The Boatel

I listened to a couple play John Anderson's Seminole Wind on fiddle and guitar, had a great time with new friends and the view of Chena river was excellent. Don't judge the place off your first beer, let a few kick in around 10 pm and you'll be happy you did.

Love me a dive bar!  Sadly is was raining out so we couldn't sit outside.

Bartender was very friendly and the drink were cold!

Can't wait to go back!

Great family owned bar. Natalie & Chrissy have kept their dad Johns charm alive in there. The new extended yard is great. The summer concerts are the perfect idea. Drinks are good and the prices are great. The Boatel is definitely a Fairbanks staple and I recommend checking it out!

We've been to this bar a few times. The only thing it has going for it is the waterfront location. The owners and staff are unbelievably rude and disrespectful. They have zero customer service skills. Dirty, disgusting bathrooms, tiny bar and overpriced drinks. We were there the other night after the canoe race when we witnessed the owner Natalie kicking people out because they had a service dog. It was quite the scene. I was shocked, especially because they were outside and the bar was hosting the after party for the yukon quest. That was the last straw, we won't be returning. I've always seen dogs there, but apparently they were allowed because they were the owner's and friend's dogs. That is clear discrimination and very illegal!

This place is not for everyone.  But it is local and people are great. it looks like an old motel and an old boat. Motel-Boatel. There are people there all day so if you are courageous and want a cheap drink, give it a chance. Also, bring your darts.

Had a great time at Boatel.  Cool outside deck and lawn.  Laid back atmosphere with good beer.  Had bean bags/corn hole too.

I like this place, depending on when you go, it can be a nice chill or party spot, staff all seem to be very friendly and helpful, love that they have angry orchard on tap! Wish it wasn't quite as smokey but it is a bar so you can't really expect much there.
