The Bike Shop At Del Sur

I brought my sons e-bike in for a flat tire last Friday, picked it up on Tuesday. On his way to work on Thursday which is less than a mile his tire popped again. I bring it back again not only is there no warranty on a repair that was less then a week since fixed, today im charged 20 dollars more because he said his e-bike falls under a scooter tire repair. The tube change was $56 initially now I'm told $76. When I question the up-sale he said they rang me up wrong, mind you it's the same guy. Not happy about fee but he needs his bike it to get to
work. After today I will take my business elsewhere.

I stopped at The Bike Shop looking for a cable -- not for my bike but for a 15+ year old recliner. I've been having trouble getting the correct cable, and friend suggested going to a bike shop. The fellow who wait3d on me was friendly, helpful and patient with my questions. Although he couldn't provide me with the cable I needed, his customer service skills impressed me. The shop itself has a good number and variety of bicycles for sale, as well as a seemingly well stocked inventory of parts and accessories.

I had a good experience at the Bike Shop at Del Sur, also called Edison Cycle co. My rear cog set was worn out and they ordered me a replacement. It was an high end obscure brand and took longer to arrive than expected. When it arrived they called me and I expected that I would need to leave the bike for a few days. Quinn the mechanic popped my bike on the rack and said he would finish in 10-15 minutes so I would not need to wait a few days for my bike. He also identified that I should replace some bearings and ordered them for me to get fixed later.

This shop is close to where I live. Since COVid I understand that service requires an appointment (like you would for your car) now and can be a few weeks out to service. With knowing that I tried there website to schedule service. They even offer a pick up and return service. Thinking, wow what a shop for offering that. Scheduled my service and type refer and was told I'd be notified in 24-48 hours by staff. Nothing after 48 hours, did it again and still know reply. I then decided to call and immediately the recording said they'd be closed one Sunday in November 2022 (can't remember the exact date)???
Isn't June 2023?? After completing the phone prompts to talk with someone a very unhappy sounding male answered the phone, I asked about service and immediately his reply was "uh, we are backed up so, try us again on the 21st." Apparently I can't schedule it but have to try again by the 21st??? How many more bikes will come in between then and the 21st?? Being in the automotive biz, we would never tell a customer to bring their car back around the 21st!! We'd offer to take it in immediately and explain the time we'd need for the vehicle. If not immediately and just for service, we'd schedule a future date and secure the customer with a firm date. This company lacks customer service and not very welcoming to new customers for service and possibly future bike and accessory purchases. Edison bicycle's company locations in Poway and Del Sur would not recommend at all!

The cleat on my bike shoe got stuck in the clip on the pedal of my bike and I couldn't figure out how to free it. I took it to The Bike Shop at Del Sur to see if they could help and they were right on top of it. I appreciate that they were able to not only get the pieces separated but then even took the time to put the cleat back on my shoe - I wasn't expecting that and it was much appreciated.

My Aunt and Uncle bought their mountain bikes here, and they recommended that I bring my PK Ripper in for service. My brakes were missing a piece and my pedals/crank were stripped. The shop's and personnel' overall vibes were quite pleasant and relaxed. They were really knowledgable and repaired my bike in a timely and cost-effective manner. 10/10 will always come again.

My sons ebike had a flat tire and we brought it here. Guys were super nice and helpful. It was fixed in one business day, even though at first they couldn't give us a ETA since it depends on how busy they are and how many staff members are working. Mikey was very nice when we picked up our bike. We would definitely come here again for our bike repair needs!

They offer a great selection of quality aluminum bicycles and if they don't have what you like you can surely request a special order bicycle. The owner is friendly and wants to make sure you buy the right bicycle for the type of riding you like.

These guys are extremely helpful and very professional. Anytime I take mine or my kids bikes with issues, they are very courteous. Further help me with the cheapest possible option for fixing. We bought two bikes from them. They will be our family bike shop going forward. Justin was really good!
