Our second stop on our wine tasting adventure was at Tertulia Cellars. There was only one other table occupied and they were on the other side of the venue from us. The place felt more modern and we sat at a comfortably sized table for my party of four. We each asked for wine tasting and was given the most generous pours I have ever seen.

As I mentioned I am not a huge wine fan, but they had this one red wine with a jalapeño flavor that was quite fantastic. The pours are so generous that honestly wouldn't recommend coming here unless all your friends are wine fans because otherwise it leaves a lot of wine.

Our server was very energetic. She didn't go into great details about the wine but she was so enthusiastic it was easy to ignore that. She answered any questions we had and checked on us often. It was very nice.

The BEST Washington wine is found here - I promise!!

They have tons of awesome reds so it would be a must-do if you're in the area and are looking for a standout tasting room for reds. (We are red lovers, so just a heads up - we skipped their non-reds, but they don't have many non-reds anyways in case it's helpful to know.)

It's in a location that made me question the quality (it's in the parking lot of a Hampton Inn - I definitely judged) but I realized that it made it more of a hidden gem in the end. I actually almost had my husband skip it because of this, too - SO happy we went in anyways!

My husband and I came here the first time a few months ago and had such a fantastic tasting experience (I forget the name of the woman who helped us, but she's young, has light brown hair and wore it in a bun). The woman who helped us was the best sommelier we've ever had - she was so insanely informative! Not just on Tertulia wines, but shared knowledge on so many others for our general knowledge as well. (I left with a pretty hefty list in my phone!) She was also so kind, fun the be around and generally helpful. We bought lots of bottles!

When you're having a day wine tasting, sometimes it's hard to tell if you love a wine because you're tipsy or because it is indeed awesome, so the real test is when you crack open those bottles at home totally sober. Omg this wine ended up being just as awesome as we remembered - and a couple varieties even more so!

We came back a second time recently to taste and buy more wines and were psyched to have the same woman do our pourings again (it was very busy but she still spent a nice amount of time explaining the wines). A fab experience with her again! So a tip is to look for the young woman in a bun - she's the best :)

I must mention that my husband and I always veto wine clubs. We are super picky and don't want to feel locked in anywhere so that's just our MO. But, after loving our first case of wines (we bought a nice variety our first time at Tertulia) and being sad when it was gone, we ended up joining the next time we visited. We purchased more than a case our second time so won't get the club selection for a few months, but I'll write an updated post once I've been a member awhile if there's anything to add.

Our favorite stand out wines: Carménère, C.C. and Grenache. The Elevation wines (different Tertulia vineyard) are pretty fantastic as well. When we've gone to the tasting room we were able to try a few via their coravin - so just a tip to ask if you're hoping to try those.

All in all - this place is a total knock out if you're a red lover!! And don't judge the location - it's a total gem!! Enjoy :)

      So fun!

Great wines! All were amazing and smooth wines. Tastings are $10 but the fee is waived with a $40 purchase :) very down to earth, friendly staff. Will be coming again!

      So many delicious wines!

Nice new tasting room. I was staying at the adjacent Hampton Inn and Suites which is also fabulous by the way. I wandered across the parking lot to a building of shared Winery tasting rooms and tried Tertulia Cellars. The wines were awesome. The Tasting Room was great with with several hosts who are knowledgeable about the wines.
Try the Reds particularly the Carmenere.

Love this hidden gem. People normally go to the Hollywood for wineries. This one is much closer 6o downtown with tasty and affordable wines.

Love these wines! Love the palette this wine maker has. Their Woodinville tasting room experience is 5-star. Brendan will answer every single question you have about the wines with enthusiasm and grace. His knowledge is over the top! Cute tasting room; staff seem nice enough, although not overly friendly. The guy pouring would share what seemed like a script about the wine then walk away. Seemed eager for us to leave once he realized we weren't buying anything else. It wasn't busy, so it's not like they needed the table for other guests.

The wine is good, although not quite our style. More fruity and sweet than our preference. There is a "pairing" for the 4 reds, but it's not much. A few dried cranberries, 5 dried blueberries, 5 chocolate chips and a few pumpkin seeds. It's definitely enough as it's not meant to be a snack, but for two people and $30 worth of tasting, it seemed a little small.

Our biggest complaint is that the pours were much less than typical. Maybe 2-3 tiny sips at best. I'm aware it's meant to be a small taste, but this was much, much less than other tasting rooms...especially for $15 per tasting.

I am not a fan of the wine. All of them had an off taste. The atmosphere is cute/new industrial. The employees aren't very friendly. Prices too high. There are many better options down the street 2 miles.

I walked in and immediately felt at home. Great fun space and so convenient to the freeway. Beautiful Walla Walla estate wines, and Brendan was so knowledgeable and attentive. They even have small bites available to enjoy with the wines. Can't wait to go back!
