The Corner Tavern & Grill

Came here on a Sunday early afternoon for lunch.
One of us ordered the fried fish with a side salad, which she had to pay extra for. The regular sides are fries, potato chips and pasta salad. The fish did not look good to me and I was glad I did not order it. It was very "crunchy" and it seemed hard to cut into. She ordered a side of fries, and they came out WAY over done. The side salad looked ok.
I got the burger with fries. The fries were very good,but the burger was just ok. I would not get again...was overpriced and just blah. It came with pineapple on it which I can not eat and cheese which I took off, but even with those two things added, it just did not compare to other burgers that are better for less money.
The service was good, only one young lady for the whole place, but she did a great job.
It was fairly quiet for the first 2 hours we were there, but it got louder and louder and it was almost impossible to have a conversation by the time we left.
The place was clean as far as I could see but there was not much of a decor to speak of.
Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall.

Nice place. Wanted to go somewhere decent and cheap with outdoor seating as the weather was finally turning well. Unfortunately it rained just before we came but the staff was very nice as she cleaned the table and chairs for us.
I had philly cheese with chicken and my husband had veggie burger with fries. Everything was nice but the fries were just awesome. I would go back just for the fries for sure

Food and congeniality of hostess was perfect! Real burger size and taste! Did pick up order on my way home

Covid really did a number in small independent restaurants but I would say that the tavern has come through pretty well.
Their menu has changed a bit but if anything, it's gotten more refined (in a pub-sort-of-way).
Live jazz usually 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month too.

Came on a work trip and a coworker took me to this spot. We sat at the bar and Molly who was our server was great! She gave us amazing service, gave us suggestions and made the dinner an even better experience!

Food:
Appetizers were Hummus and the Corn Dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed the corn dogs and my friend loved the hummus.
For dinner I got the Gyro Sandwich and my friend got the Kabobs. We both enjoyed our entrees and had a great time watching the hockey game Molly so nicely put on for us.

Very good burgers and exceptional fries. They have inexplicably discontinued what once were also outstanding onion rings. The service is generally friendly although sometimes distracted. It's basically a good, small neighborhood dive. Live music livens the place up, but the space is so small that the bands that play there often loud enough to prevent conversation.

Just right for afternoon brews on a hot day, lots of shade on the patio and friendly service.

Stopped in for a quick bite, didn't know what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. Great food. Bar food with a few surprises you wouldn't expect to see. To be a good bar food restaurant, you need good ranch dressing and there's is top notch.

I came to Corner Tavern & Grill in Cary to see a band (Pearl Jam tribute). Otherwise, I would have not known about this place since it is small and somewhat hidden off of Maynard Road in Cary.

I and a friend sat in a booth and ordered some drinks and food while listening to the band. I had a black and blue burger and sweet potato fries. The food was good and different in that the meat was spiced up more than what is typical. (The food has a Moroccan flare in general since the owners are Moroccan).

The service was as good as can be expected since they had a big crowd to see the band.

Although The Corner Tavern & Grill isn't really convenient for me, I would visit The Corner Tavern & Grill again if they have a band I am interested in.

If you want to come to a bar that gives you the same warm and inviting vibe as "Cheers", than this is the place to go. Molly, the bartender, and the other staff, are all super nice and really in tune with what you want, such as drink refills that magically appear, so you really enjoy your evening. Mostafa, one of the owners of this tavern and grill, really listens to his customers, to their ideas about what they enjoy doing for entertainment, and possibly implementing those ideas in the future. I truly love coming here, listening to the amazing musicians play on Open Mike Night, listening to friends sing on Karaoke nights, bringing my friends, and always meeting new people, too!
