Pad Thai. Green curry. Basil pork. It's all so good. Family owned and fantastic. Love this place.

I was hangry and looking for something to eat and found this spot on Yelp. I almost gave up trying to go because of parking, but walked in and this sweet lady took my order. She was very considerate of the spiciness of each dish and encouraged me to go sit in the car and wait so I don't get a ticket.

I ordered the red thai chili and yaki soba noodles....both were GREAT! It had this really good sweet and tangy flavor that was DELICIOUS! I see why everyone comes here during lunch. I will definitely be back when I return to SD

This is my fist time trying Thai Island and I was disappointed. My favorite thing to order when I have Thai is drunken noodles. I ordered this item here and the flavor was very good but the reason I'm giving 2 is because this is not a legitimate Thai place. They use fettuccine noodles instead of the real thing. This is more pasta based food, NOT REAL Thai!I won't order here again.

Yes, just YES! They have been around for 20+ years, same location, and for good reason. First, the hospitality shared by the purveyors of this fine establishment is so warm and wonderful. It's as if they're welcoming you into their home and sharing their favorite things with you.

Second, the food. If you've never tried Thai food before, this is a good place to start. For one they know how to prepare the food well, and from my experience they are not afraid to ask questions and make recommendations. The menu isn't scary, and it has a really nice mix of favorites - though I was a little sad when I couldn't get fresh rolls...next time, you will be mine, oh yes, you will be mine.

We had a sampling of sushi, along with Penang curry. The sushi was good, flavorful, and very well-priced. The curry was so yummy, and even though I elected for "Thai spicy" (10/10), it didn't light me up or make me feel as if I needed to drown the burn with copious amounts of water/rice/milk/whatever-is-available.

Overall, this will be a go-to when the "what sounds good for dinner (but I don't wanna cook)" inevitably comes around again.

Horrible - when we asked to order items the server even said "no don't order that, it won't be good" ... I mean at least she's honest but because she was so honest I had to go with my third choice meal ....

The place has been here for ages! The food is super authentic and the price is reasonable in downtown San Diego.

Good, inexpensive thai and sushi spot downtown. The owners are nice people and have been in this location before the buildings surrounding it were built. I feel good about supporting this business

This 20+ year old local Thai restaurant in Downtown SD is definitely well worth your time, taste buds, and pennies!

Not only is the service impeccable, but the food was out of this world DELICIOUS and inexpensive!  

This spot a local family business that a wife and husband operate now and I can't recommend it enough!

Pretty good deal, well spent money. We went there expecting to find an expensive restaurant instead found a simple but well served food. Not luxury at all but worthy to go there to have a quick and tasty oriental food

Very kind and fast service, even when they are busy both husband and wife take care of every client making everyone feel welcome.

I have eaten here for the past 2 years and food is always great from Drunken noodles to the Basil chicken and thai tea. Flavor are always on point and always a fast service special when I call in.
