, did not get call. She then sends me a text message telling me that I should have scheduled my follow-up appointment with Kristi and not with her since Kristi did my injections. Mistake one...she assumed I did the scheduling, when in fact it was the Dem Lounge rep who scheduled my appointment. I saw Dana's text about 1.5 hours before my appointment. I called and talked to Dana...she told me it wasn't their policy to see people after Botox unless they have an issue...this was contrary to what Kristi said. So not sure what the policy is, but will say this...it was a D customer service experience.

The Derm Lounge has a 24-hour cancelation policy; otherwise, they charge the client $50. As Managing Director, Dana should have afforded me the same consideration and not canceled an appointment 2.5 hours prior to my appointment. I had purposely juggled other commitments that evening so I could make my appointment, and I was eager to hear how Dana or whomever thought the results looked. So, from a client experience, Dana should have honored the appointment. It was clear she was not interested in seeing me that night; it showed in the vm she left me as well as in the text. As such, giving 2 stars. I give Kristi 5 stars, but unfortunately, the service afterward was 1 star.

I have always gone to Dana for Filler and Botox. I love the way she does filler and I would never let anyone else inject me. About three years ago, I went to Dana with some concerns about my skin. Throughout my 20's, I had issues with acne and it left some scarring. I also had a little loss of elasticity in my skin, I guess from aging and maybe some weight loss. I told Dana I wanted to get a face lift. She laughed at me and told me I was too young. But she told me that there were other options to try. She did skin tightening and prp treatments. I first started with a package of three. I loved the results so much that I decided to do another package of 3. I have now had 6 treatments and I can't tell you how happy I am with the results. My skin is so smooth. My pores are so much smaller. My skin glows and is more plump. My makeup goes on so much smoother. People actually compliment me on my skin all the time and I never got compliments like that in the past.
