Exterior
This grocery store has had several iterations since I was a little girl. Piggly, Bi-Lo and a host of others that I can't remember. Same big, spacious parking lot.

Interior
The most recent owner has done some stuff to make it look more upscale, like faux interior wood flooring.

Price / Value / Food
I found some very good deals in the meat department. Unlike any of it's predecessors, they have Boar's Head deli meats. They have a hot bar with stuff like fried chicken, fried pork chops, mac & cheese. Apparently the offerings change daily but there's a schedule (ie fried fish on Fridays).

Customer Service
As usual, the customer service was top notch. The deli attendant made a mistake and sliced nearly 2.5 lbs of turkey instead of a quarter pound (0.25) and one night when I ventured in, someone from the deli had dished up portions of food and priced them without labeling the contents so the staff had no way of knowing if the containers contained sweet potato casserole, mac n cheese or what - but we all gotta give people grace in this day of struggle staffing.

Overall
I hope these guys stick around. They also own The Market (restaurant and seafood market).

Much needed in the Darien area. Has not only what you want but what you need.
The staff are wonderful and so many there to help. Some of the prices are a bit high compared to competitors but shop local!!! The prices are fine when you factor in the convenience of location.
The parking lot was completely done along with the interior. It's clean, modern and well organized. When it was BiLo it felt horribly crowded.
Welcome to Darien because this store makes our tiny town look good!

You gotta be kidding me. We went there to buy Bloody Mary stuff. Found a cool looking mix but we're told we can't buy it until noon on Sunday. Even the folks behind us thought it was crazy: "Read the ingredients!" I went back in and bought V-8 that also said "bloody Mary mix". Crazy stupid!!!
