My go to place for fantastic bagels and a great mood for the rest of the day. Try their breakfast burritos too.
My experience so far been visiting on week days early in the morning. There is no line and hardly anyone inside which makes it an even better place to start your day, hahaHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 10, 2019Updated review
2019 The food is good but the prices are about double what they were and when the owner isn't there the quality still suffers. No pretzel bagels. They call at the time the order is supposed to be ready. A girl comes by after we're eating to wipe off the table but I already did it myself. The order is ready 10 minutes late. The bagel is not scooped so I bring it back they scoop but this time it's not toasted - I don't bother asking them to fix it again. We also ordered a toasted bagel with butter that is absolutely soaked in butter like a soppy sponge. Why bother asking how someone wants something done when the people working there couldn't care less? Don't walk away before checking your order is correct.
If don't expect too much you might not be let down. My husband said they should just put a batch of toasters out and let people do it themselves & serve you all your fixings on the side. It would insure your order is done right and it would free the people behind the counter to focus on what they are doing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 24, 2018Previous reviewAll is right with the world again and a boy named Suh!! It pains me to change this review. But here goes when the new owner or her brother is there everyone goes smoothly. I only get there on the weekend and neither have been around for months when I go in. And the quality of the product has suffered. Toasted & scooped is happily placed in the bag untoasted and I scooped. It's been months since they had my favorite pretzel bagels on the weekend. Mind you this is a place we travel 30 minutes to get to!?!? We started eating there really just to check our order before walking away. Today we place an online order at 12:30pm on their app and it goes unaccepted so I call them and the person who answered said we're not taking anymore order - we are out of bagels? How does a store that makes its own bagels run out other than poor planning? I tried to suffer through it but I'm done. No more! I need a break from this place. Give them time to get their $h!t together.

I love this place. The owner has a peaceful vibe, of goodwill and he feeds the homeless, but I regress. We go there to eat and we're always happy with whatever we try for breakfast or lunch. They have an endless array of creative concoctions and each one is better than the next. My all time fav is still a boy names suh. I order it with an extra egg to share with my pups. :) - Stefanie I.North Hollywood, CA16764102Feb 10, 2019
Love the decor and the service is friendly but the PRICES!!!?!?!? Yes, there is a little something for everyone but my favorite menu item (Loaded Lox)is nearly double in price since my last visit.
Had the ELI on an Everything Bagel instead and the Bagel was cold (didn't ask me if I wanted it toasted and I didn't think to specify).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2523761253Mar 11, 2019
I liked the atmosphere and would have given it 5 stars due to the variety of gluten free bagels and sandwiches. Unfortunately my breakfast sandwich didn't have much meat on it and I wished there was little more. I will return to try other sandwiches though.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I think there might have been an ownership change recently, but whatever the reason, the bagels are drastically different than they were even two, three months ago. We have on several occasions now received obviously stale a/o hard bagels. The wrinkled texture and dry interior indicate selling bagels that were made the day before a/o were not stored properly after cooking, and wound up having moisture build up on them. This coincides with a publicized switch to natural dyes in some of their bagels, notably their Cinnamon Raisin and Egg Everything, and the texture on the CR has changed dramatically--there's a twist to them, rather than a cohesive round shape, and they barely can be cut cleanly without falling apart. And whatever changed in the EE, it barely holds onto its seasoning. It's essentially just a yellow bagel.
I take no pleasure from writing this review. I'm originally from the Bronx; having bagels worth taking the family out for early on a Saturday or Sunday morning is ritualistic. Decent bagels outside of NYC are notoriously hard to come by. Beacon Bagel used to fit the criteria--hot, fresh bagels at reasonable prices ($24 for a dozen, natural dye or not, is not reasonable). Sadly, it no longer does.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jess L.San Mateo, CA975181151Jan 13, 2018
Awesome place for a quick and filling breakfast! There's a TON of choices for sandwiches (like...at least 30 or so) and I think you can get any sandwich (not just the breakfast/bagel ones) on a bagel. I ordered the 56 and the JD- I forgot which is which but both mine and my boyfriend's were good. I had one with ham, egg, bacon, and chipotle aioli on a sesame bagel and that was so good. The bagel is doughy with the perfectly smooth/tight outer layer (lol this is such a weird way to put it sorry) but ya very yummy.
The selection of bagels is wild here!! Like!! So!! Many!!! From plain to onion to everything to sesame to egg to etc etc etc I wish I could eat here more often to try all the possible combinations of bagels and sandwiches.
The wall on the side is pretty cute- it has children's magnet letters, though I'd be weary about touching those and then using your hands to eat a bagel tbh.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cali S.Cold Spring, NY36511711Aug 5, 2019
Love to stop and get breakfast sandwiches at this place! They have so many different sandwiches to choose from, I just wish they had a few more bagel options - maybe a multigrain (though their whole wheat with oats is good), a pretzel bagel, or something unique like cranberry walnut!
This place isn't cheap, but it isn't outrageous, and the sandwiches and bagels are delicious. My current favorite is the Eli (egg whites, Swiss, spinach, and tomato) on a whole wheat with oats bagel and grilled onions added!
One thing to note is that it gets super hot in here... definitely wish they had a way to keep it cooler for warmer weather months!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ru F.Brooklyn, Brooklyn, NY114Apr 25, 2019
We came here for breakfast, right before 9am.
I agree with some of the more critical reviews on here that for what you get, it's overpriced.
Everything just seemed wrong with our order.
I ordered the loaded lox bagel on a sesame bagel with a small cappuccino. My wife ordered a sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese and tomato. She tried to order a decaf coffee, but three people had to be asked if they had any and one person said "no, but we can brew some right now"
Observations/concerns:
1. Weird that a bagel/coffee shop doesn't have decaf ready to go
2. The bagels are massive, so much dough to chew through
3. Neither of our bagels were toasted, we weren't even asked if we wanted them to be. The flavors of the loaded lox bagel were on point, but something didn't feel right when I continued to bite into it. Because the bagel wasn't toasted, the bagel was a bit cold and chewy, which took away from how right it tasted.
4. Veggie cream cheese had really large chunks of carrot and celery in it. It would have been nice if they chopped it up more-it tasted like veggies covered in cream cheese rather than a spread.
5. The small cappuccino was served in a 12 ounce cup. So...one shot of espresso with 9-10 ounces of steamed milk and some foam...I could barely taste the coffee. They serve lattes here too, I wonder how much more milk they would have served if I ordered that.
It just seemed that everything lacked a little bit of care or there was a laziness in prep across the board.
Our bill was $25. We won't be going back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle D.Bergen County, NJ430197457Apr 26, 2018
Food: Amazing nearly never ending list of different sandwich combinations. I had an everything bagel toasted with turkey, avocado, bacon, tomato, lettuce and chipotle dressing. Perfectly sized portion.
Service: Friendly, but seemed like they were short staffed. Everything is made fresh though, so appreciate the time it takes to make a quality bagel sandwich.
Cost: My sandwich was $9. I think that's a bit pricey for a local bagel joint, but average priced for a deli type sandwich.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
