I always order go-to so I can't comment on their restaurant service. I rotate between this location and the Garden Grove location on Brookhurst and Westminster.
This Tebo Tebo Tea Lounge has quick service with to-go orders. The parking lot is a little small so finding parking can be difficult.
Another Yelper mentioned that they run out of ingredients very often and that is true. I will order a drink and will be told that they are out of stock with certain toppings.
They offer very tasty juices (be sure to ask if it's available first) and the OMG is one of my favorites! The popcorn chicken is also very good! They have a very large menu so a little bit of everything for all taste buds.
The restrooms are clean and decent looking. It's located way in the back on the right side. It looks very modern and there's only one single restroom instead of stalls.
I rated this Tebo Tebo Tea Lounge 3 stars because they are always out of ingredients and that's a let down. Other than that this place isn't too bad. Both food and drinks are yummy!
NOTE: they are open late and that's what I really like about this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emily K.Garden Grove, CA11070107Dec 28, 2018
I got Sweetie Thai, but 70% of the drink was just ICE and there wasn't even much liquid in it. I wouldn't recommend their food since there were cockroaches not too long ago..
However they do have buy a food item get 50% of your drink? or vice versa.
And girl's night out is buy one drink get one 50% off.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 20, 2017
I only come here for their teas which come in a fun bottle!
We got the Tropical Twister and the Triple Stars. The drinks are always great, but tonight my visit was extremely slow. We got our order taken and then we waited for over 10-15 minutes for our teas to come out. Not sure if there's only one person in the back, however I've been to other places with one person in the back and they're pretty efficient.
It started to get crowded after around 9:00pm since most people were stuck inside waiting for their drink order. I'll be back again to see if their service has changed. If not, I'll probably opt for their other location or another tea spot in general.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 4915377063May 4, 2017
I had the aloha pineapple smoothie with mini boba the drink tasted really sweet so I think they used canned pineapple for this smoothie. It appears to be a drink and dessert place to hang out even late at night the music is loud enough to keep you awake. I think its better to try other drinks at this place when they have a large selection. It's more fun to enjoy new flavors, textures and colors you just never know what you could like. This is a good place to explore Asian drink combos.
The dessert portions can be shared by 2 people or more especially when I saw the tall brick toast it appear that 6 people could share it. Great place for a group of people to hang out having some drinks and chat in a upbeat ambiance.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Feb 28, 2017
Tebo, tebo, tebo! 2 stars for your service! 4 stars for your dri-inks!
Stopped by for a quick drink before heading back to NorCal and was greeted by a large menu of various drinks and snack items. The interior is dark and almost club like, bathrooms are towards the back. I quickly consulted Yelp before ordering and went with the Blossom, which is a Chrysanthemum tea with Longan Honey. I wanted Lychee Jelly, but they were out ... so I opted for Mango Jelly Stars.
Pretty much a congo line when ordering here, as well as waiting. There's literally 2 people working in the back, which is problematic when there is a constant wait to order drinks. There were 4 people who ordered before us and we had ordered 7 drinks. The wait took about 15-20 minutes. Did not see any sense of urgency here.
Though the service was lacking, the Blossom was definitely delicious. Chrysanthemum is a very nostalgic flavor and I loved the usage of Longan honey to provide a good amount of sweetness. The Mango Jelly Stars were good, but didn't go up the boba straw well. Tebo Tebo does a fine job of setting itself apart with its signature plastic bottle. However, the menu item names are a bit adult in nature which is strange. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my drink and hope to try more in the future. I just hope their service gets better, perhaps if they weren't so understaffed.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oringmonkey D.Los Angeles, CA0111Dec 22, 2018Updated review
This establishment, if you would even refer to it as an establishment, really makes you wonder at what point the business owner would just give up and call it quits. It is VERY EVIDENT that no one cares for this business. The apathy starts from the top and trickles down. The workers seem defeated and are apologetic about never having anything in stock. We were told the ice machine broke down awhile back...WELL THEN FIX IT!!! Of course, we didn't tell him that. We know he has no say in it.
Historically, they're always out of whatever we want to order. At one point in time, we were tabulating how many times they were out of boba, and it was somewhere along the lines of 80 to 90% of the time. We kept in mind that we would arrive late at night, so maybe they didn't want to cook up another batch, but we also visited in the day time and guess what??? Out of boba... -_-
The men's bathroom basically has no lights...can't see anything. No one cares enough to even change a light bulb. Not sure about the women's bathroom. Maybe on my next visit I'll identify as a woman and go inside the women's bathroom. Just kidding! That was a joke because I will never visit this place again.
Dear owner, whoever you are, give up. Close down or sell it off. There are people with extra sets of chromosomes that can operate this business better than you. Maybe it's a money laundering operation and it's me missing the point...
Attached photo is for the location down the street, but you get the idea...If you're into a high-protein, low-cholesterol diet, try the cockroach banh mi.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Feb 17, 2018Previous reviewThis establishment, if you would even refer it as an establishment, really makes you wonder at what point the business owner would just give up and call it quits. Went to go eat at Tebo since it's been a few years. Never going back. The customer service was terrible. Large boba ran out and was overcooked (It wasn't chewy, more like mush and old). The workers messed up our order twice. The drinks have definitely lowered in quality and aren't even close to being similar to the picture descriptions in the menu. We ordered brick toast and it was disgusting. Fruit was old not even cold or fresh, a nat flew out of the brick toast right when we cut into it.
I'll let the photo speak further about our experience.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alyson Lei M.San Diego, CA78387108Jul 5, 2018
So after a long day of yelp adventures, my brother and I wanted to take the kids out for dessert. I was craving a Brick Toast so he suggested this place. When we got here we sat ourselves and waited for 10 minutes before someone came to assist us. Might have been even longer if my brother didn't walk up to the window and ask if we were supposed to seat ourselves. The guy finally comes with the menus and takes another 15 minutes to take our order. At this point I'm already irritated and just willing to leave. But we stayed.
We didn't end up getting a Brick Toast because he said it takes about 40 minutes to make. And they were all out of their other desserts so we had to settle for some appetizers and shaved ice. Yeah, my kids weren't too happy with the shaved ice. And the only appetizer that I enjoyed was the Cream Cheese Rangoons, which was still pretty gross because as soon as I bit into it oil started dripping down my chin.
Overpriced for the food and quality of food. I'm never coming back, and I regret even trying the place out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Christine H.Glendale, CA318196474Jun 3, 2018
Located in one of the busiest plazas on Brookhurst st, the bf and I ventured into Tebo on a whim as he was craving boba, and we had to pick up some banh mis from Che Cali too. We ordered the Crimson Peach and it was given in a slender Gatorade - looking bottle, which is nice and portable, but very wasteful/harmful for the environment. The drink was a bit too sweet and tasted artificial and full of crushed ice. I usually get 50% sweet but the bf has a sweet tooth, so I let it slide. We were not a huge fan of the place, as he said their drink quality deteriorated quite a lot, and service was a bit impersonal but still cordial. This is a review for their express area in the front for drinks.
Drink - 2.5 Price - 3 Service - 3 Ambiance - 2.5 (it's just a dark room with a few dimmed/broken marquee drink menus) I just stuck with a 3 since they had a lot of vegan friendly slushies and simple syrup teas.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jessica V.Westminster, CA1732666May 31, 2018
I usually don't like Tebo, but I thought I'd give it another try. I've been sanding here for the past 15 minutes. No employee ever said hi, acknowledge that I came in, or said they would be right with me.
I also overheard the employees talk about how they accidentally gave the wrong bags to the wrong customers. If you weren't helping me, at least make sure that whatever you're doing, you should do it right. There was also one employee who had a plate of food and literally walk back in forth 5 times looking confused... Their names are Lena and Leslie btw.
I didn't think it could get any worse, but the employees look like they are running around like they don't know what they're doing. They really need better training or better management...Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 13, 2016
Customer service here can be better.
I walked in here wanting to get a drink for to go and the man who was in the front told me to get in line before this group of family. I waited for about 3 minutes and the group of family told me that they weren't in line, they were just waiting for their family member in the restroom. W T H. That was awkward. -___-
I ordered my usual drink O.M.G. And the cashier asked me for coins since they don't have any more coins change ON A WEEKEND NIGHT. Lol. Ok. I got my drink after 8 minutes has passed- that must be the longest time I waited for a drink this year. The jelly in the drink tasted kind of hard and does not tasted as my usual drink in the tebo tebo in Irvine. I d k why but I don't think I'll boost this one anytime soon again.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0
