This place is very delicious and their servers are very attentive and pleasant. We had the boat for 3! The quality and texture of the fish was fresh and taste amazing. They also have special orders on fish such as salmon belly, king salmon, katsuo, o torso, fatty albacore etc! They have a very big menu to chose from! I would definitely recommend this place to go out to eat.

I love this place for quality of and the atmosphere! And I understand that it's all disposable when you do delivery. That stated the site makes you select if you want them. Personally I don't- everyone one less piece of plastic making its way to the ocean or landfills is great!
Sharing- and can't give up their soups and dragon rolls! That sashimi is always fresh and buttery!
So these will just end up in a junk drawer with a 100 others until I find a place to take them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nick M.San Francisco, CA764Feb 3, 2024
Really love stopping by this place when we come to Wilton Manors! The sushi is good, the prices are fair, and their happy hour is an excellent deal.
If you hitting up the bars in the area and are looking for some healthier none pizza or fried food options, give this place a try!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 23, 2023Updated review86 check-ins
After living here for 5 years and eating at Tee-Jays over 80 times, it's time to update my old review. Indeed Tee-Jays has changed with the times and offers more special sushi rolls, sashimi variety and a larger Thai menu.
My favorite dishes are consistently good: Sashimi Dinner with 16 pieces, Popeye's Spicy Salad, Hamachi Jalapeno, Salmon Yuzu, and Sashimi Bomb. All good!
For Thai, the Nam Sod appetizer takes you to Bangkok, and Chiangmai Noodles takes you to you-know-where. Whole Deep Fried Snapper is a treat. The curry dishes are great and my friend Ric swears by his fav Grilled Tofu.
Location counts between 3 major gay bars, so tables are pretty full at dinner Thurs-Sun.
Service is fast and friendly, and you can tell there are many regular customers there, like me!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jan 14, 2017Previous reviewI've had Tee-Jay's humongous sushi boats that were catered at a private party. The rolls were delicious, so I looked forward to Tee-Jay's for lunch. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, and a break from the crowds of people in the strip mall.
The bento-style lunch boxes were just "ok." The sashimi was fresh and we ate everything, but there was nothing special or unique about the food that you couldn't get at any Japanese-Thai restaurant. Maybe we're spoiled by New York City, especially Hells Kitchen where about 4 Thai and/or Sushi restaurants compete with each other on every block, and try to out-do the competition with new flavors, unique sushi and regional Thai dishes.
Maybe Tee-Jay is focusing solely on serving to Floridian or middle America tastes, but with all kinds of people living and visiting Wilton Manors now, perhaps Tee-Jay's could corner the market if they had a greater variety of fish other than "Chef's Choice" being tuna, white tuna and salmon. More imagination please! - Nov 14, 2023Updated review197 check-ins
I must say that I was totally and completely delighted with Tee-Jay Thai Sushi. Upon entering, the first thing that struck me was a delightful, tastefully done décor in rich lavender tones. Yes, I did say lavender, the color so often the brunt of gay jokes, but this is done in anything but a joke. Its simplicity and style all work together, in concert, giving it a delightful, inviting warmth and charm.
Secondly, the menu is impressive. It's extensive in its offerings with a listing of over 23 appetizers, 8 soups, some 7 salads, and 11 Tee-Jay favorites ranging from hot and spicy fish to crispy duck and Pad Thai lobster. Further, there is a complete curry, noodles and rice, wrapped roll, sushi/sashimi, grilled, stir-fried, various sauces, and dessert offerings. Besides the menu listings, they have several daily specials from which I ordered the dragon lobster offering. It came in one of the most delightful, practical, and inviting presentations I have ever encountered at any restaurant, regardless of the price, and was topped by one of the best tuna tartars I have ever experienced.
Being the nebby type of guy I am, that is when it comes to food (OK, sex too, I won't digress into that pit of sleaze) I couldn't resist checking with other customers as to what they had ordered. All of their dishes also came in delightful, appetizing presentations and they too were all impressed not only with the quality but also with the distinct, unique flavors of their dish.
In short, I found Tee-Jay to be one of the best of the better restaurants in the area, particularly when I do a price-proportional comparison.
The downsides are that parking can be a bitch. Though Tee-Jay is located in a strip mall with a large parking area, it fills quickly and, as everyone knows, Wilton Manor is hell-bent on doing everything it can, from ripping out 98 parking spaces in order to create a Taj Mahal type of City Hall to metered street parking on to a planned two-lane main street all done in order to make parking and access as inconvenient as possible for everyone.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0May 24, 2011Previous reviewJust to make sure my five star rating for them wasn't just an out of my mind whim, I've had dinner there again twice. To my delight, they lived up to it. So I'm sticking with the five stars. Great service, price proportional; hence about as good as it gets.
May 10, 2011Previous reviewLocated in a semi failing strip mall store front in the heart of the what now gives every indication of being the withering Wilton Manors gay district, I didn't expect much. In particular it is in a store front that has seen numerous restaurants open with great hype in the past only to abruptly close, and like Mustard's before it, during the wee, early 3 to 4 o'clock AM hours of the morning.

I've reviewed this restaurant before, usually ordering my favorites. This time decided to try something new. WOW. The TeeJay salad was unbelievable. The combination of flavors of fresh sushi and the sauce, sprouts, oranges was fantastic. Definitely top of my list for a fresh flavored dish. JB roll is a home run with fresh salmon and a dab of cream cheese. A great meal

Didn't have to ask twice for anything. The fish is very fresh. I had the Monster Roll and Spider Roll. Both were excellent .
I would repeat as often as I'm able. - Aug 30, 2023
Another successful trip to Ft Lauderdale, and another tasty dinner at Tee-Jay! What a gem this place is! In essence, it's just a basic sushi joint, but the service and food are truly outstanding.
On this most recent visit to TJ, we tried the Namsod for appetizer once again. (It's kind of like Larb but without as much citrus.) This dish was tasty as usual, and I will definitely be ordering it again. We also tried a second appetizer that was complementary!! It was a cucumber-wrapped tuna sushi roll, and it was yummy. I don't recall the name of it because we didn't order it--it just came compliments of the chef!
For an entrée, my friend Jerry and I ordered the sashimi dinner to share. It featured 16 pieces of fresh fish of different varieties--salmon, tuna, conch, etc. The entire assortment was really tasty!
Try Tee-Jay's if you are in town. You are sure to enjoy yourself and receive stellar service the entire time!

Once I discovered Tee-Jays, i have refused to go anywhere else. This is hands down the best sushi in wilton manors. The food is always delicious and the servers are always friendly and accommodating. My grandma came down to visit from Kentucky and she hadn't had sushi in so long and her mind was blown with how great their soft shell crab roll was. What she ordered wasn't even on the menu, i wish i remembered what it was called because it was delicious.

What a nice surprise I noticed since a long time that the food quality has gone down but this is literally topping everything. At this point I don't even know are they even washing their produce or not since the sticker of the green bell pepper is still on it. This is beyond disgusting and I would not recommend that establishment.

This restaurant used to be so good. Not anymore. I took a friend here about a month ago and it was just awful. The service was poor and slow, and the food was terrible and not served hot.
My friend ordered pork dumplings. They arrived cold and had to be sent back to be reheated. They also looked exactly like the pork dumplings you can buy at Trader Joe's.
I was horrified by how awful this restaurant is now. Stay away!!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0
