The bay restaurant grew out of the call from the community that The Whitefish Bay area needed a great local restaurant. The traditions of the old Pabst Resort being a place to get great service, a community feel, and outstanding food are revived in the Bay restaurant. The restaurant specializes in some very approachable menu items such as salmon, cod, hamburgers, salads and pizza to name a few items. There is a full bar that features some great speciality drinks and a large wine list for all tastes, and the biggest wine pour on the Northshore

9/24/2021Outstanding food. Had the pulled pork sandwich and the meat was done perfectly plus the sauce was delicious. They are willing to take special requests with no attitude. Never disappointed with my selection.
1561923327/6/2021Good little restaurant right in downtown Whitefish Bay. Food and service was fine, got the bbq pulled pork sandwich with fries. They have live music I believe on the weekends.

8/1/2020Previous reviewI am currently limiting my dining out to places I know are reliable and take COVID seriously. This means I frequent a few places like The Bay. Outdoor options are great on pleasant evenings. My buddy ordered pasta and I got the Cobb salad. Both were great. Presentation and portions were spot on; service was attentive while not intrusive. I'll be back in no time.
12/15/2019Previous reviewThe food here is okay and the service is generally enthusiastic if a bit unskilled. But overall everyone here is accommodating and refreshingly unpretentious. Pizza and salads are good. Kettle chips are great.
In truth, I come to The Bay to listen to music which I invariably enjoy. Since I'm not a sports fan, I avoid it on other nights.11/19/2015Previous reviewI decided to give The Bay another try and admit that it has improved somewhat. The service staff seemed more trained and the place was slightly less of a sports bar. Still, they could ditch the many TVs that clearly no one is watching except maybe at the bar. My guest and I each ordered a burger and they were both quite good. I ordered a beer and asked for a glass. It seemed odd that it was poured at the bar instead of at my table. My guest ordered a Pepsi and it was flat. When she asked for another it came quickly, with a comment that this one was from the bar instead of the kitchen. The burgers, chips, and fries were done just as ordered and were indeed delicious. Oddly, the bun on my burger was quite cold, though the inside appeared to have been toasted. We skipped the deserts because they were the usual flourlesschocolatecaketiramisu made elsewhere variety.
8/19/2015Previous reviewOn a recent rainy evening I stopped for my first time at this area eatery. There were two other tables of diners and 5 or 6 people at the bar. By the time we left an hour or so later, two more people came to the bar and two more tables were taken by diners. There was a bar tender, a few people in the kitchen and three servers. I point this out because there were almost as many servers as patrons and still the service was haphazard and inattentive.
To be clear, this is a bar with burgers, pizza, and salad. Not a bad idea to grab a bite, but it is more of a family restaurant mash up with bar than anything more interesting. This is not completely unlike Applebees except the bar is more prominent here. Given the number of failed business attempts at this location, it might be a good idea to decide what this place is quite soon or it also will fail. Maybe the Bay just needs to confess itself as a bar (if the village would allow that); or maybe it is a restaurant.
The pizza was okay. The burger quite good. The service, meh. I think The Bay may have its kitchen inorder, but the concept and front of house suggests it needs a manager/owner.

I walked in around 2pm on a Wednesday, and it was not very busy. I was promptly seated outside. The waitress kindly took our orders. My party of three shared the Artichoke dip, which is $10.50. The best thing about this dip is that it comes with warm Parmesan pita chips! These are a must!
I ordered the Bay Topping burger which comes with a fried egg on top! It was super tasty and comes with coleslaw or fries. My friends ordered the oven roasted beet cornucopia salad, and is was okayyy. Nothing spectacular about it.
Overall, the waitress was super kind and we had great service. I would certainly come back to try another burger.
Also, there is a two hour parking garage in the back.
Shsron F.Francis E. Warren AFB, WY02131767/22/2021Just ok. Nothing special. Limited outdoor next to street seating and at lunchtime in the summer it's in the sun and hot. I had a toasted cheese sandwich but I've had better. Doubt if I'll be back. Too many other places to pick from.
Kristin B.Milwaukee, WI9097/27/2021The food is pretty decent. Not too hard to get a table. Nice staff. Although if you want to dine outside, think again!! Their outdoor tables and chairs are dilapidated, rickety wooden furniture that needed to be used as firewood years ago. We've eaten there several times this summer simply because it's close to where we live, and every single time we've sat outside, the chairs have either creaked and wobbled so badly they've caused us to spill a drink, or the splintering wood has given someone in our party a sliver. EVERY time! Each time we visit, we mention this to an employee of the restaurant, and they laugh it off as though it's somehow charming. If you're reading this review and you want to eat outside, but don't want to yank splinters out of your legs and hands, bring your own chairs!!

Just tried this spot after moving to whitefish bay a year ago. We ordered the Buffalo cauliflower and 2 Cobb salads. The app came and it was maybe 8-10 pieces of cauliflower. For $13 I was expecting much more food. Then our salads came out as our main dinner dish, 4 cut baby tomatoes, 1/4 of an Avacado, 8 small bite size pieces of pre cooked/refrigerated chicken, a small handful of candied walnuts and one hard boiled egg...man this salad was SMALL! I told the waitress for a $15 salad I was expecting a bit more to eat. The food was great but the portions were so incredibly small and not filling, I'm still hungry I'll give this spot 2 more try's, once for brunch and once more for dinner.
If you're expecting to be full on their salad, go elsewhere, if not you're paying for over priced romaine lettuce 
Jeff J.Silver City, NM815722311/28/2019This is the site of the former Village Liquor (which I frequented often) in downtown Whitefish Bay. The owners have transformed the space into a very pleasing, light-filled eatery and bar.
I was here for lunch with my daughter on a recent weekday. I had the Impossible Burger (superb) with a side of chili while she had a BLAT (A=avocado) and a baked potato. Our server (Sally) delivered Arnold Palmer refills regularly and was very attentive (as was the barman, whose name I didn't get).
For dessert, I ordered the delectable peanut butter pie. My daughter ordered the flourless chocolate cake. Not a crumb remained of either.
The menu is varied and the prices are reasonable.
Free parking is available in the back and metered parking is available on the street.
This is a very attractive lunch spot. I'll be back soon during the evening, perhaps when live music is performed.
